Too funny, I set the speed to 25% so that I can check out Angela's quilting detail better. The HUGE glass of wine and Angela's voice is perfect! Just kidding....LOVE Angela. I just wish we still had access to everything that was supposed to be free (patterns) with these video's!
Happy Turkey Day Angela and family... Could watch you all day... Love that you share the FMQ part...I am dealing with a machine that doesn't have "regulation" .. Watching you validates my style that each and every stitch does not have to be equal... Much more fun to "go with the flow"....GB
I am beyond excited to have found you. Have I ever quilted? No BUT I am going to try. I have literally binge watched all your videos. You’re amazing. Thanks for sharing your skills with us all.
I am so bummed!!!! I subscribed to you channel over a year ago and love watching you. But just recently I noticed a lot of my TH-cam channels that I had subscribe to, I’m no longer subscribed to anymore! I have missed watching you, you always keep me entertained! Can’t wait to catch up on all I missed!!!
Since my dog was a puppy I trained her to bark when the smoke alarm goes off. It always results in big treats. I didn't expect to have to get up and treat her twice during your episode!! Thanks for all the laughs. Your free motion quilting is very uniform!!
i don't want the stress of sewing the small tri's i think that those tri's are good for snowing balling not to be confused with ''easy christmas snowballs'' lol you rock angela!
New quilter here. You make the quilting look so smooth and easy. Your work is so lovely. I hope I get to the point where I can be as creative and love to quilt as well.
Love it!!! Thank you for sharing this funny and beautiful video! I really want to start quilting! Really like your videos! It is very inspiring!!! Furthermore, we are going to quilt festival with my daughter! Have a lot of questions about steps and techniques! Especially about sewing machines and others. Let’s get started 🤓
Love the quilt!! A wine girl....lol... You are my kind of friend....lol ..if that is all it takes is a bottle of fine wine to make this beautiful quilt....I'm ALL IN....LOL.😅😂
I was watching this with my sleeping cat, and both times your smoke alarm when off, she shot awake and was ready to run for cover. It took some convincing but she settle back down. Unexpectedly interactive episode! Love the quilts and love your videos. Thank you for everything!
Love watching you Angela . You are a genius. Wish I could quilt like you , you do such a great job . Maybe someday I will . Keep on making your beautiful quilts , and I'll keep watching with envy . You are so fun .
I have a short cut for those quarter triangles. Just like the shortcut with 1/2 square triangles, you do a plus instead of an X. Then cut diagonally and between the sewn lines of the plus. Tada.
I adore these bright bold colors and your tutorials are awesome. I am currently making my first quilt and I am having a great time doing it. Thank You for all your inspiration!!!
Ok seriously love the heck out of you!!! I swear we could be sisters! We both have the same quirky personality and I love your addition of quilting juice. My husband recently bought me a Bernina 830 off eBay (fabulous price I might add) and I have started putting it to use. My first project I am tackling is the Paper Hearts quilt by Tula Pink that is in the Sew Red book. I would love to see you tackle this on here as I would love to see how you quilt it. Keep up the fabulous work Angela.
Thanks to you I am really noticing the machine quilting on my store bought blankets and shams. I have an appreciation for them that I didnt have before and hope that when I get my space arranged and decked out for my first attempt, some of those patterns will have seared themselves into my memory and I will be able to duplicate them, no sweat. Dang it!
I'm thankful that we have a fun video to watch (we don't have Thanksgiving here - maybe we should have something similar - I like the idea of it . . . maybe not as close to Christmas!) - hope the food wasn't too well done! And thank you. I have very few solids - time to change that! Great for showing the quilting.
Haha--that turkey baster in the studio!!! And yes, agree, as a longarmer I appreciate bulky seams pressed open. What a colorful, fun quilt!!! Thanks, Angela! Have a great/grateful Thanksgiving!!!
I just watched this and here it is almost Christmas-thanks for making me laugh and smile and get inspired to get to my machine and finish that project under the needle!
Hey I love all your quilts so much. I just watch even though I know... I never don't the quilting prat a day in my life. Never seen it done like this before.
