Baylan Skoll is very quickly becoming one of my favorite characters in all of Star Wars. It’s genuinely impossible for me to get a read on him. He is bringing Thrawn back which he knows will start a war, but he’s not a true believer in the Empire and he looks like he doesn’t really care about the war either way. Even his fighting style is incredibly different from other Jedi, his stance more closely resembles that of English knights while Ahsoka’s is more akin to samurai. As for the ENDING! As soon as I saw the unusual waves emitting from around Ahsoka I said “no….no, no, no, no, no” and then the camera panned up showing The World Between Worlds and I was silent, until I heard “Hello, Snips” and I teared up at the sight of Anakin just like you guys. God I just wish Ray Stevenson lived to see how his performance looked on screen. Rest In Peace Ray you will never be forgotten.
So sad to get confirmation that Ursa, Alrich, and Tristan died in The Purge. There is no one Sabine has loved more than Ezra and knowing now just how much she's lost it makes even more sense why she is so desperate to get him back. I fully empathize with her because I lost several family members abruptly when I was a teenager, that kind of pain never really heals.
Ezra himself would be VERY disappointed in Sabine. He literally told her in the hologram, "sometimes you have to make the decision no one else can." She is actively making sure Ezra's sacrifice is in vain. She has heavily regressed as a character.

Making the choice that intervenes with her own interests is something Sabine's definitely going to learn how to do, perhaps by the end of this season. I am sorry to learn of your experience with loss. I was thinking yesterday about the friends and loved ones that I lost and agree with you. However, it kind of floored me when Sabine gave into Baylon . She looked totally defeated in that moment…Been there too, though. Best episode thus far 12/10.

I laughed like crazy when Marrok's body became green dusk because of the crazy theories people had after last week episode. I got so excited when I watched Anakin in his Episode III suit, he looked so amazing and the CGI was better than in Obi-Wan Kenobi, which I'm grateful for. Now something I really loved was the context Baylan gave us about what happened with Sabine's family and why she was bitter towards Ahsoka. I hope we can see more because I got the feeling that we will have a Christmas Tales kind of story next episode.

I really liked how Baylan called out Ahsoka for her aggressive tendencies of late. She cut through everyone in that town to get to Morgan Elsbeth. She used the Force to drag a guy into blaster fire, and to throw Shin head first into a pillar. She pulled her saber first in the fight against Baylan. She used questionable interrogation methods on Elsbeth. She's been drifting away from the Light Side without acknowledging it. Baylan may be ruthless, but he knows who he is.

I absolutely loved the exchange between Baylan and Sabine. Like, Sabine is probably at the lowest we've ever seen her since everyone she cares for is either dead or gone (not totally true, but she's feeling the angst) and Baylan was able to completely capitalize off that desperation and weakness in a masterstroke of manipulation. Like, hats off to Natasha in that scene because we see the internal struggle that Sabine goes through and when she finally gives in we see the panic of her knowing that she shouldn't have done what she did. This episode definitely confirmed some theories I had about things but then threw me for a complete loop with everything else. Like, I have no frikin idea what to predict for the rest of the season beyond Thrawn and probably Ezra.
I love the relationship between Huyang and Ahsoka, it has been great the entire show. Sabine makes a joke about Huyang fucking up. Ahsoka WITHOUT HESITATION knows something happened to him and goes charging out there The way she ignited the sabers was bad ass too

I joined the wait list to see if I can watch Episode 5 this Tuesday in a movie theater. Even if I got an invite I might not go because I recently just got passes for a screening to Dumb Money that same night.
Best Episode since Twilight of the Apprentice! So Good and Loved the Sabine Twist even though I Didn't Want Her to Tourn Over the Map Willingly. I Think Sabine and Ahsoka had an Agreement to Track Each Other in case one of them had to go on the Journey to Ge Ezra Solo.

I’m not sure it’s Anakin. In Return of the Jedi Anakin’s force ghost was fully healed in Jedi robes. Here we have him with no scar on his face but he does have his cybernetic hand. Dave pays attention to that kind of thing and the Vader notes at the end show something is up. Something in there is messing with her I believe.
Yay Wendy! Gather up your energy for the rest of the season! Someone else commented Baylan was using the same stance/attack/style as Qui- Gon, strong, 2 handed, powerful. Both were defensive at first, so Ahsoka attacked first.

