Love your podcast & wish I was local to your shop! I sat here in awful back and hip pain while watching, so totally feeling your pain. Love your hair, Justine - I had mine colored nearly the same shade this week. My mom always said, when you’re a blondie as a little girl, you get to be blond your whole life! 😂😍
Justine, Amazon has memory foam speed bump things that just fit under the fitted sheet. They are great because they travel! I have them on my sons bed (age 4) who is a wild sleeper and he hasn’t fallen out of the bed at all with them 😁
You are the best! I love your podcast, your friendship and your lovely knits. Justine, my dear mother had Alzheimer’s and it was definitely a difficult journey. Thank you for sharing this important cause and for raising money for research and new breakthroughs.
Fun episode! Justine, if you have a crib mattress, you can slide it under Charlotte’s big girl bed during the day and pull it out when she goes to bed at night. At least if she falls out the bed, she won’t get hurt. Love the blondie locks! Beautiful projects you guys are working on and Lori, that blanket for the grandbaby is amazing!
I also love watching you two and wish I lived closer. I enjoyed your pet peeve section!! So funny. Justine, I like your hair and sweater, I send prayers for your dad, and 40 is wonderful!! Lori, being a grandma is an unbelievable gift!! Can't wait to see your finished blanket!
I laughed and laughed at the 'minaturizes them', I had to watch it 4 times. You 2 are so much fun. Love the pet peeves section. I'm sure we can all relate to that. I love the blankets, so pretty. I'm so sorry about your Dad and Alzheimers. that is wonderful about your bike ride and raising money for it. Whole video so enjoyable and now I get sad, waiting, waiting for the next one. Sending love, hugs, prayers
I think a cute, useful baby knit (esp for teacher) is Very Hungry Caterpillar sleeping sack w/hat. Easy has patterns (one just sack, other with safety neck-so baby can't slip all the way into sack). You can gift the board book w/it! The yarn Lori is using on KAL (last 2, green & blue) would look fantastic! Oh, & why we watch (even just smelling hair, pet peeves) is bc it's like being w/friends at knit night!
Justine, my husband who is 20 years older than me has dementia. It is the saddest thing to witness one you love so much deteriorate to the point that he doesn’t know where he is and who I am. God bless you and Lori. Your podcasts are something I look forward to each month. You are both beautiful people ❤️
Angela-thank you so much for your kind words. I can’t express how sorry I am that your husband has dementia. ❤️ Know that we are thinking of you both. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Love the bag from Steven in Texas. is it 4 sale? First time I'm watching your podcast. I am enjoying you both so much! CLEANING WITH BARKEEPERS FRIEND ETC 😂. Hope and Keisha recommended your podcast.I am so glad. Justine smells Lori's lips😂. Anyway, I'm thankful for you both.
Hey it’s Louise frm Portland OR!! Justine I feel for you, my Mom has Alzheimer’s and I appreciate your cause and will continue to donate to it. Hi Lori so excited for your upcoming grand child!!! Take care girls!! Keep on Pod casting. We’re watching!!!!!
Justine, you need to do what cross stitchers do to work down wips… pick one project close to done and do 25 mins on it each day. If you aren’t feeling it and need to knit something else after, then do that. But this mini goal soon leads to a finish. (And the time can be set by you but 25/7 is common)
This episode hits close to home. My dad has Alzheimer’s Dementia. Last year, we had to place him in a full time care facility. He spent a couple of years with me and he spent a few years living independently before it declined to this stage. He was also a very eloquent person and I can tell it’s been hard for him to not be able to get his words out and frustrating for him when he gets confused. He doesn’t remember us very well anymore. He introduces every female as his girlfriend and every male as his friend now. It’s an interesting (and difficult) perspective to see his cognitive decline as his daughter…one benefit to the increased decline is that he does seem to be gaining peace as he loses his ability to recognize his own decline.
45:20 I’ve thrown my back out from a sneeze before! Dear lord it was so awful. My wife had to dress me so she could take me to the hospital. Sigh…. I’ve always thought it would be fund to do a KAL based on yarn, a yarn is picked out, any weight or colorway is allowed, and we see all the creative things folks can make from the same yarn. So yes I vote let’s do a KAL!
I got my grand daughters the book. They love it bc easy read… thank you ❤
Love watching so much! I wish every time I watch you that i lived closer!
Aww, us, too! Where do you live? ❤

Thank you so much, Beth! ❤❤❤
Justine, I need to know about the scrubbing tool and bar cleaning solution you spoke of, please and thank you!!!
Hi Pam! I know that the cleaner is called Barkeeper’s Friend. As for the tool, just search scrubbing tool on Amazon and you’ll come up with a bunch. 😃
Justine roll a blanket or towel then put at edge of bed under the sheet works great always kept my wild sleeper in bed!

We too, have sulphur in our water. It took us years to resolve. We were noseblind until we filled the tub and then😱
So gross, right, Darlene? I am soooooo happy the smell is gone. 😃😃😃
Great episode, and lovely to hear more about Hope and Kiesha from Pine Barren Knits!! I’m jumping on the Le Pouf knitalong!
YAAAAAASSSSSS, Katherine! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Just ordered that book for my 2 yr old granddaughter
Sweet!

So fun to visit with you ladies! As a kid my parents put a chair next to my bed to prevent me from rolling out, until I got used to a “big bed”.
Perfect, Maryann! Way better than those stupid guard rail thingies. 🤣🤣🤣

Hi Louise! I’m so sorry to hear about your Mom. 😔 She is so lucky to have someone as amazing as you caring for her. Talk to you soon! Love-Lori ❤️❤️❤️
1:35:06 "Do you see me doing that?" LOL - I'm Lori.
I went back to watch and cracked up! 🤣
I didn't notice your hair color change Justine but I love it. I want to knit your sweater and I need to know the color of your pink nail polish. LOL!
Hi Donna! ❤️❤️❤️

Right? 😂

I’m so sorry to hear this, Siobhan. Thinking of you and your family. ❤
I love love love that sheep yarnball bag from your friend Steven. Is there somewhere I can go to buy one?
I will ask Steven, Jessica! Stay tuned…😃
Hi!! I think you could do a LIVE PodCast for your 50th episode. What do you think?
Hi Eileen! Maybe we could do that! I’ll talk to the boss…🤣🤣🤣
Yes! Why is it so hard to put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher? They carried them to the sink.
Umm…guilty…😬😬😬

I have also thrown my back out that way, Craig. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ Bad backs stink…I think that is a great idea for a KAL! 😃
I'll make that sweater! Pick me! Pick me! lol
Lori, rotten egg smell means excess sulfur probably in your water.
Thank you, Donna! The good news is that the smell is gone! 😃😃😃
Loved the podcast, as always, but I have to say... watching videos of people cleaning is - what's the word? oh yeah - weird. 😜 (jk)
Hahahahahaha! 😂
