Once again I must say you are probably not a person that knows much about business . Until you know exactly how much they had to pay just to use the name Hello Kitty and the images maybe you shouldn't make expectations that you don't understand

i was thinking the exact same thing, was about to comment that.. that price point is way too much. Moriah plushies have embroidery and they cost way less of course they dont come with the oven and the "dough" but still.. thats insane
so I agree and counter to the point of donnahanna10565 buld a bear near me ( also in canda not to far form jackie as the crow flies) has offical hello kitty stuffies that are around 54 dollars for the average size ( ie around the size of an average teddy 17 ish inches depending in ears) and you can add an arr of custom sounds and scents ( 7 for scents 4-14 for sounds
I believe the spatula at the back of the oven was ment as the plug for the oven

Honestly I feel like, for the price point, all these plushies should have had embroidered faces and details. Printed on fabric just seems lazy to me.

Items this pricey should not be mystery boxes! I’m not especially fond of mystery boxes anyway. It’s just a money grab, getting the consumer to buy more items than they otherwise would in order to get the item they want. With small, inexpensive items I don’t mind as much, but at this price point it’s ridiculous.

Ok we get it you don't like fun. Just because you don't like mystery boxes doesn't mean others don't . I got these for my niece's and a few other k!ds and they loved the mystery of it ,if you don't want to pay the money then go find a cheaper mystery box simple.
I hate HATE companies that sell mystery boxes for kids. Kids get more attached to their toys if they get to choose them. Look at build a bear, imagine paying and the build a bear you get is a mystery that you cant pick, it would suck. Kids love choosing their own friend.
I mean I'm fine with mystery boxes for kids... but at MUCH more reasonable pricing! (over 60 dollars??? What!)
That's the great thing about these. Nobody is forcing you to buy them for your kids. Its your choice to or not.
I don’t think these ones are for kids, the current popularity of hello kitty and Sanrio things seem* to be more with teens and young adults rather than young kids.

@@Superfreaky2 another thing as well is that it gets expensive! What if your kid wants a specific thing from the mystery box, but doesn't get it? Then they will ask you to try again, which is more money spent. And I doubt just buying the one they want second hand is as satisfying as opening it out of the packaging.

I think it might be that the people they were collabing with didn't want the heating part. Sometimes collabs are just the IP saying "Here, make this like this and no way else."
I feel like these are for the diehard Sanrio fans and not for the average consumer or child. It’s likely been skimped on production due to licensing costs, I do adore Sanrio but they sometimes have odd collaboration demands too so they might’ve removed the heat because they’re actually characters rather than a baked good if that makes sense
It could have been a licensing thing, pokemon with build a bear is insanely strict. Not supposed to put ANYTHING inside them besides their licensed sounds, can't add sounds later. I had staff tell me my licensed merch had a fake sound box and refused to put it inside. I know different company maybe they worried if there was a recall for the warmer in past toys
That's true, I got a tom nook build a bear and they wouldn't let me put any sounds in it that weren't the official animal crossing one
The Sanrio licensing fee is pretty high I heard, so the costs had to be cut somewhere and the price increased.The designs could've been stitched on and more of the characters' trademark sounds.
I hate that there is a fake drawer and button on the oven when there easily could have been real ones for pretend play. The drawer could have held the tools used to make to the dough like the measuring cup and spoon (and other cooking toys if you happen to have any like Play-Doh to replace the dough once it dries, ect.) and the button could be used to pretend to bake without having to wait for the long timer perhaps making a clicky noise when turned or a squeak when pressed (Battery Free Fun noise.) It's lazy and it makes the oven much more single use and for that price point there has to be more interest than a small slightly interactive blind box toy at the end (even if it does heat up/vibrate and are scented.)
I dont think they could fit a measuring cup, a spoon, and other toys in there.

I am getting the original Cookiezz oven and fridge for my 2 girls that are 8 and 6 and I am so glad to see this one on here so I know not to bother with this one.
I think it's worth it if it's on sale or you get a coupon, but definitely not full price.
I got my niece the oven one last year for Christmas and this year I am getting her the fridge!

Well, cinamonroll is a dog, so their sound is similar to the dog pastry. But yeah, kinda disappointed the company didn't give the Sanrio characters unique sound. They're cute but they were definitely not worth the price.

