  • In this video I decide to repaint the Black Series Mandalorian Beskar Armor. The original paint done by hasbro was not to my liking and wanted to improve it. The end results shows a better shine to the armor and is more film accurate. Enjoy!

    I thought about repainting the armor on a newer version of Mando, kinda like the other mandalorians or Boba's armor. I like when they paint coat their beskar. It's just makes more strategic sense for a trooper

      Airbrushes aren’t too expensive now and days. I do recommend a gravity feed one so that the paint sprays on better.

    Looks good, but i did mine with a liquid chrome pen which is waaaaaay more easier to do than all those steps and i have to say it looks amazing. Its a mirror finish.

    Repaint the right thigh piece to a gun metal color and then you basically have a season 2 version of the armor

      Paint is holding up well. I don't do any extreme posing and with the right lighting the chrome shines well.

    Nice job. Thanks for this vid. I just ordered the Black Series Beskar armour Mando figure, and already knew from the product photos that it might be in need of a touch-up in places. I've been considering investing in an airbrush. Can you recommend a certain model or type of airbrush (using gravity feed or the screw-on paint receptacle), and whether you recommend an airbrush that uses a seperate air-pump or canned air? Thanks in advance.

    • @FreeterProductions
      @FreeterProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I recommend using a gravity feed airbrush. it would allow the paint to easily flow through. I use an air pump and can dial the amount of pressure I need. Canned air is just one pressure and it mostly used for large amount of coverage. I hope this helps in some way.

      I found this fabric at Walmart. I couldn’t find the link but I remember it was a micro suede brown fabric. This is the same material that was used by hot toys for their Jedi cloaks. Check your local Walmart’s to see if they still have it.

      Hey guys, get with Josh Campbell in the Star Wars Customs facebook group or in the Planet Bugle group.
      He makes awesome wired Mando capes for 16 bucks shipped.
      Sometimes he even has specials on them and sells them cheaper.

    Fantastic Job!
    I have been touching up mine here and there.
    I dont have an airbrush though.
    Since I dont like the molotov chrome pen, is there a chrome paint in a rattle can you can recommend?
    With doing commissions and all my personal projects I have to find the time to slip this total repaint in the schedule but if I had a good chrome rattle can I'd get right on it.

    • @FreeterProductions
      @FreeterProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the late response. I don’t know if there is a chrome spray can. I would be be careful because some paint cans can harm the plastic of the figure. But I’m sure there will be one made available soon.

    • @goldoozaru
      @goldoozaru 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can prime it first before putting the chrome paint. That way it won’t ruin your fig.

    You know why Hasbro did this? So they get us collectors to buy even more when they do finally decide to release a chrome, metallic version. Question is: why did they not go with this beskar edition for the Target exclusive carbonized figure?

    • @christopherfowler3269
      @christopherfowler3269 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because they hadnt yet released the Beskar version when the Carbonized on was 1st released.
      Dont worry.
      Carbo sized Beskar is coming.
