Yeah, this is my fave tribute concert, amazing musicians, plus the Pythons, just incredible. On the subject of Dhani, have a listen to his own supergroup Fistful of Mercy, you won't regret it. Great hearing you Alex, you often say something that makes me listen to a track with a new ear, especially with keyboard playing. Wonderful video, more please!

Great reaction to a masterpiece from George. Talking about Dhani, when Paul McCartney came on stage at this concert he actually joked that it looked like everyone had aged but George had stayed young! Stay safe 🤘 ✌

A beautiful, emotional tribute concert it is. Enjoyed it several times from a to z. Clapton at his very best I think. You can clearly see and feel that everybody loved George and his work. He was musically o so important, before and after the split up. A pity that Billy Preston isn't around anymore too.

And that's why I like this channel so much. About to have my second cup of coffee and this drops. Great banter between two great dudes oversea and then an excellent piece of music. It doesn't get a lot better really.

Had not heard one. What fun! I love these tributes that allow us to see such a wide range of musicians your don't normally get to see play together. But time has proven to me how much I prefer George's solo work... although Travelling Wilburies was pretty amazing too.
I also agree... the TW was a bit cliche but I think they all had fun and that's enough for me!!
Prince did not play at this concert, this was from November 29th 2002, one year after the passing of George. It was when George was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 15 2004 that Prince played on When My Guitar Gently Weeps.

Alex, this is one of my favorite songs by The Beatles. George Harrison was the one who’s solo work I bought and loved. Thanks for sharing this. Magnificent performance! Haven’t heard it in decades. (Still hoping for Kashmir. 😘 But I’ll be patient.)

Love George Harrisons work, such an underrated song writer some of his solo work is amazing, and to cement is god like status he pretty much single handedly save the British film industry when it was on it's knees in the 1980's. As an aside I know you say low budget but I think your name sounds like one of those high budget 60's british detective shows, like The Protectors, The Champions, Avengers etc, just trying to figure out which one of you would be played by Roger Moore and which by Peter Wingard.
I think that Alex could double for Michael Caine in the Harry Palmer role.

I hope it's the vinyl version? I heard it a couple of years back - a Japanese fan had uploaded it - and it sounded great. I don't like George's remastered version of ATMP, not one bit! Oh, I see it's from Concert for George. Paul did a great version of ATMP on that night. Isn't that ironic? 😞

Why do you ask? We did try to get a video out yesterday but it is blocked. Shame as it was Kashmir from Led Zep and an amazing version! Next vid out tomorrow and some good stuff coming.

BTW, Some reactors blur out the screen on live performances to avoid getting blocked. It might be worth a try? It’s so DAMN arbitrary! I mean there are several reactions out there to Kashmir 2007 that have been up for months and never blocked. It’s a crap-shoot, I guess.

On top of this aisle so dizzy Gillespie United Nations orchestra live at the Royal Albert Hall. These are Masters. Imagine dizzy Gillespie. Grand Master status who played with Charlie Parker is there in Miles Davis😊Billy was gone though. On this rendition Billy brought tears to my eyes
