@@from.the.basement when Aaron gets comments that praise him, he's always super appreciative and humble about it, and it seems his work hasn't deteriorated one bit fortunately. Also the comment was encouraging him to release tracks.
7:20 surprised me a lot. For a year and a half, the playing and the love for guitar is outstanding to see. I started really early in my life so maybe my perspective is different, but your dedication and artistry shows in your work. Really inspiring video!
Yet another masterpiece from you, Really loved the footage from the RCA vhs, I urge you to release your songs you use in your videos, they sound great! Also really dig the look of the identity crisis flier, that teal really matches the vibe of the guitar. That new quad reverb sounds amazing and looks really cool as well, the neck pickup sounds incredible with the Hendrix riff, it definitely nails that atmospheric sound in his studio recordings.
My 67' Jaguar also has an identity crisis of its own. Gibson bridge, Gibson humbucker in the neck. But they know who they are and uniquely their own. Loved the intro.
I'm trying to stay off the comments section but this video is incredible, your video production skills are in another Ligue and I'm a guitar player for more than 10 years now, i can tell you with confidence you don't suck at all, I started playing because I loved Kurt and nirvana, but now I ended up in a different sonic place, it's a nice touch to see a little Hendrix, and a wha and some improv on that style, hope you keep doing things like this and also whatever you did on the start of the video sounds fantastic, along side the VHS recording gave me some serious nostalgic trip to when I was 15 and obsessed with Nirvana and listened those records every day on repeat, anyways, keep doing the incredible quality content you're doing, thanks for creating, also big fan of Steve jobs too I don't know you but I kinda feel related to you 🥴 hope I'm not sounding stupid, cheers !
Loving the Identity Crisis guitar!! I would love to listen all of your music, also i love the hi flier guitars, this one is so beautiful, i love your channel!!
You truly are a fantastic creator, your content is so personal and unique whilst also being really interesting and creative. Your love for analogue technology is inspiring :)
Just found your channel. Cool stuff. That picture on the back of your guitar @5:40 looks like it's from a television show(1968-1973) called The Mod Squad.
I love that guitar is awesome. And keep doing your thing man I've lost touch with all my music stuff with bad relationships and I'm really starting to regret the time I wasted on people when I could have wasted that time on music for said people that don't deserve it
Nice opening! Loved the Hitchcock & reverse Hitchcock camera moves. So enjoying these videos. I thought I was perhaps too obsessed with Nirvana (who I got to see live a couple of times) , you've made me feel like I've got a nice healthy interest by comparison 😉
You must really be loaded considering all the guitars and gear you purchase. I can dig it. I have a Fiesta red MIJ with a U serial number and was made on 05/2012. I have a couple MIJ Strats. I have a 1971 Gretsch Chet Atkins, 100% all original as my grand dad purchased it new in 1970. I am a big Nirvana/Kurt fan as well and am really liking your vids.
Your videos are awesome! Really beautiful, the fact that you play the guitar for only one year is something I love! A great live lesson and a little piece of pleasure with a freakin video picture . Tell us where do you get all your gear , how do you process etc... Inspiring videos anyway . (excuse my English: French dude )
The picture on the back of the guitar is a shot of the cast of a late 60's early 70's TV show called Mod Squad. It was the show that 21 Jump Street would be based on.
can't believe i only just found this channel, love these videos!! the production is amazing, and even though there's lots of gear talk i'm coming away inspired to make more music, your playing is so soulful. keep at it!!
Been waiting for your video to get recommended in my feed again for a month now since the last video of yours I've watched. Didn't knew the channel's name lol. Now I've subscribed so I can't miss your content. Good luck on everything you do!
The picture on the back is the main cast members of The Mod Squad. Michael Cole, Peggy Lipton(wife of Quincy Jones and mother of Rashida Jones of Parks and Recreation) and Clarence Williams III.
Sick video. im planning on making a kurt cobain type mustang someday, in fiesta red since that color always appealed to me more then sonic blue. After thinking for a while, i think the things that make a guitar have a hollow sound with no attack is a thick finish on the body + dense/heavy wood for the body, its always the lightwieght guitars with thin nitro finishes and wood that isnt very strong that have that attack that sounds so nice
The picture on the back of the guitar is the cast of an old TV show called "The Mod Squad". It was a police/detective show that ran from the late 60's to the early/mid 70's. It was very popular. I can remember seeing a few episodes back in the day (my childhood). Now, why Cobain had it on his axe is beyond me. Perhaps, it reminded him of his childhood, too.
Great job on the videos. That picture on the back is a TV show called "The Mod Squad". Pete, Julie, & Linc. Detective show that ran from 68 to 73. Groovy
I am working on A new model guitar that was inspired by Kurt’s Collection. I want you to know that not only he but also you have played a big part in this idea. When I saw the clip where you showed that “If you build it, they will come” quote on the guitar, I got goosebumps. The company will be called Fowler Guitars. The concept being like a Fowler would capture a bird from the sky, I hope to capture the sounds in my head. A reference you made as well. We are definitely kindred, musical spirits, my friend. I appreciate everything you do!
Love what you did with this guitar, I myself have a univox phase 2 that I modded similarly except in the bridge I have a DiMarzio super distortion humbucker
Dude same here about the shredding! I like to develop style, sound, and mostly just figuring out how to put cool riffs together to make original yet catchy songs
Aye man that solo you played was dope AF.. Don't sell ya self short, i know u don't care but if you made a longer version of that it'd be in my car while I was driving to Santa Monica going to the beach here in cali.
Your intros are fking amazing and the song in them. Vhs videos always brings the nostalgic feelings. That univoxes are too expensive now it is cheaper to buy a harley bentons mosrite copy. But i dont know how good they are. Probably kid#1 and kid#2 sounds diferent because they are hand made. They are build by a man and not by a robot. Like you say, 2 speakers of the same model sounds different. It may think about the other hardware affects too, to the sound.
Could you show a video of you painting a guitar with the spray nitro finish? I’ve done it on a couple guitars and it’s turned out bad but yours looks great.
Just found your channel looking for stories about Kurt (I created a black "rock in a cops face" strat, and a BJA "bluey" strat myself, and I love your work dude, love the stories about Kurt's guitars. One thing - damn you're a lucky man, your wife is gorgeous!!!
Damn, i used to know who and what that picture was on the back of that guitar with the 3 people! I'm 45 and i've been a Nirvana fan since i was 13. Man, that's gonna rack my brain! Lollll. I think it might say in the Nirvana book Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana? I could be wrong though.
By buddy Tim bought a new Hi-Flier in '76 & never played it. I bought it from him in '78 for $100 when he needed rent money & I've had it ever since. I re-engineered the Trem so I can now do a deep dive or pull up a whole note, let go & it stays in tune. The moron at Mastery Bridge said it couldn't be done, and he had actually sawed one in half trying. I also swapped out the 3-on-a-plate tuners for 18:1 Grovers & junked the cheap, scratchy old pots in favor of Bourns "Blue" pots & Switchcraft switch & socket. The original Humbuckers stayed. I also have a Strat & a Les Paul. The Uni is my favorite solid body by far.
You do such a remarkable job with the visual effects and audio effect making it appear as if from start of the 90's. What did you do to the sound? I know this about guitars, but the production... Ok it was the cam

I don't care to advertise on other people's channels, so I will ask if you have checked out mine this way Aaron. Stealthy 👀
I love the little snippets of your own music that you include on these videos so much. Would love a whole album of it.
