    Thank you, I was trying to find information regarding H.66 error. This video sure was informative and I did.find that the H.66 was a "safety" latch that seems to be malfunctioning. Would be nice if there were more informational videos on how to test or diag safety latches.
    Thank you so very much.

    Hi and thanks for the video.
    I have a Yaskawa CIMR-VCBA0012BAA to be installed for my parents. The aim is, to convert single phase power supply to operate 3 phase submersible water pump. I'm still struggling with wiring and programming though, but if it's even done correctly, my elderly parents are gonna struggle with operating the unit,so my question is:can l Install a water pump control panel in between the Yaskawa inverter and water pump to make it simpler? Many thanks for the time and help of anyone who can help.

    For some reason I was unable to respond directly to your comment, but I hope you can see this.
    An easy way to reset to the factory settings is to go to parameter A1-03. This will allow you to initialize the parameter values. You will change this parameter and save it, then change it back again to the parameter it once was. Every time you change this parameter, it resets back to the factory defaults of that set up (2-wire control, 3-wire control, etc..)

    I was wondering why I cannot start my drive remotely using only a 24v input from an external push button. I am not using the drive's 24v supply. Do I need to switch it to source? Also, is a common wire needed from the drive?

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Tim Lawson Yes, you will have to change switch S3 to source, sink is the default, in order to have the drive operate from an external 24VDC signal. You will also need to connect a wire from the SC terminal of the drive to the common of your external source.

    In a hoist operation, V1000 is used for controlling two 0.55 kw motors. Using multifunction input contact S5 & SC, the speed should increase upto rated frequency of 50 Hz. But it is building upto 5.25 Hz. How can I rectify this? Please help

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Rajatsubhra Ray I’m assuming that you have it programmed properly to so that the speed reference goes to 50 Hz when you select S5. If that is true, you may be going into current limit which will not allow the frequency to go above the point at which you hit current limit. When you select S5, measure the current on all three legs of both motors. They should be balanced and when you add the currents from one leg of each motor, that total should be below the maximum current you programmed into your drive at parameter E2-01. If you are running in V/F mode, you can disconnect the motors and then start the drive and select S5, if the output goes up to 50 Hz, then you are probably going into current limit. If it doesn’t go to 50 Hz, something is not programmed properly. If that is the case, I would need to know how you are setting the drive up to run at 50 Hz with S5 selected, are you trying to program in a speed or are you looking at an analog input.

      The Yaskawa V1000 series and most drives will allow you to look at parameter values while the drive is running and some can even be edited while in run mode as well. The drive will usually tell you a parameter is not changeable while running if you try to, ok?

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      2 different drive modes for Rotational tuning, V/F Control or Open Loop Vector Control (or OLV mode).
      Both Control modes require the motor be uncoupled from its load before running Autotune. If uncoupling not possible or very difficult, the load at autotune must be less than 30% of process run load.
      OLV Control requires that the motor and the drive are closely matched in size (horsepower), V/F Control is more forgiving on motor size (will run smaller motors).
      Ok now Stationary autotune is for application where the motor cable is longer than 50 meters (164’) or application where the motor cable length was modified since precious autotune.
      Didn’t see it in the manual notes but probably doesn’t matter if the load is uncoupled or not.
      Always backup parameters after autotune, some values have been changed and need to be saved.

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did not find any software or communication features available for the P7 series Yaskawa drives.
      They do however have a MODBUS communication option to interface to a PLC, but not a laptop.
      You can however copy parameters to your keypad referred to as the “Digital Operator” so you can at least backup what you have. see below.
      o3 Digital Operator Copy Function
      􀂄 o3-01 Copy Function Selection
      Note: The copy function is disabled when serial communication is active.
      􀂄 o3-02 Read Allowed Selection
      The digital operator has parameter COPY capabilities via built in non-volatile memory. The digital operator can READ all of
      the parameters in the Drive and store them for later WRITE back to the Drive or into a Drive with the same product code and
      software number. In order to read the parameter values and store them in the digital operator, select o3-02= “1: Enabled”. If
      you attempt to READ the data, which overwrites any previously stored data, without first setting o3-02= “1: Enabled”, you
      will get the following error:
      After setting o3-02= “1: Enabled”, it is possible to store parameter values in the digital operator by setting o3-01=1 (INV→OP
      READ).
      A successful READ of the parameter values will display:
      An error may occur while saving the parameter values to the digital operator’s memory. If an error is displayed, press any key
      to cancel the error display and return to parameter o3-01. Error displays and their meanings are covered in Chapter 6: Diagnostics
      and Troubleshooting of the E7 Users Manual (TM.E7.01). To COPY parameter values into a Drive, set o3-01= “2: OP-
      >INV WRITE”. During the writing of the parameter values into the Drive the digital operator will display:
      Setting Description
      0 COPY SELECT (factory default)
      1 INV→OP READ
      2 OP→INV WRITE
      3 OP↔INV VERIFY

      sana tariq There are too many variables that could affect the function of the drive. For instance we do not know if this application is utilizing the PID to control pressure or if it is a simple pressure sensor directly controlling the motor speed.

