Really? I wondered how he could be perplexed about the cranking problem when the battery was obviously low. Even after his voltmeter confirmed that it was low, he thought it was fine. The problem was obvious to me early on, someone forgot to connect the fuel pump and cranked it 'till the battery was low. I would have had it running a couple minutes after finding the fuel pump disconnected.
If every bike or 4x4 was an unplugged fuel pump and a valve adjustment this channel would be boring. I love seeing him trouble shooting, splitting cases, and making major repairs. Broken machines is his content.

I picked up a 1976 IH Cub Cadet 1250 garden tractor a few weeks ago at an estate sale for $50.00. Has a hydro powered slip hitch on the rear and a very good condition 54" mower deck with several gardening attachments like a turn plow, chisel plow, and a disk plow all in very good shape. From the info I got from the seller, it was her fathers home on about 12 acers, he bought the 1250 new and she remembers him using it for everything up until about 2000 or so when she said he bought a new bigger garden tractor and just parked this one in the barn exactly where I got it from. I brought it all home, it has a Kohler 12 HP engine. I tore into it, and started cleaning everything up, cleaned and gapped the points, carb, replaced spark plug wire and plug and found the starter key switch was bad, found one on Amazon for $25.00 and the dang thing started up on the second crank. It runs great! Everything works perfectly and has ton of pulling power in low range, more than I ever expected from a 12 HP 1976 engine lol. It moves pretty quick too in high range. Even all 4 tires hold air. I have a 24 HP John Deer 0 turn and it will easily out run that. Can't wait to till a garden with it next spring! Not that I will ever sell it now, but looking around these things in as good as condition as mine without a mower deck, sleeve hitch or any garden attachments are selling for $600 to $700.00. I figure I got about a $1,500.00 garden tractor and accessories for less than $100.00.
@@darrellroeters4951 I thought so too, but it's got more pulling power and speed than my 24 HP 0 turn, by a lot. Example, I have a duel axel 1500 lb trailer in my barn with approx 1800 lbs of copper on it in barrels. 0 turn won't budge it, the 1250 pulls it in low, high, whatever with no issues.
Your Cadet with 12 HP has the right gearing for pulling power! It doesn't need a claimed 24 HP to do the job! For more than 80 years full size tractors did major work with very low HP engines. It all comes down to correct reduction gearing! Congrats on your lucky find!
Kohler was a good engine back in the day to my knowledge. We had a gas compressor we painted with on the side. Very reliable, (8hp if memory serves). Those older lawn tractors like this one can do surprisingly well with pulling power. Problem is traction but some fluid and or chains can remedy that. Just watch your front end rearing up. A buddy pulled a full size Ford Bronco with an old similar lawn tractor, (Wheel Horse).
@@kentuckywindage222 Yes, I am sold on this old 1250 Cub and the 12HP Kohler engine. The more I use it the more I love it. We had a bad wind storm a month or so ago and it blew over a 30 foot tall, about 10" round yellow poplar tree, no idea what that tree weighed, but I tied a line to it and pulled the entire tree about 200 yards to my barn wood pile to cut it up. For now I have tire chains and each rear wheel filled with about 5 gallons of windshield washer fluid. Think I'll invest in agriculture style tires for the rear by spring.
You are so fortunate that you can diagnosis these machines. I live in colorado and have 5 acres of pasture and a 6,000 ft driveway. I have to keep a back up mower and a backup ATV plow in case my two main go down. The ATV repair is three months behind on repairs and has over 80 machines in line to fix and John Deere is 6-8 weeks behind in repairs. It is a shame you don’t have a major repair facility that you could diagnosis and have your techs repair and still do your TH-cam.

I would imagine some get pretty upset with themselves. Anyway, cool videos man. You get into things the same way I do, just following the trail of breadcrumbs until you find the way to your destination. Great videos man!
when you park it, you want to leave the plow on the ground so the front shocks and winch aren't under load all the time, also like another commenter said, you want the winch cable as close to vertical as possible, also when plowing, you may want to find some old semi mud flaps, cut them up and make "flappers" that is what those holes on the top lip of the plow are for. You have probably plowed with one of these before, but you do have to be careful to not raise the plow to the stop, it puts a lot of strain on the bracket bolts. Also if you have ever plowed with one of these, you probably know this, but I would get some "4snow" paddle tires for it, you run out of traction quick, and stay on top of the snow, you don't want 12" of wet snow to fall and go pushing on it. Your transmission will heat up quick, so its better to go out and knock down the snow a few times, kick that blade as far as it will go sideways and push it off to the sides you don't want to straight push until you are doing final clean up or knocking your piles back.

