I met Peter Brock of Shelby Daytona Coupe, C2 Corvette, and BRE fame at the Amelia Island Concours d'Eleagnce in Florida last year, and he gave me his work email, and every now and again, I send him something neat that I've done, usually something that is related to what he did.
I got a chance to meet Mr.Pratap Bose, at that time he was at Tata. I was also nervous. But I got over that fear and just did it, he was warm and welcoming. He also let me meet Mr.Aurelien and Mr. Cosimo, who are also well established designers. You are right when you say "what's the worst that could happen?".
I'm not in design school but I design cars for fun and I mostly use skill craft b3 pen because it's two ink pens and a 0.5 macanical pencil all in one I also use a graphgear 500 pencil for my secondary pencil

Because most of us send their portfolio/sketches to car designers and we all should have knowledge about that. We spent five days in Istanbul before boarding a cruise ship. Wonderful city and I did some sketches whine there. Our first stop took us to Ephesus which was breathtaking
