    sir, may u tell me what is the use of photocoupler and pulse train input and outputs in v1000
    please

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Jaskaran Singh The photo coupler outputs can be programmed to turn on a transistor based on a status of the drive, such as DRIVE IS RUNNING or DRIVE IS AT ZERO SPEED for example. This output signal could be used to turn on a light or give a signal to a PLC for example.
      The pulse train input is used to control the output of the drive or as a feedback signal. This pulse train could come from an encoder that is turned by a different part of the machine for example, then the drive output could match the speed of the encoder.
      The pulse train output provides an high frequency output that that can be programmed to show a monitored value of the drive such as output frequency for example. This signal could be used to feed another V1000 drive’s pulse train input so that it will match the speed of the first drive.

    Hello Galco! Thank you for making this video's you've made a customer out of me! Im starting frim scratch on a milling machine. I need to put together a complete control panel from scratch. can you please make a video going over configuring it this vfd for milling machine application? Thanks!
    i ask because i just purchased this drive to replace a faulty drive on a mill at work. The settings for the old 90's yaskawa drive don't translate well to the updated drive. Stuff like acceleration time, deceleration time. Braking ect. Id hate to set my DC braking wrong and de-magnitize the expensive spindle induction motor. Maybe I can get an email to send a copy of the machine specifications for the drive settings to have help help translating them?

      It sounds like you have taken on an extensive project that would be well beyond the scope of our videos, so we probably won't be able to make a video for that kind of instruction, cuz it would have to be hours in length and as you may have noticed most of our video's are only 2 to 6 minutes in length. For that kind of help you would need to talk to 1 of our engineers or a product manager may also be able to help. Give us a call at 800-337-1720 and ask for our Yaskawa product manager.

      +ahmad rehman do you have have serial communications connected to the drive?
      Here is a link to the technical manual, www.galco.com/techdoc/yask/v1000_tc.pdf,
      if you go to page 255, it list possible causes for that alarm. On page 397 it
      shows how to perform a self-diagnostics test of the communications in the drive
      to confirm the drive is good.

      To correct motor rotation usually all you have to do is to swap any two motor leads.

      The inputs directly to the drive terminals are 24 volt. However a 110Vac option card is available if needed.

    sir can you please tell me how oc fault can be repaired ???

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Imran Aslam An OC fault is an overcurrent fault, this can be caused by many factors. This could include motor load issues, the motor itself, wiring, drive parameters or a defective drive. If the drive had been running fine for a period of time and no parameters have been changed, you can assume that it is not a parameter issue.
      If the drive is set-up to run in V/Hz mode, I would suggest disconnecting the motor from the drive and then start the drive. If the drive still faults out on OC, typically that means the drive is defective.
      If the drive doesn’t fault out, with the motor still disconnected, I would testthe motor and wiring to ground using a megger. This will check to see if anything is breaking over to ground with high voltage.
      If that tests good, I would try to run the motor with the it uncoupled from the load. Measure the current, using a true RMS or an analog current clamp, on the
      three output wires to make sure they are balanced and below the full load amps
      of the motor.
      If that looks good, reconnect load and re-measure the current to make sure it isstill below full load amps of the motor. If the drive faults and the current is
      below the full load amps of the motor the drive could be defective. If the
      current is above, then check the load on the motor.
      See the Yaskawa manual for more information on possible causes for an OC fault.

    excuse me, i need use the potentiometer to control a C.A motor whith yaskawa v1000. first I need to configure the parameters current, voltaje, RPM, Frecuency. in yaskawa and then operate in remote mode??? thanks

    • @GalcoIndustrial
      @GalcoIndustrial  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      OK Diego, go to parameter E1-01 and verify the line voltage set correctly for your application, E1-03 = 1 (by default for 60Hz motor) be sure you have correct V/F pattern selected, then go to E2-01 load motor rated current (FLA), E2-04 for number of poles, and E2-11 for motor rated power in KW. Now you want to run a rotational Auto-tune, just make sure your motor in not coupled to the machine before running autotune, ok?

    2:11. WARNING: To everyone using Remote Inputs with a Potentiometer to control their equipment with a Yaskawa VFD. Make sure you look at your Yaskawa VFD's Control Circuit Diagram (it is available in the first few pages of your Yaskawa VFD Manual) to find what Ohms level Potentiometer it NEEDS. If you use a Potentiometer with a different Ohm's level than what the Yaskawa VFD NEEDs, you could BURN YOUR MOTOR at motor start up.

    • @GalcoIndustrial
