Dimethyl ether is some really heavy stuff. I’m a biologist and I have to take a lot of chemistry classes, dimethyl ether is a pretty heavy organic solvent that we used for our labs and even with all of our fume hoods it made me feel lightheaded and sick. I’m not surprised at all, that it made you feel not great
I think the original Silly String was banned at some point because they used CFCs (flourons) gas which was linked to degrading the ozone layer. The new ones like DME are ok and some aerosols simply use carbon dioxide
@maqaroon I know there's been talk in the states of banning compressed air cans but I'm not sure if that's a waste thing or a pollutant thing tbh 🤔 either way I'd probably be less against it if I weren't having to dig through mountains of empty blind box toy containers at thrift stores around me. Really put the problem of disposable products in perspective unfortunately.
@@strayiggytv knowing my dear ol USA, it's probably just expensive and they don't wanna spend money on it. Or they no longer have access to whatever means they were getting the supplies/labor from. If I had to guess

OH MY GOSHHH! I’m so happy this came up in my recommended 😭 I used to watch your felting videos like 9 years ago! You were one of the first TH-camrs I ever really watched consistently!
These videos always are such a rollercoaster, a cool product (no pun intended) that is very satisfying, you want to buy it only to hear it's impossible and discontinued.
That little asmr bit you did near the start was SO GOOD, it reminded me a little of the crystal putty with the old scientist man branding (one-co soba has a few videos on these!)
I found your channel about 9 years ago. I check in occasionally to see how you're doing and how your channel is going. I don't have much interest in what you post about anymore, but I get so excited when I see a video that piques my interest.
I want this so badly now. I’m jealous so jealous lol thank you for sharing this. Maybe one day it will be available worldwide as a sensory toy / slime.
This is one fascinating product! It really is a shame it was discontinued and Japan only, but I can see the issues with the stuff sticking to clothes or hair ^_^0 As a bracelet it does look pretty cute, like how back in the 90's girls would wear chunky scrunchies on our wrists in leu of regular bracelets (I feel old just saying this😂)
@PixiePrincess501 probably to do with where we live, I'm in the UK and I'm assuming you aren't. but also it could just be about people not wanting to keep it in their pocket for whatever reason or something.
4:53 The ingredients you show for this product list menthol, which is an ingredient that would intentionally cause a cooling affect. It's what puts the "icy" in IcyHot products. It also lists isopentane, which is used when freezing tissue sample, and is a major component in natural gas. Also a lot of those listed ingredients are INCREDIBLY flammable. And some of them are not meant to be inhaled, not surprised it made you feel sick tbh.
Hi Joanna, do you have diy videos of needoh, or something similar? I just found out about those and where I live I cannot afford them, I wonder if it's possible to make them ourselves?
I’ve never wanted to touch something so bad!! Lmao! But I’m not surprised it didn’t make it on the market because it’s probably got some chemicals in it
Looking up the usual summer temps in places like Tokyo....how are so many people complaining about the heat? It seems pretty cool compared to the American South, even the humidity is similar Is 85° in Tokyo different or something?
I live in Australia, where the temperature can reach around 35 degrees Celsius (95 F) in summer and is quite humid. If Australia is anything like Tokyo with humidity, it is quite different.

What the blue comment in youtube?
Honestly im glad its a failed product. Aerosols are bad for the environment and when the can runs out you just chunk it in the trash.

Could you make a video about different types of mold materials/ ways to make molds?

small pronunciation note: thompson (and thomas and anthony) are pronounced without the h, so tompson, tomas, antony. english spelling strikes again 🙃
Anthony has a pronounced “th” sound though, most of the time
Most Anthonys I know do in fact pronounce it as a “th”
Very polite. Thank you for being kind. I must agree with the others though. My husband is an Anthony and we do pronounce the th

Humidity makes a huge difference.