    Hi !
    I have bought a 4kw 17,5A Yaskawa V1000 for my 3phase, 12000-18000rpm, 200-300hz, 3.7 kw, 12A 2poles motor and when I am trying to perform AutoTuning, I get Error 11. How can I get past that? I have tried almost everything. Before that I didn't knew it was a 2 poles motor and it was set for 4 poles. It worked rough and the rotor was getting very hot but it was rotating. Now without autotuning performed when I hit the Run key it runs very nasty sounding like bearings not being greased at low speed and after a few seconds I get oL2 error. Thank you in advance !

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      The sounds of the motor should be much smoother after autotuning. Er11 indicates the torque reference is too high. The Yaskawa manual suggests increasing the acceleration time. This assumes the drive doesn't have any errors and every thing else is properly programmed. Where did you buy the drive?

    • @EliseiDesign
      @EliseiDesign 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      GalcoTV The drive was bought from an online site from UK(buying overseas would add other consistent taxes). I believe the settings are not properly done. After following your video about a couple of times, I realized I was introducing some wrong data. Not being educated for this field is hard knowing or translating the technical terms. I was using for base frequency and for base voltage some smaller values(thinking that base would be something that you will probably run every day), but then I saw you introduce the data from the nameplate for those. The motor runs fine now(I believe), but the rotor still gets very hot. There is one thing I don't understand, with A1-02 set to 00(V/f control) at Auto-Tuning I can't set the T1-01 to 00(Rotational Auto-Tuning). So I had to chose at A1-02 the 02 option(Open Loop Vector). Would this be the reason for the rotor to become hot? Thank you !

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      EliseiDesign That shouldn't be the case for the motor. Unless you have an encoder with feedback going back into the drive or you are using a permanent magnet motor the open loop vector selection should be fine. The few things I can suggest is looking at the current settings on the drive, checking the load, and recheck the size of the motor does not exceed the values of the drive. Is there a load on the motor? Also, Look at the nameplate of the motor... What letter is the insulation rating?

    • @EliseiDesign
      @EliseiDesign 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      GalcoTV Oh, so that is fine then. Good to know! There is no load on the motor and I don't see the insulation rating on the nameplate. The motor is 3.7 kw at 220v and 5.2kw at 330v(but my drive can only deliver up to 220v, so just 3.7 kw). The drive should be able to deliver what it needs. This is a link with an exact motor as mine picclick.com/Giordano-Colombo-Spindle-Motor-RV-902SB-CNC-Mill-190895091037.html and this is the exact driver CIMR-VCBA0018BAA Inverter V1000, 200 V, CT: 17,5 A / 4 kW, IP20 . I will check and recheck and again and again; it seems like I am getting closer. :D Thank you for helping me ! Elisei

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      EliseiDesign
      I found a motor similar to yours that is suggesting 15 amps at 220 volts (does the nameplate say 12 or 15?). Without seeing the motor itself it is a little difficult to help. Spindle motors can be a little tricky with drives and it might be a good idea to contact Yaskawa's tech support. Since we are based in North America, I'm afraid our tech support wouldn't be as beneficial to you.

    • @GalcoIndustrial

      Not necessarily. You will have to program your motor values first off, then the rest of parameters will be application dependent. Ok if you look at page 63 in the manual it will show you to connect your power supply common to PC, then P1 and P2 go to your load (indicator lamp or PLC input what ever you are using them for) and the +24 goes to the common of your load not the drive, ok?

      All drives tend to have a learning curve. I will admit that the advanced keypad has greater resolution on the ABB drives, but both do require knowing how to navigate. The Yaskawa keypad is also very responsive and easy to navigate, which is often underestimated when operating a drive through the keypad.

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The LO/RE Selection Key switches drive control and frequency setting between the operator (LOCAL) and an
      external source (REMOTE). The LO/RE key can only switch between LOCAL and REMOTE when the drive is stopped. To disable the LO/RE key to prohibit switching between
      LOCAL and REMOTE, set parameter o2-01 to 0.