The person who buys it brand new usually is not the one who ends up fixing all the stupid junky problems. I own 4 Hondas 06/07 let’s see one of those motos hold up as well.
Love your videos Joe! Feel like I learn something new every time I watch. Great to see you got a steal on this quad. Also, you should pick up more 2 stroke dirt bikes🔥
I did a lot of plowing with an atv. What worked well was a shorter winch line just for plowing. Your full length line gets trashed from the short repetitive pull. It also comes up slower making it easier on your battery and winch due to using the smaller diameter of the drum. The synthetic line works well. Now I use a ventrac with hydraulic everything. What a joy to use. No shifting forward to reverse as it's hydrostatic. Center pivot steering so you can move snow at 90 degrees at the end of a push if necessary. Downside is price, they are expensive.
The newer CF Moto units are much more refined. These 2017 machines are around when they were improving on the ease of user maintenance. Then they just kept improving on them with each new refresh. I'd love to get my hands on one of the new quads down the line.
Man you got lucky there, nice job. You should make a tidy profit when you sell that one. I bet the guy that sold it is kicking himself right now if he watches your videos 😂
These cfmotos are really popular here is europe too. Price seems to be low and they seem like decent machines. People mostly drive these things on the road. Here you can drive these on the road when you are 15yrs old and put car tires with studs on it and get to school even on winter. I would say that like 80% of the ATVs I see on the roads are cfmotos. People who need ATV for heavy work still usually buys more expensive brands.
The battery was weak but would revive after some time . The owner may have thought it was the cam chain binding up. Only to find the valve lash was off and the fuel pump disconnected . You got lucky on this one .
I very rarely comment on your videos but I must say you’ve earned the good fortune. Congrats! Also, to commend you on all your videos even the ones that have more serious issues. Watching your channel has both inspired and educated me… I’ve seen them all (on both channels). Hopefully I’ll gain a little of your patience along with a piece of your diagnostic skills. Please for the sake of my sanity… keep up the good work.! The growth is amazing!
Hi Joe, Really great to see you having a brake with the deal. It's about time for you. Good deal for you, it maybe cheaply made but for $1500 is a really good deal. maybe a good service and you should be good to go for winter. I guess you be getting snow soon with all that rain. really happy for you.
Joe, I'm not a fan of anything from China, especially a quad. I have to say, this machine seems to be pretty good, however, I'd never spend a nickel on anything from China. This was a good deal and made for some great content. Once again great job diagnosing! Love your content. Jay from Pa.
Seller probably was in there, forgot to plug the fuel pump in, and ran the battery low while trying to start. Then thought the clicking was the engine locked up but just due to the low battery.
This is the best looking quad I've ever seen that someone got for 1500. Can't believe it. Here in Arkansas they would've still wanted 3 or 4 grand for it just because how good it still looks lol.
What a bargain, you were definitely due for an easy fix for a change considering the last few. It looks and sounds great, also looks like it goes well.👍
So, the people who manufacture air filters recommend to not clean them with compressed air. What else would you expect? They would like you to by a new one as often as possible. If you are careful to not damage the filter it won't hurt anything.
If the thing is freaking paper maybe... Otherwise no. Unless you put a dang hole in it somehow you're just blowing the dust off it, not through it. Don't put the air nozzle RIGHT UP to the filter maybe but other than that... Your air compressor isn't THAT high powered is it? You pushing air into your veins like a pressure washer if you point it at your arm? No? Then its fine.
Dadgum joe! You got a heckuva good deal on your plow this time! I'm happy for you and hope that you get some good use out of your new machine for a long long time.
Bought a 2 CFmoto500s; has the 4x4, power steering, winch, efi. Has been the best quads. Got a trailer for work on the place. There are beasts and I am so happy!

