The ipad mini 7 will come in the fall along with the iPhone 16 release

Interestingly enough, it looks like 5/6 of the iPad minis were announced in the Fall time, so you're probably right. It just seems strange at this point to have a dedicate iPad event and not do the mini refresh at that time as well.

I imagine this new series of iPad were made in a way to lock out some features to pressure the new purchase. The iPhone 14 Pro Max and 15 pro max have the same camera setup but 14 pro max can’t do the new spacial videos. 😢

I think the iPad Pros will always have those special features to set it far apart from the lower tier iPads. However, I think the new 13" iPad Air will be very popular with people who may have been in the market for the iPad Pro just for the bigger screen size.

I'm desperate for an iPad Mini Pro, ever since I got my MacBook Pro 16" my M1 12.9 iPad has been collecting dust and well is going to be sold, but I really want a small iPad, the MacBook although amazing, can sometimes be really big heavy and uncomfortable, but my iPhone 14PM is too small and an 11" iPad also seems to big let alone a 12.9 so a mini is perfect for the sofa...But, im so used to 120hz I can't go back to 60hz I've still got an iPhone XS Max laying about and every time ive booted it up it looks so choppy because of 60hz it looks horrid. Wish they'd given the Mini some love and give it the Pro treatment, even if it doesn't have the new OLED but LCD\MiniLED or something but crucially 120hz id buy it in a heart beat, although not an excuse give it OLED apple haha.

@@blacknosugar17 Jesus Christ, read my comment properly before commenting - i didn’t imply there WAS one I said I’m “desperate” for one meaning I’d want them to make one.

Maybe the 60 hz screen on the 6th gen is what I'm perceiving as more laggy/choppiness. I notice the difference every time I switch from the 6th generation iPad mini to something that has a 120 hz screen. The iPad Pro has had a 120 hz screen since 2017! It's about time that technology trickle down to the iPad mini. The mini will always have a premium price due to its size, so I'm sure people wouldn't mind paying a bit more of it had some of those Pro features.

@@phoeyedtechguy I think so mate, the A15 is still a capable chip, I just find when I do use a 60hz panel, scrolling, app changing practically anything with animation seems choppy. My eyes are just so used to 120hz now - and yeah I fully agree, 120hz is't a pro feature, been on iPad's since 2017 and even on budget Android phones, I don't mind not having the latest and greatest display tech like OLED or MiniLED but 120hz makes the user experience so much better and fluid. You can add all the power you want Chip wise but if the screen can't push more fps than 60 it doesn't matter. Bring on the iPad mini Pro apple haha

They didn't update the iPad Mini because it would have stolen the show when compared to the other iPads that were launched... I mean iPad Pro was good and they wanted it to gain the most attention. It could affect their sale of the iPad Pro for an average customer. iPad mini may come soon with better features than the normal iPad or iPad Air.

I think there is a distinct customer for all the different iPad models. even if they upgraded the iPad mini and it turned out to be a better value than a different iPad, it still turns into a sale for Apple. I have a feeling they haven't decided what to do with the iPad mini line or their data shows people are perfectly happy with the 6th gen.