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You must mean KEB Kinetic Energy Backup? There are 2 of these modes, and if you get OV trip you are probably using KEB1 which is based on a DECEL time regardless of load inertia. Try using KEB 2 mode (L2-01=2) that adjusts the decel time based on the bus voltage so that the DC bus voltage meets the level set in parameter L2-11.

    how can i reset a varispeed yaskawa v1000 on an extractor fun

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not sure if you have a fault you are looking to reset or you want the drive to reset to factory settings (out of the box settings). If you are looking for resetting the drive because of a fault condition, then you will need to find the fault and clear it before pushing the reset button located above the run button on the keypad. For example, if there is a short somewhere, you will need to fix it before resetting the drive.
      If you are looking to reset all of the parameters and start fresh then you will need to initialize the drive. Our techs and docs link on any of the V1000 products will allow you to download the technical catalog. On page 104-5 there are steps to initialize the drive with the A1-03 parameter. You can initialize the drive to whichever configuration you have.
      Warning: Initializing a drive will reset all parameters. Make sure you know what you are doing and what your motor settings are before you initialize the drive.

    What does stationary tune mean?

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Yaskawa drive allows you to "Auto-tune" your motor to it without any rotation of the motor shaft. It is not as precise as a rotational tune is but it may be adequate in some cases where disconnecting the motor from its load may not be possible. Allowing the drive to rotate the shaft without anything connected to it is the best way to Auto-tune where possible, ok?

    Please solutions over voltage alarm of acdrive

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually this means you have to increase your DECEL time, the drive is being overhauled by a large inertia load. If the process requires your rate of decal, you may need a brake resistor or check that the brake resistor you are using is ok (may have a fuse in series with it that opened or blew out) ok?

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +jack Searle SC means short circuit. Try turning off the power, wait a few minutes to make sure the capacitors have discharged, disconnect the motor then power up and run the drive. If the drive runs, you should check the wiring and motor for a short between the phases. If you still get the SC fault, you may have a bad drive.

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      mohammed asif First you will need to identify the problem. Uu1 is the fault for DC bus undervoltage and can be caused by input power phase loss, loose input terminal wiring, improper voltage coming in, power interruptions, worn internal circuitry, drive internal temperature, or problem with the charge indicator. Checking the quick start guide found on galco's website can outline how to correct each problem. You can find the link above in the description tab and then click on the V1000. Under the docs and links tab is the quick start guide. Fault Uu1 is found on page 138. I hope this helps.

      GalcoTV thanks for replying, please help me with one more doubt which is very important, we are running 3 phase motor for this drive, the motor specifications are (power)p1= 2.65 kw and p2=2.2kw, (voltage)=230-240 ^/ 400-415 Y, current in ampere is 8.3/4.8, frequency in hertz is 50 and (min-1) rpm is 2820 how many poles for this rpm?.Now please tell me what should be the reading for t1-01, t1-02, t1-03, t1-04, t1-05, t1-06, t1-07 i want to confirm my readings as i have put t1-01=3, t1-02=2.2kw, t1-03=230v, t1-04=4.8, t1-05=50, t1-06=2, t1=07=2820. Please help me with this table waiting for it thanks for co-operation i appreciate it.

      GalcoTV and if the air inside drive is too hot how to check the drive internal temperature and how to fix it?

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      mohammed asif I can see a couple of problems with the data you have provided. The voltage setting that you have for t1-03 is 230 volts. This would suggest that t1-02 is 2.65 kW and t1-04 is 8.3 A. If your incoming voltage is 400 and the motor is configured for this, then t1-02 and t1-04 is right and t1-03 needs to change.

    How to decided Motor pole according Rpm

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is an excellent question Narinder. For standard induction asynchronous AC motors it's easy. If rated 1750RPM @ 60Hz, it would be safe to say the synchronous RPM is 1800, this is a 4 pole motor. If rated 3450RPM @ 60Hz this is a 2 pole motor. Up in RPM = down in pole count. If rated 870RPM @ 60Hz synchronous RPM is 900 or an 8 pole motor, ok?

    please help us how to reset the Hbb Fault Alarm

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello,
      The HBB fault means that the terminal H1 is open or has no signal for the “safe disable” input.
      Terminals HC, H1, and H2 need to be linked if there is no external contact or signal source to keep the safe disable input satisfied.
      If the signal is present or the terminals are linked (jumped), then the drive is defective and needs repairing or replacing.
      Hope this helps!

      3 suggestions for you to try:
      Is it in local or remote mode? Make sure the LED is off on the LO/RE button.
      Then check for signal at the S1 or S2 input with respect to the SC terminal at the control inputs.
      If that’s all good, we still have to tell it how fast to go with speed command at analog input A1 with respect to AC.
      Let me know how this goes and we will try to help you further from there.

      To reset the drive and set parameters to their default values, end users need to use the “Initialize” command in the V1000’s A1 Menu. This is done at parameter A1-03. The value should be set to 2220, for factory two-wire control or 3330 for 3 wire control.