They specialize in CFMoto and I'll back their reputation as one of the best in the business 😉😉😉
This ATV is not junk. I've owned mine for 4 years and done over 6,000 miles fault free except for 1 battery. I love it. I do all my own maintenance. It's a great machine and don't let anyone slag it down just because it's "Chinese". CFMOTO now have a world championship rider in MOTO 3 and close in MOTO 2. A close collaboration with KTM but for the money and quality nothing comes close
Where does he think most of those parts are made? I guarantee you Polaris and even Honda isn't 100% in house and have Chinese and other Asian countries produce some of their parts
Hey! On electrical connectors on ATV’s, Motorcycles etc. You might want to use Dielectric grease, especially if the machine is exposed to water and corrosion. The rust belt isn’t far from where you live. In my area they dump a lot salt on the roads every winter. If I used a lawn tractor, or ATV to move snow in the winter, I would go through all the ignition connectors, relays, light sockets and grease them. You don’t have to, but arcing is real problem, lamps will turn black, and relays and solenoids will fail. Take care.
Joe but can I have your personal input on these machines. My mechanic here in New Mexico will not work on these machines. Tells everyone to stay clear from them. I know you’re a master mechanic.
@ would you recommend on me buying on for me I like the 2 up. I have a 2013 can am 2 up just wish mine had the power steering. I know there is a way to add it on I’m not an atv mechanic to be working on it would it be worth it having it put on.

That is the best looking machine you've had on here to date. It is Chinese but what the heck. Man congrats, you stole it 😊 I just started watching this hope it turns out to be a good one.
Cfmoto is a decent brand. All of these ATVs break the same when they are not maintained. 5k miles is not bad. Cfmoto sold more units than polaris last year. All of the bigger manufacturers are afraid right now.
It's because the average guy doesn't have 30 grand a drop on a four-wheeler or side by side. It's too expensive. For the majority of people that are interested
@@coletrain3333 I have road them all they all fall apart the other brands are just stupid expensive and they're not work the money we pay. @@bigjay6743 no it's called maintenance what honda falls apart? This china shit half the time isn't rebuildable the metal is straight up trash. Yall that say they are good have not rebuilt anything.
I have one CForce and 3 Honda Foreman's and felt the same way about the ride. It felt like I was riding a plastic snap together model! The fix was wheel spacers and bigger tires to get more bulk on it and quiet out the ride, then some stick on tape insulation under the panels and it made a major change to the ride. Decided to keep it after that.
I bought a 2023 CFMoto CForce 600 Touring. Great machine! The only thing I don't like is the low end torque. That will be fixed with a new clutch kit. Easy to maintain and fun to ride with plenty of power.
SO how much do you charge yourself an hour to fix these machines???? The thing I enjoy most about watching you fix things is how you start with easy fixes and work your way thru to the possible harder problems . Do you ever wonder if the sellers watch your channel and kick their own asses for not finding the problems ???
Twice? Not close. My mother in law just bought a 2024 Bombardier 700 xt for $10,000. That’s 200 more CC’s with a winch and heavy duty long lasting components. All Can Am bolts and screws are of the highest quality. My 2006 Bombardier is still in like new condition and all the nuts and bolts don’t rust because of their quality in fasteners. If this junk here cost $8000, $10,000 for twice the quality and more robust components is well worth it.

Now I use a ventrac with hydraulic everything. What a joy to use. No shifting forward to reverse as it's hydrostatic. Center pivot steering so you can move snow at 90 degrees at the end of a push if necessary. Downside is price, they are expensive.
it's nice to see something that seems well designed for the user. as far as decent tools and labeling and dissembling and stuff.
The newer CF Moto units are much more refined. These 2017 machines are around when they were improving on the ease of user maintenance. Then they just kept improving on them with each new refresh. I'd love to get my hands on one of the new quads down the line.
Awesome deal there. Love watching you get to the root of the problem and fixing it no mater what it takes, even if its just a simple connection.
Great video Joe watching from Edinburgh Scotland UK 🇬🇧
Watching from Surrey UK brother!🤝💪👍👌🇬🇧🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
🏴 Scotland👍
Congratulations on almost 9 years of the TH-cam’s always the best content!
Man you got lucky there, nice job. You should make a tidy profit when you sell that one. I bet the guy that sold it is kicking himself right now if he watches your videos 😂
Wow, Amazing content. I really love the way you demonstrate the whole process of diagnosing and repairing the issues on these vehicles.
I can hear Vinnies little paws wondering round there!,hi Vin!! Cute puppy 🐶
Is it me? Or is Vinnie reaching “cult of personality” status! Lol
You are very thorough man that's why you are good @ What you do. Start with basics and get deep into it. Great Job.