I would be keeping the cup n spoon because the cup looks like the right size for a lot of pet foods and the spoon is just a hella cute spoon for stirries
My Akita is a menace when it comes to cardboard. She LOVES to shred boxes. Chewy Day is her favorite day cause that means she gets a big box to shred. Honestly, it makes recycling boxes easier, lol.
I wonder if the reason there isn't a heating pad inside them is because the 'Hello Kitty' company didn't want to risk lawsuits of children getting burnt if something happened.

I like Hello Kitty but I'm not a fan of how expensive it is. Me personally, if I see that sort of price on a toy, I won't buy it. And considering the toy isn't that impressive, if I did buy it, I'd be disappointed and feel like I've wasted money

They're totally cute, but I agree that for a one-time thing (You make the dough character, put it in the oven, and get a plushie and that's it.) $65 is pretty expensive.
Also, in a fun fact twist of irony, the only character with toe beans is My Melody, a bunny. Bunnies actually don't have toe beans IRL

Thanks for the review Jackie! You saved me from buying it as a gift to one of my best friend's family member who's into Sanrio. It's really such a shame. I'm going to crochet based on the shape of those plushies instead.
So much money for three small, really basic printed (not even embroidered!) plushies..... For that price you can geat yourself any HUGE plushie from the store and some perfume to scent it yourself.
In fact, I went to Disneyland a year ago and bought myself an ENORMOUS Stitch plushie. It cost just over 50€ and is as big as my entire torso, the face is embroidered and all the different colors and patterns are actually different colored fabrics that are stitched together with perfect accuracy - not a HINT of printed on patterns anywhere. Oh, and of course I got to choose the exact plushie I wanted. AND I got the memory of going *to Disneyland*, which was absolutely magical and which I will remember whenever I hug this plushie now.

As a teen that grew up a hello kitty obsessed little girl I like the concept but the price is just 😬. 20 bucks seems more reasonable than 60. I feel like they are only worth 20ish bucks 😅
every time you do one you think they gave you bowls in the past and they never have. in your mind you imagine a time when the bowl was provided like you want, but no, every time its a salty surprise.

Will the forgotten doughball left in the oven get moldy? If a kid were to get that for example christmas i guarantee no one would remember to remove it since it´s so out of sight.
I haven’t owned the product myself, but I can at least state from how cheap the product is, it definitely isn’t air tight. Between that and how little water is incorporated to begin with, the dough ball will probably become a dried clump at the bottom of the little bin long before it has a chance to mold from what little moisture is on it.

Overpriced, cheaply made, and predatory sale tactics. They know most kids will get upset if they don't get the exact one they want and there are some parents out there who will keep buying until they get the one their kid wants.

I got a giant candycorn cinnamoroll stuffed toy, scented like pumpkin spice, for $40. The price of this is insane. You can get these Sanrio characters in better forms for cheaper
Tbh, I decided to give it a try and bought 2 of them and got Cinnamoroll and Hello Kitty. I didn't open Hello Kitty's all the way (I just took the outside covering off and only opened the box to see which mold was in it)and decided to give it to a friend who will make it with her niece for Christmas this year and i made Cinnamoroll and will just take the sound box out and stuff him with stuffing and add more cinnamon and vanilla scents to him. I might even buy a mini sound box from Build a Bear and add his japanese quote for "I Love You" to it. It's pretty easy to customize compared to the originals tbh.

The one plus to these, new subscriber btw loved watching you, is that you can actually play with the oven after. As a kid I actually think I would have liked that more then the plush. I begged for an easy bake oven as a kid, never got one, so I pretended the back of a chair was an oven and I would "bake" all kinds of things. So the oven part is cute ...not worth $65 tho

My problem has been things like this:

Me: sees product Jackie reviewed in the store. "Ohhh it's that thing Jackie reviewed!.....but she said it sucked..." Buys it anyway because Jackie reviewed it.
I can't help myself, I wanna try it too! I will say though that after I saw you do the mini brands it gave me the confidence to try resin products, and now I feel more comfortable trying out non prepared resin projects. I do, however, have a little lizard mold I plan on dumping the extra resin from all the kits into to see what it does. If you didn't throw all the resin away you should try it in a random mold. I'm eager to see how it comes out
