Another video proving there is NO better bass fishing teacher in the TH-cam world. Again, whether you’re a seasoned 50 year fishing veteran or just getting started there is always something to learn from Randy. Been fishing a floating worm since the early nineties and is a staple in our spring arsenal. Pulled several key points from this video that will no doubt equate to more fish and provide an opportunity to teach my son some new tweaks to our already successful floating worm fishing techniques. The haters are listening and learning too … They just would never admit it!! Thanks, Randy … Keep the real bass fishing talk coming!!
You will not be dissappointed following Randy's channels. I live in Sohth Africa and since i have been followimg hom i have become WAY better as a bass angler.
This was the best floating worm "lesson" you or anyone else on YT has done. Thanks so much. Hoping to work that rig this month along with the fluke rig. Thanks Randy-
If you tie the leader to the swivel with a Palomar, first, you can then tie the main line to the swivel with a Palomar as well... Then the hook with a Palomar.... Just fyi... 😊
Yes this is a good idea! Love it when they’re on a trick worm bite. Had trouble last time I was catchin em with size. They were all small. Think there was one called a air lizard too btw
I love the floating worm and you are right on about colors and letting the fish tell you - there will be a clear preference. I just started using your rigging (used to always use a round bend offset work hook) and I’m sold on it. Caught my biggest bass so far this year on a merthiolate trick worm last week with that 1/0 g-finesse hook 🙌🏼
Resume trick worm with a motor oil with chartreuse tip gets them under almost every situation. Not as many as the go to color for the condition, but it a good anytime go to especially if conditions are fluctuating.
Thanks for sharing Randy, I highly enjoy these seminars. I prefer our old school methods! I'm Glad that somewhere out there in TH-cam land someone still thinks and shares like you do.
I’m going fishing tomorrow so I’ll try your crooked worm, been having good luck on it rigged straight. Enjoyed the video and thanks for the tips. I’ll be making a tackle order soon so I’ll use your tackle wear house link.
In South Florida, our water rarely gets below 70 and only from Dec-early Feb. Our water temps are already in the low 80s by the end of April early May. So for Florida, when are the best times to fish a floating worm?
Randy I remember back in the day before livescope Davey Hite used to tear them up on this technique. He did use a bait caster though.I guess it's personal preference.I like the spinning reel though.Hey Randy I love the channel and I try to watch all of the shows.
Wow Randy this is a really great fishing tactic you’ve revealed. Totally enjoyed this video, good job. I see those speed traps on your wall there, how bout selling me a 3 pack signed? Or a hat signed? Btw, what’s the backstory on the American flag that’s folded properly on display? Well thanks for all the tips on rigging this floating worm!
i’ve seen demonstration videos on youtube these jar test type experiments the white actually shows up better in water than the chartreuse chartreuse actually kind of blends in with dirty water much more than white
@@andrewgreig8491 both. I always weighed em with a jig. Whether it floats or not didn't matter. They hit it. Even steelhead Besides, a lot of floating worms don't float well. They usually sink very slow
Neko and wacky rig work really good when fish wont bite this method. I do not balanced the worm when I fish a trick worm as a wacky or Neko rig. Also good for the drop shot and free rig....
Randy I don't know how I missed this video but I'm at work sleepy scrolling through TH-cam. Great video💯💯💯💯💯💯💯👍🏾

You know randy loves fishing because literally every single technique he goes into is the most fun way to get a bite
Randy you think people aren't listening to these tips....but we are. Killer video
Just found you about a week ago. In such short time, I've already learned so much. I really appreciate your hard work, Randy. Thanks.
Thx man

Looking forward for this bite to turn on in PA... They are looking at it but still a little early here.

Outstanding info as always Randy. I can't wait to try it! Mic

That story at the end mannnnnn😲🤦🏾♂️😅

He's got those dad, grampa, ol pro instruction energy. Literally reminds me of both my dad and grandpa when I was a kid.
Okla, very stained water. I like your colors. However. I find a black works well 😮
What’s up Randy!! Extremely useful knowledge you are passing along!!
Never tried this technique. Thanks for what you do
Another great Seminar 😅

Yellow?
Would I be color blind or is that Green?
Let me grab my glasses.....
well randy himself is to some degree colorblind
I’d call it lime green or chartreuse. Definitely not yellow.
But that yellow is a killer color, along with limetreuse
Im going to run old purple in my river first then if no bites, I'll try a smaller 4" pbandj..
Can you use a sensei worm from Yamato instead of trick work? They look similar
Bass see chartreuse and white the same!
i’ve seen demonstration videos on youtube these jar test type experiments the white actually shows up better in water than the chartreuse chartreuse actually kind of blends in with dirty water much more than white
Bubble gum worm is a coho salmon slayer in the river. Absolutely drives them nuts. Caught many fish on that
You've caught coho on a pink floating worn, or just the more traditional worn fishing like we do for steelhead?
@@andrewgreig8491 both. I always weighed em with a jig. Whether it floats or not didn't matter. They hit it. Even steelhead

Randy shhhhhhhhh

But bass can't see chartreuse, it is white to them!
@16:08 Incorrect amigo.
Both swivel knots can be Palomar: _Tie the leader on first._
-
BTW, _Off-color_ water --> Any water that is _NOT gin clear?_
I don't know whether to go fishing or earn 5 percent with robinhood.
methiolate?
Spelled merthiolate I think - zoom color
I use a lighter medium action spinning reels so that I can actually set the hook
Logically speaking couldn't you Texas rig it with a crook?
That's what I'm going to do, but with the 1/0 straight shank hank!
