Justin I’m so glad to see you posting more and more videos! Been watching since you only had a few hundred subscribers been a long time viewer!🙂 I ordered one of your Honda shirts years ago right before Covid turned the world upside down and I still wear it regularly. Me and my wife just done an engine swap in our 2002 Mustang GT! Loving to see the Mustang content brother!
Looks amazing! Awesome what you do on a budget with some old fashioned work. Excited to see how the MXR intake and carb do. I'd keep the coil ignition if you can! Should work as long as it still has the trigger signals. Looks like the electronic setup uses the distributor hole as is. I suppose you'd need the wiring harness and ECU too. Might be some weirdness with timing depending on what it needs to see, but I think it should work. Gonna be awesome either way.
Let’s Go Justin…. Glad to see an engine finally going into the Mustang, I am skeptical about buying a junkyard transmission for my ‘90 Legend. Any advice you could give me in what to look for is appreciated…
love to see you work and problem solve without having the massive shop and crew as a lot of the other channels do. Def hard work as the others mentioned.
I know enough to know that you don't start painting until you've at least checked the seals, pressure checked the cylinders and confirmed whether the oil filter/pan has metal shavings. Other than that, the lipstick on that pig looks good 😅
Hey man cool video. Just a heads up... you are gonna hate that explorer cam. I would look into a mild cam like a B, E or tfs 1 cam. Or at least put a stock ho cam in it. I seriously doubt you'll be happy with the topend of the explorer cam. Anyway good job and can't wait for the next video on it. New subscriber starting today. Oh and I forgot that if you go with a aftermarket cam you'll need to upgrade the valve springs. HO cam will be fine with stock springs but upgrading valve springs is always a good idea on these motors.
To add on to this, the valve springs are only good to about 4500 rpm. Swap the cam and valve springs and those heads will come alive. On another note, a 600 cfm carb is really big for a 302. You can tune it to run well enough, but a 500 cfm or even a 450 cfm would give you better tip in throttle response. All this info I learned from experience. Keep up the good work. This channel is grassroots at its finest!
Not to impede on your work, wouldn’t it be beneficial to go through the motor first before adding all those sweet parts? I would hate to all your hard work go to waste. Love the channel. Love what you do.
Disappointed the stock mustang engine isn't being fixed up. I was thinking you were going to take it all the way apart and clean it, but seems like that's not the case. The new engine looks good though. But, I would have also taken that entire engine apart and cleaned it from top to bottom to ensure everything is solid. Overall, nice video. Looking forward to it being put in the mustang. Maybe even give it a turbo or supercharger. Edit: For references of complete engine take aparts and cleaning, these videos do a good job of showing how it's done and how the engine benefits from doing so: th-cam.com/video/ezePYdkPSmc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=02X-xFKJaw6H3mRk th-cam.com/video/ORkoMKqYkh4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=25VgtDc5O9z1JTfy
No! brother, don't use some cheap Chinese crap on that 5.0L. You can get great usa made stuff for cheap. Looks like you got GT40p heads and intake manifold. You can sell the intake alone and make some good money. For those who dont know, explorer/murcury after 1995 came with the 94/95 cobra heads and intake aka the GT40 and GT40p. They go for some good amount of money.
Off work just in time for another video from 79th Productions
Justin is the true definition of hard work. one of the most underrated DIY'ers. keep up the great work justin.
Justin is the definition of strong work ethic anything is achievable! Good on you mate

Nice weather birds chirping in the back ground! Engine looks clean!
That cleaned up really well. I dig the mix of the wrinkle black with the blue too. Can't wait to see it fired up.
Nice, got lucky with the bolts! Crossing fingers for the rest
Ur awesome 👌
Watching u from last 3 years 🎉
Super excited about this project too Justin. God bless you brother.
This dude is an inspiration

Whenever you get a pull a part engine, it's a gamble. Some junkyards can start the engine for you, but those cost a little more.
That new induction tool is the new wave instead of these torches
hope you post new videos on regular. good work
Hell yes brother! Great to see the mustang getting some love!
Solid content. Four years sitting in the back of the shop , not in too bad condition if you ask me. Awesome transformation!

Great Content, I’m loving the frequent uploading!!!! 👍
Looks good 👍
You did a great job painting that motor man, personally, I would’ve went with like an LS three or something but the 302s aren’t Ford wise
I love maxpeedingrods
love the mustang content!

Hi Justin, You should check compression and main bearings. You would know will it run or not. Best regards form Poland
Oh you're not longer going with the slant 6?
Fantastic video. I just wish you guys had used aluminum paint instead of blue 🥴
Awesome work man, hope the engine runs smoothly!
Love it man.
Man amazing work

Deal with the ford you get the lord
Any updates on the Eclipse fast and furious replica update?
Working on it

What is going on with the eclipse bro
hey man how you did you go about getting a storage unit as a work shop? Afraid to ask some owners and a lot of adverts saying storage use only
Do you write down your steps as you plan this stuff out? I know you gotta be organized as hell
I always plan it out. That helps with the budget and knowing what I will need
Would rtv work better instead of gaskets for honda engines?
No, honda gaskets work great. Old chevy and ford intake manifold gaskets usually have leaking problems.
What would you search for if you wanted what he was backing out those broken bolts with?

Do you have a link to the tool or attachment you used to extract those bolts? I broke a bolt on my trans pan that gotta come out😢
Might be extremely late but found this comment and another stating the tools name. It's apparently a "DEWILL Broken Bolt Remover Stud Extractor Tool"
