I really enjoyed this episode! It was incredibly helpful and well-presented. One suggestion I have is to consider adding something about the Portuguese language requirement to the title. I think it could help more people find this great content more easily. Thanks for the valuable information you share!
Very informative Josh and Kalie, thanks! The program the Portuguese created, and the cost of this program, is very reasonable. To compare and contrast, I am working on Italian citizenship through marriage. With that process, you have to test at the B1 level, in a testing center, and if you fail one or more of the four sections, you have to repeat the entire test.
How do you verify that a certificate received from this company or any other private company will really be accepted by the government. I have only seen government schools on an approved list. I do know there is another organization that offers approved courses. But other than the company saying "qualifies for citizenship" on their websites, how can we verify that? It doesn't sound like the government maintains a list that includes all the private companies, etc. Thanks!
The company in this case isn't issuing the certificate but rather the certificate is issued by the partner university. It might take some digging on your part to find out if the issuing institution is one that's "allowed" to issue it. So you can either take them at face value and battle them in court for false advertising if it's not true or do a little more digging and probing. I hope that helps. - Josh
