You are fabulous. I love your podcasts and I always look up the WIPs you're working on on Ravelry to see if I want to make them too. I cannot wait to visit your shop summer of 2025 with my girlfriend from Finland.
Omigosh Lori!! Zoom zoom zoom-a zoom... Boston Mass 02134 🎶 That's all i remember but i loved that show!!! That and The Electric Company were my favorites as a kid!! Happy New Year you guys!
So many projects to look forward to for 2024. Can I just say that I agree with the others who have commented-Justine-your Bowie blanket is too good!! ❤
I didn’t know I was addicted to knitting bags til I saw this podcast 😂. My first was like the binkwaffle bag so I made a pattern and made more. Plus all the others I’ve collected. Enjoy you girls visiting.
We traveled home from seeing our kids, grandkids and great-grandkids for Christmas on Boxing Day -a 10 hour drive from Washington to California - we left at 3:45am. I knit most of that time.
Hey girls! Thanks for the very informative podcast! We had our picture taken at Rhinebeck by my sister in front of a food truck😊. Anyhoo keep these podcasts coming….wish so much I lived closer to your shop because I just love all your yarn choices and colors. Happy and healthy New Year ❤
Wonderful to see both of your beautiful faces again! I plan to make smaller accessories and get through my wips this year. I got on the hot water bottle band wagon and I’m obsessed!!! Just saved a few hot water bottle patterns saved and will probably make one soon. If you get snow I’m going to be so jealous!
Happy New Year Lori and Justine! Truly enjoy all your podcasts...and especially Justine vlogmas with your beautiful children! Harrison , Ben and Charlotte are just so sweet....and i love Harrison saying " What's next Mom?" So happy to see Harrison sharing his Knitting...priceless! Happy Knitting! ❤
Hello to my favorite RI yarn store! I am just catching up on your last few podcasts. Did you know that Lindsey English of the Fiber Seed makes an 8 days of Hannukah box? Beautiful colors! Hope to see you the next time I am Warwick!
Please come see us! I did not know about that Hanukkah box. I will subscribe to her newsletter! Thanks so much for the suggestion and for watching us! 🥰🥰🥰
Lori - ZOOM! Did you have a wild crush on Jay too or was it just me? 😂 You both are so informative and entertaining. I look forward to each video you post. Keep up the amazing work! ❤
I sure do! I sent a self addressed stamped envelope to get a ZOOM card. My stars aligned and I got a Jay card with instructions on how to speak Ubi Dubi on the back. Wish I still had it! Hubi frubiends is the only thing I remember!😂
Love watching you two, I feel like I am sitting with my knitting friends 😊 I just wore through the elbows on my long “wear everyday” cardigan , it’s the Girlfriends Cardigan by ANKESTRICK . I bought some leather patches to sew on, must do this lol I miss it. Lol similar story to Lori and hubby’s hat. I had made hubby a Lopi sweater in the 90’s, he wore it twice. Every year afterwards (30 plus years)I asked him if he wanted a sweater and the answer was always no thanks. This year I gave up asking and you guessed it….he comes home from working outside one day and says he was cold and figured a wool sweater would have kept him warm 🤦 so yarn is on the way for him 😊 He better wear the darn thing!!😜 Have a great week ladies! 💓🇨🇦
Thank you so much for watching! I’m going to look up the Girlfriends Cardigan. What sweater are you going to make for your hubs? Hopefully, Kevin’s hat will be done by the next podcast. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Justine- should be patterns on Ravelry where you can make just the top piece- some fingerless mitts have a finger cover that pops on and off - it’s connected!
Wonderful episode ladies! Ontheround is the first hand dyed yarn I ever bought, I love everything Rachel does! Kiesha and I will be at VKL on Saturday! Can’t wait to see you!
I love the Mosaic blanke -- I need to make it for my new grandbaby - or should I say my first grandbaby !!! I can't believe it! I am knitting all the things!! How many skeins are you using for each color for a baby size?
I hate mittens too. I can really recommend the point Edwards mitts. They are great and the finger ribbing and thumb ribbing can be pulled up over your fingers to keep your fingers warm.
Again ladies, a good one! Thanks! I’ve crocheted blankets and now I’m inspired me to knit a blanket! Justine, thanks for mentioning LEO! Watched it tonight with family and it was hilarious! 😅
Yes, I’ll be going to Vogue Knitting and hope to see you there! I’m planning on knitting His Sweater by Churchmouse Yarns. Thank you for a great podcast!