Where do you Live?
Well bought Joe! Nice to see you get a good deal instead of a total engine rebuild!😃
The battery was weak but would revive after some time . The owner may have thought it was the cam chain binding up. Only to find the valve lash was off and the fuel pump disconnected . You got lucky on this one .
Yeah, had exactly the same thought with that starter. Must have thought it was binding up indeed.
You Put a Extra Zero on the $8,000 🤣
He is the zero
I lol'd 🤣
@@pbsfix269go watch your pathetic terrariums buddy they sck
also on the 1500 in the desc 😂
Hi Joe, Really great to see you having a brake with the deal. It's about time for you. Good deal for you, it maybe cheaply made but for $1500 is a really good deal. maybe a good service and you should be good to go for winter. I guess you be getting snow soon with all that rain. really happy for you.
Joe, I'm not a fan of anything from China, especially a quad. I have to say, this machine seems to be pretty good, however, I'd never spend a nickel on anything from China. This was a good deal and made for some great content. Once again great job diagnosing! Love your content. Jay from Pa.
Well if you're not a fan for anything from China, you probably shouldn't buy anything anymore!
I missed how you solved the starter problem. I look forward to each and every video. Thank you.
He said it will not turn with just 12v ...
Low battery. Starting system was ok.
Seller probably was in there, forgot to plug the fuel pump in, and ran the battery low while trying to start. Then thought the clicking was the engine locked up but just due to the low battery.
I have 4000 miles on my 2022 cfmoto 600 without repairs :D Okay, i changed the bushings on the swingarm, but i jumped with it a ton)
Same here..600 touring
Wow Joe you are getting a lot of different machines on the channel. Love watching as always. Really would like to see a Suzuki lt80 on here one day!
This is the best looking quad I've ever seen that someone got for 1500. Can't believe it. Here in Arkansas they would've still wanted 3 or 4 grand for it just because how good it still looks lol.
I watch all your videos its amazing to see you figure out all these machines buy low sell high after fixing you must make a ton of money 💰
Joe doesn't want to pay 3G to have to walk behind a Honda Snowblower so he gets a ride on plow with PS and ATV for 1.5K. I'd call that win.
Yes
You are so lazer focused with such precision ,I’m sure glad to see you get a GREAT deal
500 for 500k subs! Congrats! 😊
2V, you win some and lose some, today you won bigtime! It pays to be fearless with a great skillset! Congrats!
Some systems don't activate the fuel pump until the starter switch is pushed.
Great to see you put your talent to work. Doing what you love makes a good life.😮
I have a CFmoto uforce 800. They are notorious for blowing relays.
What a bargain, you were definitely due for an easy fix for a change considering the last few. It looks and sounds great, also looks like it goes well.👍
I was taught that blowing through an air filter backwards can destroy them and allows particles through.
Yup 👍🇨🇦
So, the people who manufacture air filters recommend to not clean them with compressed air. What else would you expect? They would like you to by a new one as often as possible. If you are careful to not damage the filter it won't hurt anything.
I was thinking he would wet/wash clean the outside foam part of that air filter. The inside must be bought new anyways.
Just watching you pull all those pieces off and I know I'm glad it's you and not me lol great video thank you
Joe, how about doing a video (or videos) on a subscribed viewers bike in need of repair?
If they agree to bring it in and pay for parts and labor.
I love watching these rebuild/tbl shooting videos! Please keep up the great work!
They have these priced from $6k to $12,000 on their site depending on spec. Not much cheaper than a Honda fourttaxx Foreman model, with EFI.
You deserved an easy fix this time. Love your TH-cam channel. I've learned so much.
Damn you must have someone working on creating and editing these videos as hard as you work on these machines... impressive..
Daily vlogs brother, that wot the fam wants!👌👍💪🤝🇬🇧🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Dadgum joe! You got a heckuva good deal on your plow this time! I'm happy for you and hope that you get some good use out of your new machine for a long long time.
It's about time you caught a break with a bike or ATV
Bought a 2 CFmoto500s; has the 4x4, power steering, winch, efi. Has been the best quads. Got a trailer for work on the place. There are beasts and I am so happy!
