I put battery tea lights in my ceramic houses or stuff them with battery timer mini lights and they look nice ! Also they make great nightlights that way !
I have replaced the pillar candles on the top of my china cabinet with timed battery candles. I know I'm late to the party on this one but it is incredibly easy and safe. No more standing on a step stool to light them and worry all evening that someone bumps the cabinet and they fall causing harm. It might be an idea to provide battery tealights and candles so the tenants don't go out and buy the real thing thinking it was just a missed detail. Nice touches and not over the top. Just enough. Well done!
I have always stayed home for Christmas even growing up with my parents, but now that I have Two little boys, I would love to travel as a family and experience Christmas with different cultures, as we are in the Caribbean.

We have that star on the tree on our front porch 🌟 I put 2 small wooden craft dowels behind it (in the cap) & down the backside of tree and and zip tied it on…kid & wind proof 😊

Its Texas limestone. Its quarried here. I have it on the exterior of house along with brick in areas. We also have it on the fireplace. Even though our home is 22 years old, I still love it! Your fire place is beautiful!!

To add candles to any place safely, you can always use battery operated tapers, tealights, or chunky candles. That is what I am using exclusively in my home now due to my dogs and grandkids. And also my clumsiness. The Stone House looks so inviting and I'm sure the people will be very comfortable for their holiday.
Answer - Once my daughter was born we let it be known that we would always host Christmas and would not travel. After all, how would Santa know where to find us and where to leave the presents? It always made Christmas very exciting and cozy to be in our own beds, pretending to sleep, but listening out for Santa. ~ Linda