Wendy I'm glad you are better and I have to tell you I was tearing up again watching and hearing you have the exact same reaction that I did. I'm also really wondering if the loss of Sabine's whole family is what made her miss Ezra just that much more.
I suspect Marrok was a dead Inquisitor that Morgan reanimated with Nightsister magic. My theory of where this goes. As a writer, there’s a reason they hammered home how dangerous and risky this jump is with technology. Next episode or the following, they’re possibly going to make the jump along with the purrgil, like Ezra did with Thrawn. The classic heroic leap of faith, ala Luke not using the targeting computer.
I tried to find a link to the 9 sections of the Star Map coordinates and the 9 chevrons used in Stargate. I feel there may be a connection there for inter-stellar travel. Great reaction, Glad Wendy is feeling better!!!

I like how Balyan dispenses with the silly spinny shit from the prequel lightsaber fights and instead has an extremely efficient economy of movement. He barely dodges and does no acrobatics and just overwhelms Ahsoka with pure brutal force.
Yeah you wanna know what's extra cool about it? He uses Qui-Gons stance which means he uses the aggressive saber form IV Ataru, it's form is made for overpowering your oponents with brute strength. It's cool to see them connect these things.

Honestly don't get the dialogue pacing complaints. I never even noticed... I guess it's because the deliberate nature is so Samurai film and Sergio Leone esque... definitely would not change it. Infact, I wish more contemporary filmmakers would understand the value of letting things land and sit. There's too much ADD filmmaking out there.
Ray rules this episode! Some of this is borrowed from listening to so much on this, to Dooku’s point on Jedi lightsaber proficiency, I think there came a period where they did not need to be highly skilled because they were not encountering powerful enemies. Long stretches of peace. After the time of warring with the sith, etc. being one with the force and inner peace was probably more a focus. Sith, like mandalorians, valued defense and strength, so jedi like Dooku and Anakin were exceptions.
First off(Glad you are feeling better Wendy)!! @themoviecouple did you notice it felt like Ahsoka used some of the dark side(when she force choked Shin and when she used the force to put that robot soldier in front of that other one to save Sabine. Aren't Jedi or people who are on the light side don't try and hurt/kill someone. I just thought that was very interesting
I've seen a few reactions where viewers questioned why Jaycen is with Hera on the Ghost. I'm not sure why this is in question. He's Spectre 7...an actual part of the Ghost crew. Again, this is science fiction/fantasy....not logical. Sabine is also getting on my last nerve but that's a rant for another day. Just know that I'm with Huwang... "She is not an acceptable candidate" LOL Other than this, great episode and reaction. Let the storytellers cook!

Just purely fun speculation here, but I wonder if Anakin somehow found out about the World Between Worlds much sooner sometime during the Clone Wars (e.g. during the Mortis arc) obviously much sooner than when Ezra and Ahsoka did and that younger Anakin pulled an older Ahsoka out of danger the way Ezra did. I think that would be crazy gutsy to do as a storyline and may confuse the heck out of some viewers. But then again, I'm sure some viewers who have not seen Rebels yet were already so confused by that ending. So, why not just go for it?? LOL! Maybe I'm wrong about this, but I do not recall Anakin ever using that nickname of "Snips" for Ahsoka ever since her 1st appearance in the Clone Wars series. So, I do not know if the nickname "Snips" was used for our sake so we would know beforehand that it was Anakin before we even visually saw him or if him using that nickname was meant to be some sort of hidden clue for us to try and pinpoint a timeline. When Sabine first said, "Hera", after she heard there were Republic crafts obstructing their paths, I'm thinking Sabine must've suddenly felt horrible finally realizing, "Oh no, what have I done??", once realizing her own seflishness may have caused Hera and Ahsoka's death. I do wish Hera had more to do on this show. But I wonder if Hera may get demoted or at least badly reprimanded for what happened since it seems some pilots may have gotten killed all because of Hera's disobeying protocol. I hope to see everybody reunited on The Ghost and acting as a big team again. I'm actually surprised that has not happened yet.
Morgan's Night Sister Magic may be a big problem going forward. If she can raise Fallen Jedi to fight for here then Ahsoka is going to need more than Sabine.
Pretty sure it's way more involved and complicated than just re-animating her former Nightsister corpse gals as Romero zombies. I doubt she's going to get an army that way.

This is my second favorite series of all of them, (my first is Andor), and the streaming numbers are not what I would think they would be according to what some others are reporting. This is a great story being told and needs to be seen.

I’m happy to see you’re feeling better, Wendy!!! This is the best Ahsoka episode so far. That final scene was emotional. So good to hear the line “Hello Snips” from Hayden Christensen’s voice. I joined the wait list to see if I can watch Episode 5 this Tuesday in a movie theater. Even if I got an invite I might not go because I recently just got passes for a screening to Dumb Money that same night.
Best Episode since Twilight of the Apprentice! So Good and Loved the Sabine Twist even though I Didn't Want Her to Tourn Over the Map Willingly. I Think Sabine and Ahsoka had an Agreement to Track Each Other in case one of them had to go on the Journey to Ge Ezra Solo.

