São João is -not- just Porto especific festival, it is celebrated in Lisbon and many other places. Porto is though, the most well known, wildest São João feast of Portugal. 🎉😊
Could you timestamp the moment that you're referring to? I believe he's talking about maintaining the investment money in the actual investment for a period of time. Meaning that you can't apply for a golden visa and after putting your application in, withdraw the money from the property (past offer) or fund (current offer). - Josh
I'm super interested in the golden Visa option. I think it's a great way to start working toward citizenship before retirement, and before moving to PT. Now that the nhr is gone, no need to be a tax resident with the golden Visa, I believe. I've seen investment schemes that will give you a return on your investment as well. All in all, if you have the money, it seems like a great option.
Hi Miranda, thanks for listening and the comment. We actually had a really interesting and exciting call with company that helps people with all sorts of golden visas as we're working on a new piece of content. They told us about 3 different GV products in Portugal that they have access to that range from €325k to €500k. The two that are less than €500k pay the interest up front. Kalie has more information on this if you'd like to email her at info@expatseverywhere.com - Josh & Kalie
Now that was good!! One of the most informative videos I have watched over the past 3 or 4 years on moving to Portugal/Cascais.
Wow, thank you! We're glad to have you write the Pod. - Josh
Thanks for this!!
Our pleasure! Thanks for listening. - Josh

That's exactly what we mean. It's a festival here but not every where unlike June 10th. - Josh
He keeps referring to "maintain that investment". Does that mean further cash outflow to maintain a fluctuating balance?
