Hey man I’m spider island and I asked for this video when you uploaded them mando review Thank you so much for doing this video, I now have an idea on how to customise mando for my stop motion
thanks dexter I came across this brand of paint on a chinese model kit video a few months bak but the op never got back to me on where to get it. amazing stuff i think he was using it on a mazinger. this video is so informative much appreciated.
It’s weird, I tried the Molotow on a Legends Silver Surfer, had no melting problems at all, what I did have a problem with was it not staying shiny after being touched or if you put a final finish on it. Now, my problem with what you used for your final project is that it isn’t chrome, it’s shiny black with silver highlights, unless that’s a lighting issue, but it certainly didn’t look chrome, it does have the shine the others don’t, but chrome is shiny silver. Like I said, it could be the lighting in the video
Look at the bright side: you got a battle damaged mando with a great shiny helmet

I did this with the molotow. I airbrushed it on him. Light coat. I also did it to a s.h. Jango awhile back using the actual marker which also worked
I’m about to use it to make a custom Black Series Jango Fett using the new ROTJ Boba Fett body! Gonna test it out on the old POS Jango first 😂
Nice. I finally got my hands on one of these guys. Might try this for myself.
Interesting. I used a Molotow marker to chrome out an MCU wasp and war machine figure, and I didn't experience any melting at all on either
Looks amazing!
agreed :)
Yessss
This helps, thanks a lot bro 🙏
I bought some Alclad primer, gloss black and dark chrome for this very thing...

you wanna let the molotow cure for a long time like a month before touching it to reduce the smudging of the finish. most clear coats will dull it too
It's the lighting. When you look at him outside he looks much more mirror chrome.
Great job. It looks fantastic.
I love the chrome!
Benny go vroooooom
Your base is too dark. Should've used dark gray. Still looks nice tho
Thanks. I have tried gray on another toy and it does not come out shiny as a gloss black.
The link to the kit shows no products...any idea where else to get it?
Are you going to have Sotaru on your shop?

Hi Dexter, is your 1st attempt available for sale?

Nah, your mando is way too dark. I think it looked better originally.
