    You truly have a great personality. You are naturally funny and entertaining. Your instructions are on point. I HATE watching videos and the person is trying so hard to be cute and funny and they're not. I look forward to more of your videos AND I'm going to try this pattern for myself.

      So I started cutting blocks last and I have a lot of left overs and not a lot of blocks. I didn't have a jelly roll. I cut my strips from fat quarters. So before I cut any more, I thought I'd ask if it would be terrible if I sewed two strips together at the ends. This is my first quilt (by myself), so I'm not quite sure how to proceed. Thoughts?

    • @SmittenKitten.
      @SmittenKitten. 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know you asked this a month ago, but I thought I'd comment anyway! You can totally sew strips together! Whenever I need to make longer strips, I sew them together, but on the diagonal. You don't need to do it that way, it's a habit from combining strips for binding.

    Beginner here!!!! I have been watching TH-cam after TH-cam video to learn how to make a quilt and your videos are amazing.... You make it look so easy and quick. So I try and it is harder than I thought.. I have learned from TH-cam how to do everything from crocheting to wood carving to fixing my car to building a she shed.. all I have picked up fast.. for some reason, I'm having trouble and I really want to take all my sons baseball shirts and make a really cool quilt for his bed.. and I don't want a boring quilt.. go big or go home right, well, I'm already home. Sooo.... 🤔 I'm impatient as you can see. Anyways- thanks for starting this TH-cam channel, I'm super excited to learn all I can from you...... ❤

    Thanks for the cool ideas, both for piecing and for quilting! They help spur my imagination too. I just realized you could use the same strip technique to make half-square triangle units (HSTs). Just use two equal size strips sewn down each side, rather than three strips. I also plan to use your quilting design to finally finish my very first UFO, a log cabin quilt top from the 1990's! :-) Thanks again.

    The rolled up fabric is jelly roll fabric, but Angela you probably know that already. I love jelly roll quilts!! I'm curretly working on one!

    I like that you're showing more of the quilting process and patterns that you use. The piecing is the easy part, the quilting, not so much.

    I was dreading my first sandwiching, until you showed the batting you can fuse, hooray!
    Tutorial on binding? Eek! Yes, subscribing does equal happiness.

      Great idea for future episodes! A while back Angela made a quick binding tutorial - no wine or popcorn involved, but enjoy :) th-cam.com/video/cGOIAnc0_M4/w-d-xo.html

    Thanks again for a really fun show. You crack ME up! I especially like the detailed drawing of your quilting in the little side box as you quilt. Very helpful.
