my man still rocking a classic Mac mouse, it was that that made my decision to choose this mic. joking aside, I am wanting to switch from my yeti and start getting into xlr for my streams, great vid, no nonsense and to the point. love it
It's not like it sounds particularly like an SM7B, but it sounds fine for most non-music purposes. There's no 'air' to the sound, but a tiny touch of room-sized reverb and maybe a goose of high shelf (your preamp noise being the limiting factor) would deconstrict the top. Personally I would use EQ to trim down the lower mids/upper bass, cuz that proximity effect gets pretty tubby in a hurry.
Totally! My hope is newbies will consider cheaper options like this, rather than dropping money on something like the 7b out of the gate without knowing what they’re getting or why they’re spending so much. The TD510 is a very usable mic at a much better price point especially for people without the experience to hear the difference. Thanks for sharing!
@@itsjackpicks Agree with everything. I both a) think people get too caught up in the gear, when - in the context of vlogging & voice-over - almost anything beyond a bad camera mic is going to be adequate and unobtrusive; and conversely b) every time I see someone with an SM7B, I think Damn, that _is_ an appealing, balanced sound!! :^> But when I see someone using a cheap mic, I almost never think That sounds awful.
Im thinking of getting this with the boom arm and an audio mixer to properly adjust things. I admittedly get a really cheap knock off USB plug'n'play mic, but that picks things up super easily. Want something a bit more professional
I really want this as a Graduation present it sounds dope and i want a usb mic that is dynamic looks good and can be connected to my ps4 I want to stop using the yeti to record as I live in new york

Haha, I can’t stand recharging wireless stuff in the studio.
Thanks for the feedback!

Did you test the zero latency jack with headphones? I just saw another video where is a complaint with that feature.
I had no latency with it when I tested it!
A little late, but what software are you using for the sound test?
I use Ableton Live
What is that tabletop mic stand your using?
Here’s a link to my exact stand: amzn.to/46UghgC
@@itsjackpicks thank you
Which one you think is better maono pd200x or the tonor td510

The sound of the microphone is really good
Thanks friend!
I have it plugged to my audio interface, XLR and no lights turn on, as I need to mute to use as a talkback mic. Please help, thanks!
Lights and button functions only work when in USB mode. XLR mode is a typical unpowered pro audio mic.
which microphone is better tonor td510 or fifine k688
k6 i own both
Hi, does it need a fethead?
It most likely doesn't especially if your audio interface is good
I didn’t need any inline gain boosters in my testing. If you’re using a low end USB bus powered audio interface you may notice less max gain.
If you have an sm7mv or b can you do a side by side?
It's fine for the price.
Agreed! Thanks for sharing!
