    Great review Mike 🤯🥳👍. As a long term Snowman user, using both the RGB version and regular version, i can say I’m very impressed with the level of cooling performance of these coolers on my Ryzen 7 3700 and Ryzen 5 3600 with temps seen rivalling some higher end coolers on the market. The Snowman is great value and handles higher core CPUs very well. Definitely worth the wait from AliExpress. I’ve had my Snowman coolers for over 2 years and still going strong!

    The quest continues for the perfect cooler lol. For the £20 this cost from AliExpress I think, as you say, its an absolute bargain and for a budget build theres this and the Ventoo. Shame it arrived like an alien chestbuster was trying to escape from the bottom, Id gladly pay another quid for better packaging but thats not likely to happen.

    I had the dual fans version of it on my 3700x and it was great. The box was looking like yours, but the tower was undamaged. Both fans shared the same connectoer which is good for wire managament but sad if one fan break as you have to either replace both or cut the broken fan out of the plug and use a splitter.
    From what I saw, it could probably handle the 3900x, but it would be pushed to hard with a 3950x. For that one, the d15 makes miracles. I noticed that the snoman was not about how low it can manage the temp, but rather how much heat it can take. I saw little difference between my 1600 and 3700x on max temp with long load. Both never goes it the 80c. The case was not the best for airflow thou, so that may explain it, but it was not severe enough to make me change the case at the time as the cooler was doing it's job.
    Just too bad the shipping is long and uncertain!

    • @mikesunboxing
      @mikesunboxing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah this range of coolers is wide and mostly all very good options although some of the 92mm ones are a bit crap, but the mt6 and mt4 are really the stars of the show I still must try one on the 3900 against the n12 and the d15 just to see how close they are

I still think lots of heat pipes are the way to go even in passive cooling. A dual-stack might work better more mass. I might have to use one fan for a day when the wind does not blow.

    I run the MT4 on a R5 3600 and it tops out around 72c running cinebench test, with my fan curve set, idles around 35-45c, altho when i fitted it it was with some 4 year old Arctic Silver 5 paste, i might redo it with some MX4 to see if it improves any.

    Hi there, Mike! Cheers from Brazil. Next month I'm going for an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 to complete my new gig and I wonder if the cooler that comes with it will be enough for cooling. Hardware's prices here go up and down with the dollar exchange so, right now, stuff is a little expensive but I managed to fulfill a dream of mine. My new gig is:
    Gigabyte B450M DS3H V2
    16GB DDR4-3200 (I think I'll need the BIOS update to make it work at 3200)
    NOX Infinity ATOM case with an RGB fan
    Gamer Monitor ASUS VP247 at 75Hz
    and a 1660 GTX.
    The question is... the cooler that comes with the processor will be enough for cooling for gaming? Goal: Maximum settings on anything I want to play... at FHD.
    Didn't find the Cooler Snowman MT-6 here on reliable sellers. So, I'm checking other options.
    Thanks in advance!

    • @mikesunboxing
      @mikesunboxing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the stock cooler gets the job done and in a well ventilated case often will be totally fine. IF you are in a warmer country and it seems you are, the ambient temps are going to be higher and that makes it harder to get cooler air into the case, and therefore it will push the temps up.
      I would look out for a MT4 or MT6 as soon as you can or maybe a gammaxx 400