I’m not sure it’s Anakin. In Return of the Jedi Anakin’s force ghost was fully healed in Jedi robes. Here we have him with no scar on his face but he does have his cybernetic hand. Dave pays attention to that kind of thing and the Vader notes at the end show something is up. Something in there is messing with her I believe.

I suspect Marrok was a dead Inquisitor that Morgan reanimated with Nightsister magic. My theory of where this goes. As a writer, there’s a reason they hammered home how dangerous and risky this jump is with technology. Next episode or the following, they’re possibly going to make the jump along with the purrgil, like Ezra did with Thrawn. The classic heroic leap of faith, ala Luke not using the targeting computer.
I tried to find a link to the 9 sections of the Star Map coordinates and the 9 chevrons used in Stargate. I feel there may be a connection there for inter-stellar travel. Great reaction, Glad Wendy is feeling better!!!

I like how Balyan dispenses with the silly spinny shit from the prequel lightsaber fights and instead has an extremely efficient economy of movement. He barely dodges and does no acrobatics and just overwhelms Ahsoka with pure brutal force.
Yeah you wanna know what's extra cool about it? He uses Qui-Gons stance which means he uses the aggressive saber form IV Ataru, it's form is made for overpowering your oponents with brute strength. It's cool to see them connect these things.

Honestly don't get the dialogue pacing complaints. I never even noticed... I guess it's because the deliberate nature is so Samurai film and Sergio Leone esque... definitely would not change it. Infact, I wish more contemporary filmmakers would understand the value of letting things land and sit. There's too much ADD filmmaking out there.

Ray rules this episode! Some of this is borrowed from listening to so much on this, to Dooku’s point on Jedi lightsaber proficiency, I think there came a period where they did not need to be highly skilled because they were not encountering powerful enemies. Long stretches of peace. After the time of warring with the sith, etc. being one with the force and inner peace was probably more a focus. Sith, like mandalorians, valued defense and strength, so jedi like Dooku and Anakin were exceptions.
First off(Glad you are feeling better Wendy)!! @themoviecouple did you notice it felt like Ahsoka used some of the dark side(when she force choked Shin and when she used the force to put that robot soldier in front of that other one to save Sabine. Aren't Jedi or people who are on the light side don't try and hurt/kill someone. I just thought that was very interesting

I've seen a few reactions where viewers questioned why Jaycen is with Hera on the Ghost. I'm not sure why this is in question. He's Spectre 7...an actual part of the Ghost crew. Again, this is science fiction/fantasy....not logical. Sabine is also getting on my last nerve but that's a rant for another day. Just know that I'm with Huwang... "She is not an acceptable candidate" LOL Other than this, great episode and reaction. Let the storytellers cook!

Just purely fun speculation here, but I wonder if Anakin somehow found out about the World Between Worlds much sooner sometime during the Clone Wars (e.g. during the Mortis arc) obviously much sooner than when Ezra and Ahsoka did and that younger Anakin pulled an older Ahsoka out of danger the way Ezra did. I think that would be crazy gutsy to do as a storyline and may confuse the heck out of some viewers. But then again, I'm sure some viewers who have not seen Rebels yet were already so confused by that ending. So, why not just go for it?? LOL! Maybe I'm wrong about this, but I do not recall Anakin ever using that nickname of "Snips" for Ahsoka ever since her 1st appearance in the Clone Wars series. So, I do not know if the nickname "Snips" was used for our sake so we would know beforehand that it was Anakin before we even visually saw him or if him using that nickname was meant to be some sort of hidden clue for us to try and pinpoint a timeline. When Sabine first said, "Hera", after she heard there were Republic crafts obstructing their paths, I'm thinking Sabine must've suddenly felt horrible finally realizing, "Oh no, what have I done??", once realizing her own seflishness may have caused Hera and Ahsoka's death. I do wish Hera had more to do on this show. But I wonder if Hera may get demoted or at least badly reprimanded for what happened since it seems some pilots may have gotten killed all because of Hera's disobeying protocol. I hope to see everybody reunited on The Ghost and acting as a big team again. I'm actually surprised that has not happened yet.

Pretty sure it's way more involved and complicated than just re-animating her former Nightsister corpse gals as Romero zombies.

Great reaction and glad you are feeling better Wendy. What I really don't understand is why there is a lack of views for this series. This is my second favorite series of all of them, (my first is Andor), and the streaming numbers are not what I would think they would be according to what some others are reporting. This is a great story being told and needs to be seen.