Love these! I'm new to sewing and interested in quilting your videos are helpful and great inspirations. Plus I have a one month I'm breastfeeding so it's nice having something to watch at odd hours.
This was highly entertaining as always. The quilting is so gorgeous and really makes the quilt. I've been waiting for the smoke alarm to go off since the beginning, LOL!
Hi Angela. Another great entertainingly funny tutorial. You are such a natural at being rather witty. I really ❤️ your shows. One day I hope to finally meet you and perhaps take a class and visit your shop. But I need to save lotsa penny's for that trip as I live in the land of Oz. I like to think I have an eye for the finer details and that's why I'd like to say just how nicely cut and styled your hair is. It truly is beautiful and it suits you. Another thing I have noticed is that you tend to coordinate your nail polish to your fabric selection colours. I think that is so adorably cute. I can't wait until the Bargello episode. Until then happy Quilting!!! :-)
There is a cheat to sewing blocks. Take 2 square of fabric then place them right sides together sew around all 4 edges then cut from corner to corner and when you open them up you will have, well try it and see (2 triangle diamonds). Or another cheat is set it up the same right sides together and draw a line from 1 corner to the other then sew either side of that line and then cut along the line and open up to see what you have :) and for creating coin style strips it’s right sides together 2 different fabrics then sew down 2 opposite edges so you have a tube then cut down the middle at then you have it. If you play around there are other shapes to be made. :)
I LOVE this quilt. Im new to all this quilting business, but I think this one would be a good one for me to try. I love the half square triangle sashing. Lee x
I didn't know they made fusible batting! Where have I been? You are such a character! Love all your little jokes you include. Beautiful quilt you made. Love the pattern. I bet that sashing is a pain though. I hope you and yours has a Happy Thanksgiving. Doing mine today, too many families to go to in one day. lol Turkey, Dressing, sweet potato casserole, green beans, broccoli casserole, pumpkin pies, and peanut butter balls. You are welcome to come!
Off to buy the pattern. Surely I have enough fabric in my stash without having to buy more, but those colours are pretty delicious! Love your show Angela, you make me smile, a lot!
Tony... Look up her video on Blueprint and it shows her beautiful house and property. Upstairs she took a former dance studio made it into her long arm room and she takes you to her shop......so nice.
LOVE this pattern, Angela. Got the pattern on BluPrint but the kit is sold out so I'll use what I already have. I need to make 4 baby quilts!!! Going to try and modularize this quilt and make it smaller.. Happy Thanksgiving!
@@viv4843 It used to be available by clicking LINKS BELOW beneath the video, but since Crafty went out of business, guess they pulled the free patterns. But click the link anyway, she has little step-by-step videos beneath it.
I watched this last Wednesday when I got notified it was up. I cannot wait to watch your videos every week! With my husband on vacation and my daughter visiting I forgot to like and post though, so here goes. I enjoyed your interspersed Thanksgiving meal cooking. The first one I cooked after getting married was for my parents first visit...talk about nerves, but I also had Mom there to help. I really love the design and colors of this quilt with the gray and white as secondary colors. Very nice! Thanks!
I love this tutorial funny and very creative, what a continuation, just like your designed quilt. Thanks. You my lady are a start-artist . Get it . Great acting and talented. Thanks for the video.
Love the quilt and your basting bonus. I have only used fusible batting once and the adhesive "bled" onto my quilt top. Washing did not get it out! Not all over....just on a solid section where it really shows. And it is my fun Tula Pink Christmas quilt. Any clue what I did wrong there?
I laughed out loud a few times. You are so fun. Thanks for the tips. Wish I’d known about you sooner. I’ve yet to make my first quilt yet but I’m getting lots of ideas. Thanks again 💋
Wow she looks so young. At first I thought she was like..in her late 20s or sth. Maybe it's her upbeat attitude and passion for quilting that keeps her looking so youthful.
This is making me nervous for tomorrow (Thanksgiving)!! I hope my quilting doesn't cause the fire alarms to go off... Angela, wishing you and your family the happiest Thanksgiving, and to all my fellow quilters, I wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving, too! (If you don't celebrate, wishing you a very happy day!)
Miss your midnight quilt show!
