One thing to consider when it comes to battery life on Samsung phones imported from the US or Canada to Europe is that these variants do not work with carrier aggregation for some reason. I've tested it with Polish, German, Spanish, and Slovakian networks and it doesn't work on any of them (Galaxy S10 G973W and reports from friends with S23 FE from Canada as well) it might impact the battery life of these imported variants quite dramatically, since phone's modem doesn't have to work as hard while using mobile data, especially when phone is physically moving (say in a train or in a car).

I watched all your videos where the 24 (snap or exynos) comes into play. I appreciate your scientific and rigorous approach. I noted that your S24 snap only has 20 cycles but above all you don't worry about exhausting them to 0%, which can degrade them prematurely... So, after 10 months and this type of use, do you think that this battery degradation parameter can also explain the differences between your phone versions? As a scientist, have you tried to measure the real capacity of the phone batteries you are testing ? with Accubattery or discharge via a USB tester ? Thanks for your very interesting work
Hi, the most important factor is the apps I run, also the last test was on 5G in a different country. I would say 10-20 is the real difference depends. I would be surprised if one phone degraded 10 percent more over the other considering I rarely use these phones other than test days. I also always measure the wattage percentage and so far it does reflect the percentage shown on the phones.
Thank you for this review! I am definitely getting a SD version. It is very clear that SD wins relating to heating and battery life. Interestingly enough, it seems Ex version is more expensive here in PH than SD - from online sellers. Edit: I also read that there are network issues sometimes with Ex. So, I'll ship mine from HK, instead of the expensive one here from official Samsung stores.
7:23 wow the exynos variant is so shaky. i have one too but mine is not that shaky, i spontaneously tried recording in 3x after seeing that footage. is it something about the phone unit?
Hi. First of all thanks for the comparison. But your comparison is mostly regarding camera. What we wanna know is how is it for regular use especially the s24 exynos. We all know that SD 8 gen 3 is superior, but how does exynos stand against daily usage after 10 months. Please make a video about s24 exynos after 10 months. 1. Performance 2. Heating issue. 3. Battery life.
Cool Video! In my region we only get Exynos variant and the one thing has bugged me in the cameras from many generations ago is that as soon as it's a low light scene or dark, the Exynos variants depict darker areas as "muddy" - like a brown painting. It's sad to see that same phenomenon still exists in the latest flagship today. The Exynos variants also use Samsung's own sensor instead of a Sony and the Sony sensors are just better. Do you know which sensors the phones in your comparison have?
Turning off 5G does increase the battery life in Exynos. Of course that depends on the kind of use you want out of the phone. Also, setting the Thermal Threshold to one or two values lower than default helps.
Exynos has autofocus issue, you can observe that from a pic taken on main lense inside the church, front coloured glass is not focused on exynos version and looks blurry, where as glass is sharp and clear on snapdragon version . However just wanted to know how's grain issue on exynos vs sd as I have s24 ultra and s24 exynos , grain is too much on exynos version.
The SD has much better… well everything. Everything is about 10-20% better than Exynos. Thats a generational difference for the same generation phones.
That's perfect to evaluate the option to buy Exynos version. On the one hand , the frustration remains as Samsung sells us ( at least on release ) a different product at the same amount, on the other hand the Exynos existence itself justifies the close price between the S23 line and the 24 equipped with Samsung chipsets.
I am from India, and I know some elders who would pick up the fruits from backyard and make something from it. I forgot what the fruit was called, it had a purplish fruit. Does snapdragon version support eSim? Found in some store s24(not plus and not ultra) with snapdragon and 12gb of RAM, but it supports only 2 physical sim cards
I own a Marble Grey S24 Plus with 512gb but with Exynos version. I wish to get the Snapdragon one, but Exynos wasn't that bad. It's overheating from time to time. Performance wasn't as perfect as Snapdragon, but it is better than other smartphones out there for now.

hello, can you test standard vs light performance modes when using social media (like reddit) for about an hour? Im curious about the temperature and battery difference
People are just mad because why would they pay a phone with an inferior chipset for the same price. I mean there is a reason why they only use snapdragon on ultras. Because if Exynos is truly at par with SD then they could've use it on ultras in regions that gets exynos for regular and plus. But Samsung didn't simply because its not.

I think that we should thinnk twice before buying the Exynos variant. Samsung had issues with S22, S21Fe that hace Exynos processors. After some usage and some softwaree updates the screens had green lines or even does not work at all due to some hardware issues caused by the extream heat from the processor.
Samsung charged the same price for exynos is really a crime. That's why I personally don't buy Samsung until they supply the same SD chipset here. So unfair.. Anyways, great video to show daily usage on a phone!