I love you both and this podcast and I love your 'never not knitting' podcast. So warm, natural and a darling, darling family. Just such a homey feeling watching your episodes. LOVE it. Lori not thinking about school, she is thinking of a grand baby to happen soon. LOL. I would be. No traveling for holidays here. Christmas was so nice. New Years Eve was bed at 9, Waking up to fireworks and comforting the dog. singing, petting her.. for 45 minutes. then back to sleep. Now starting and planning new projects for 2024. :) Starting late watching so will finish the podcast up tomorrow. Something to looks forward to FOR SURE. love, hugs, prayers to you both.
Oh Lori, I made a green weekender out of Harrisville Highland too. I remember struggling with that cast on and ended up doing the alternating cable cast on instead. Raisins and peanuts🤢 I thought I was the only one!
Try to make an illusion blanket by Steve Plummer. Fun to knit. I’ve made several. Great car seat size I’m told. I hate making plane blankets and scarfs. But these blankets are so fun
Love your knits! I made the Pink Velvet, and tried the tubular bind off for the sleeves 3 times and not sure if it was the small circumference or what but I gave up and bound off another way. So I’m with Justine, bind off how you want, it shouldn’t be stressful!
I am sooooo excited for this!!! I haven’t even watched yet and I know it will be so good! I’m saving it for when my kids go to bed. Happy New Year ladies!
Happy New Year! 🎉 Loveeee both of your blankets! I’ve recently started the Tweed Baby Blanket by Jared Flood for my first grandbaby. So exciting to have little ones to knit for! Love the Inclinations Cowl - I’ve had yarn for that for a while 🤔
@@TheSkeinScoopPodcast I was recently a guest on a dear friend’s podcast - pjknits - where I show it and talk about Hap patterns. Highly recommend her podcast!
Love the Bowie blanket, it’s really cool. It don’t have any specific cast on plan, first I want to finish all my 2023 wips and then I’d like to give color work a try, maybe on a hot water bottle. What I’m going to do this Oktober is coming to the states and finally see your yarn shop. The plan is to go to New York , go to rhinebeck and then up to Boston to meet my zoom knitting group in person. Am really lookigforward to all of that. Happy new year, take care and stay safe.
Ha ha….I am so there with you…I own a shop and people assume I have all the time in the world to knit. Like just go to work and knit, the shop will apparently run itself😂😂
Do you have any Atenti Hope Basket bags in pink plush? I love the one Justine showed on her Vlogmas. P.S. I found Justine’s Vlogmas after Christmas and binge-watched all of the episodes over three consecutive evenings. It was so good! I have never seen more charming, beautiful children.
Thank you very much for watching our podcast and Justine’s Vlogmas! Her kids are super adorable. I can get the Atenti Hope Basket in the pink plush (Himalaya) if you would like it. We also just got 2 of the Himalaya in the Divina style. You can search it on our website www.skeinyarnshop.com ❤
is there a chart on converting grams to yards. Are your advent blankets that your both doing, are they dk or fingering? I went crazy and bought so much dk yarn and I want to do a blank now with all of it, just random pick a new color and go. It is all pretty much pinks.
Hi Dolores! I found this calculator: calculator.academy/grams-to-yards-yarn-calculator/ The blankets we’re doing are DK weight. We are holding fingering weight double. Thank you so much for watching! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi, Will it be too much trouble to list the pattern or the yarn you mention on the screen. It helps us to remember the yarn we want buy or the pattern you are using.
Hi Carmen! Thank you so much for watching! I want to make ALL of the things for my new grandson, but we’ll see what actually happens. 😂🤦🏻♀️🧶 At the rate I’m going, I’ll be lucky to finish the blanket I’m making and one cardigan. Justine puts all of the patterns that we talk about in the show notes, but I will see if she can put them on the screen along with the yarn.
Sooooo funny-Justine’s grandmother traumatized her when she was younger by bringing her to one of those butterfly parks and a ton of butterflies landed on her at the same time and Justine lost her mind. 😫😫😫 Her grandmother just laughed and laughed. 🤣🤣🤣 #ptsd
There is nothing better than than being a grandmother, it’s magical you will agree😊😊

Love the podcast. Working on Mischeel sweater for husband by Isabelle kraemer. Lots of texture. Fun knit and goes fast.
