yeah, rushing it is a waste
Speaking from experience, rushing actively harms your comprehension of the story. I binged the series back when I first rediscovered it after the cancellation of the 4Kids dub. I went back and rewatched it later and realized I missed a lot because i eas watching at least 10 episodes a day after getting home from work, and wasn't giving myself enough time to wrap my head around what I was seeing and forgot/missed a lot of stuff that was setting up future events.
I do recommend they skip fillers tho most of them are a waste of time

The thing in watching Sub is, you wont miss easter eggs and some hidden clues in the show because to completely enjoy the show you have to slowly enjoy it and focus as well..
That's cool and all, I prefer they not have to pause and play back when they miss. a subtitle.
Plus I don't think any Easter eggs missed in the dub

If the Straw Hats were a family, then Luffy would be the younger brother who is also the golden boy of the family, Zoro is the big brother you call when you get bullied at school and he be the one locking his room door, Sanji is the playboy big brother you respect, but side eye whenever he's willing to do anything for a shawty and while he's handsome he be messing up his chances with shawties left and right, Usopp is the scaredy cat younger brother that talks back to you when you walk out the room, but starts apologizing profusely when you heard what he said, Nami is the big sister that shoulder's the burden of the mother when the mother isn't around, Robin is the big sister you wish you wasn't related to and you hate her boyfriend, Brook is the uncle that be traveling abroad and coming back home looking different each time and the one that brings back cool souvenirs for everyone, Franky strikes me as the uncle that be trying to recruit you into his mechanic business, as well as the uncle that be the drunkest in a party, Chopper is the baby brother of the family and the child that gets special treatment and Jimbei is the uncle Iroh of the family, the wise uncle that always gives you wisdom every time you mess up.

Yeah taking your time like I said a while back makes this ride truly the best it can be. I just passed episode 1,000 a week back and I couldnt be happier with it. Every episode of the current arc has been a visual feast on top of being top5 arcs of the series.

It's common for people's favourite character to be Luffy, hell he is mine.
Keeping up with Devil Fruits can only be done the same way people play modern Pokemon games, and I'm not talking about type advantage, I'm talking stats, move combos, ALL OF IT!!!
It's easier to know there are 3 types:
Paramecia- Gives weird powers, most common fruit.
Zoan- Allows you to turn into an animal, doesn't have to be a still living or even a real animal.
Logia- You become an elemental force of some sort. Rarest ones, but also the hardest to master.
After you know that, just know it depends on the user.

The akatsuki theme needs to be heard in context, it's not really a classic piano song and its not meant to vibe to. Its more like gothic monks chanting and is meant to fill you with with pure dread. Cuz when you hear that song you know some drippy emo ninja dude is about to do something drastic
You don't have to keep up with all the devil fruits and the people who use them because every time they come on screen after a long absence it will be reiterated plus there is the fandom Wiki where you can look up anything related to one piece and the opening part of each description is non-spoiler Ish and then goes into great detail if you read further. I'm a one-piece veteran of over 20 years just so you know😁

I wouldn't call Zoro races, I would call the author races for putting all the minorities against one of the two most Savage members of crew.

Strawhat is the brand of crew and is seen as captain's hat
Also it's a well tought move since Luffy gives the hat to someone who at least shares his dream to higher extent.
Zoro is with him as he's loyal . If Luffy dies Zoro will start pursuing his dream on his own not trying to stick around at seas.
Nami's dream is to map all the seas so leaving his hat with her Has also a deeper meaning as he knows once he dies his hat still will sail the seas

Oda is a genuine master at his craft and a genius besides the fact that this series is aimed at the Japanese audience first and foremost. I believe I know who started that rumor because I watched the video but I won't name them however he uses that word all the time and I think it's disgusting to actually say something like that but you use that word about yourself and other things normalizing it
SUB ROCKS!!! DUB SUCKS! English speaking actors cannot even hope to convey the level of the depth of emotion that is in one piece. Plus the Japanese voice actors are way funnier, their voices literally match what you see on screen with regard to facial expressions and various actions. There's a lot more to it but I'll let y'all see as time goes on. Sit back relax and enjoy the ride...... pretend you are Luffy and just enjoy the adventure