Anyway i like ur reviews hope u would do S23 review to in 2024.. keep a poll many people want it
I like ur vids man...
esperei muito por esse vídeo
Turning off 5G does increase the battery life in Exynos. Of course that depends on the kind of use you want out of the phone. Also, setting the Thermal Threshold to one or two values lower than default helps.
Exynos has autofocus issue, you can observe that from a pic taken on main lense inside the church, front coloured glass is not focused on exynos version and looks blurry, where as glass is sharp and clear on snapdragon version .
However just wanted to know how's grain issue on exynos vs sd as I have s24 ultra and s24 exynos , grain is too much on exynos version.
he just makes quality content

The SD has much better… well everything. Everything is about 10-20% better than Exynos. Thats a generational difference for the same generation phones.
"Same" phone but big battery difference, that is dishonored.
My galaxy a52 loses 1% overnight.. how is that possible? My galaxy s21fe loses 10%
Exynos improved so much over time, seemingly its main drawback rn is battery, which isn't really that different now either.
Exynos get hotter while using mobile data 4g and 5g then spadragon
@realitycheck908 too bad it doesnt matter if the phone works normally

Do you think S24 Ex and SD Plus version would be closer in term of battery life ?
I am from India, and I know some elders who would pick up the fruits from backyard and make something from it. I forgot what the fruit was called, it had a purplish fruit. It was kind of like...prawns? Like a long stem, with tiny berries on it. Forgot the Indian name for it, and don't know the English name 😅
May be I can help
Indian name : Shetur or Shahtoot
English name : Mulberry Fruits
I have s24 with exynos , and im inlove of it !
Does snapdragon version support eSim? Found in some store s24(not plus and not ultra) with snapdragon and 12gb of RAM, but it supports only 2 physical sim cards
now this is a test!!!! amazing video. I have the S24 Ultra but obviously i'm goin to watch this level of comparison still! haha keep it up!
Can u do an extreme low light comparison between s24 Sd, s24 ex, iphone 16/15?
I own a Marble Grey S24 Plus with 512gb but with Exynos version. I wish to get the Snapdragon one, but Exynos wasn't that bad. It's overheating from time to time. Performance wasn't as perfect as Snapdragon, but it is better than other smartphones out there for now.
Watching on S24 Ultra...I really wanted S24+ because of shape and perfect size, but Exynos repetitively killed my purchase.
Great video, thanks, I am using EX version, really the battery life is very poor, I switched from S10 lite, my old phone has still good battery life than current
One question, where did you get that Exynos wallpaper?
IMO EX ISP is more vivid and i loved it❤
i notice that signal on the Exynos seemed worse for most of the vlog. Were both phones roaming on the same network?
hello, can you test standard vs light performance modes when using social media (like reddit) for about an hour? Im curious about the temperature and battery difference
People are just mad because why would they pay a phone with an inferior chipset for the same price. I mean there is a reason why they only use snapdragon on ultras.
Because if Exynos is truly at par with SD then they could've use it on ultras in regions that gets exynos for regular and plus. But Samsung didn't simply because its not.
can you please try with dual sim activity enabled as most people are using dual sim cards now a days.
exynos version has a smaller notch compared to SD?
nope, it's the same. it's just an illusion because he uses a black case on SD
Which chip has more realistic pics n videos ?
5:52 bro r u from Germany or Austria?
Does anybody know where i can buy a snapdragon s24 here in europe?
nowadays, is s24 ex better than s23 sd? how about the cameras and temperature?
About the same, but the s23 is the better buy.
This is way more informative that the crap big youtubers do.
They are just shills at this point

Nothing Phone 2 2024 review please! Also tell us about it's battery life!
Has Samsung S24 with the exynos improved with the updates?? Which phone should I go for iphone 15 or s24 (exynos)
My main usage is
1. Social Media
2. Browsing
3. Photos and VIdeos
I am leaning towards S24 only because it has android and I don't want to be tied with the IOS as I work with WIndows... but I am willing to go for iphone if S24 (exynos) but is it horrible. And should I get Base Pixel instead??
Bro, i have the identical struggle 😂😅
@@sabameurmishvili2245 bro 🤣🤣 if only samsung launched s24 with snapdragon 😭
@@kakashihatake7921 We are unlucky. Now i am searching for stores which import S24 from USA
@@sabameurmishvili2245 please inform me aswell if you find such store. I did find the snapdragon s24 on alibabaexpress but they don't ship to India
what do u recommend for someone who lives in North africa and dont want exynos?
I got my S24 SD but... I'm downgrading to an A35. I don't use it's full potential and I compared it's pictures to A35 and they're damn close! I even preferred the out of the box pictures on some of the A35s! Time to sell my S24. It would definitely be outdated by year 7...
I think that we should thinnk twice before buying the Exynos variant. Samsung had issues with S22, S21Fe that hace Exynos processors. After some usage and some softwaree updates the screens had green lines or even does not work at all due to some hardware issues caused by the extream heat from the processor.
Thats problem is mostly 8gen1 exynos are fine
Name of icons?
If only Samsung wouldnt go the EXYNOS route i wouldnt look elsewhere
Using S24 Exynos for last one month❤
All European citizens say to you thanks to use the exynos version in the tests
it was like I'm listening to a story
Where in Asia are you from?
Tensor G chip 4 lyfe !
Samsung charged the same price for exynos is really a crime. That's why I personally don't buy Samsung until they supply the same SD chipset here. So unfair..
Anyways, great video to show daily usage on a phone!
Lucky i got Flagship Snapdragon 😎👌
Samsung did wrong this time. If they not replace the exynos with snapdragon on usa and classic s24’s have only exynos, its can acceptavle. But same price different power level proccesor is not fair
Its jam time 🎉