Nice find Joe. If you need any upgrades for your CFMoto, clutch upgrade, ECU upgrades or whatever just call the Blake and boy's up at Main Street Cycle in Tishomingo, MS and tell them what your using that for and what they recommend. They specialize in CFMoto and I'll back their reputation as one of the best in the business 😉😉😉
The injector housing is called the Throttle Body Joe,enjoying the video 👍😬😉👌
Great machine bro. Nice one video. Interesting
I've learned a lot from watching your videos. Waiting on parts for mine to come in after a bearing in the transmission let go
This ATV is not junk.
I guess since the machines are fairly cheap to begin wiould stand to reason the parts probably reasonable priced.
He tends to slag all Chinese made machines😅
That's good to hear, but I wouldn't expect many problems with a 4 yr old quad with 6,000. Hopefully it continues to treat you well
Where does he think most of those parts are made? I guarantee you Polaris and even Honda isn't 100% in house and have Chinese and other Asian countries produce some of their parts
Now THIS was a steal man. Very good reliable machine for it's use. 1500$ with the plow and winch is fantastic.
You have been scammed by enough sellers to deserve one like this. Congrats.
Love to find a deal like that. Nice work troubleshooting your fix.
Take care.
Great video, great find. I love my older Polaris 2up machine. They are hard to find down south. My wife has tunnel vision so she rides with me.
I have a 2024 Cforce 600 and I have zero complaints and mine doesn't feel "cheap" at all. I ride the crap out of it and jump it. I am 6'6 and 290lbs.
Joe but can I have your personal input on these machines. My mechanic here in New Mexico will not work on these machines. Tells everyone to stay clear from them. I know you’re a master mechanic.
They are easy to work on. Easier than most other brands.
@ would you recommend on me buying on for me I like the 2 up. I have a 2013 can am 2 up just wish mine had the power steering. I know there is a way to add it on I’m not an atv mechanic to be working on it would it be worth it having it put on.
Love your content, be binge watching your channel since I came across it a few weeks ago, I've learned a lot and I really appreciate the videos....thank you
$8000 or $80000? 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 u wrong
I was wondering too
$8,000
Nice! I have 2 CFMoto's 2021, 600 and 800. Excellent and never had a problem with either. Keep oil/filter changed, Air filter clean. Gas up and go.
Stock banshees are going for 5k plus
10k
@zerozero6265 never seen one for 10k stock but I do see some with modes going for 8k plus. . I got my first banshee in 2009 and I payed 1500 but it needed pistons. Had the T6 pipes, 17 tooth sprocket, after market timing plate and I also had it bored over. Mines use to rip with just force 4s and couple mods
2V, you did find 3 tight valves! Love the plow!
That is the best looking machine you've had on here to date. It is Chinese but what the heck. Man congrats, you stole it 😊 I just started watching this hope it turns out to be a good one.
i miss the top speed tests when you where still at your parents, love the content, keep it up
Nice too see you in the win column again!
It is about time you had an easy one to fix. Nice one.
Cfmoto is a decent brand. All of these ATVs break the same when they are not maintained. 5k miles is not bad. Cfmoto sold more units than polaris last year. All of the bigger manufacturers are afraid right now.
Cfmoto is decent? I think it’s absolute 🗑️
It's because the average guy doesn't have 30 grand a drop on a four-wheeler or side by side. It's too expensive. For the majority of people that are interested
You must have no standards to say these are decent.
@@coletrain3333 I have road them all they all fall apart the other brands are just stupid expensive and they're not work the money we pay. I wouldn't say CFMOTO is the best but it's not the worst either. The funny part is most of these machines have a lot of shared parts and yes they are from China.
Can't believe people are paying that much for these...
Agreed, they are absolute junk.
It's a good deal compared to the other junk that they sell for almost double.
We go wheeling constantly CAN-AM they tear themselves apart and Polaris just fall apart.
Yeah that is crazy
Why wouldn't they way cheaper.
Nice to see you post again
NEVER blow a filter from the outside in!
That’s the way it’s designed. It’s not designed for air to flow from the inside out
@@jaredmcquiniff6174 WRONG!
I would love to see a video about how you keep everything organized doing these projects
Can Am is twice the quality
I love 4+4 can am
Twice the price, too!
Twice?
You have a lot of content going Joe! Great job
Many open jobs !!
14:03 It is not smart to unscrew the spark plug without cleaning the spark plug socket from sand.
Thanks for doing a CFORCE! I got a new 2023 600. Great machine!
Just because the battery reads 12 volts doesn’t mean there is enough amperage.
You should know this by now.
