You guys have a lot of great interviews and information on this channel. Thank you so much! I felt this one was particularly good and relatable to myself and my family. I work remotely, but my company is located in SLC. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences Renee!

PROFESSIONAL visa is attractive and very precious because proof of income streams is good enough for USD DOLLAR$ 6 000 per year for the freedom preparation temporary residency permits and Cuenca mountain region areas are away from the highest serious amount of crime in the cities of the Pacific Ocean Coast!
ALTERNATIVE is put investment into your own surviving private priority business in Ecuador, or something above USD DOLLAR$ 40 000 into deposit with the Government approved banking sector account in Ecuador!
Business entrepreneur have minimum amount of time periods to keep remaining in the country for maintaining the freedom preparation temporary residency permits!🏥

My family and I were in Porto last spring/summer. Dumb luck had it that while we were there we got assaulted by kids with plastic, squeaky hammers. But no worries, we fought back a good fight with our own plastic hammers. That is till some guy with a stinky onion thingy came at us. Best time ever. Already got plane tickets to go back this next summer. Good chance we’ll be scoping out some real estate while there. We’re retired but still have a son in high school, so can’t leave yet. We got labels all over the house with the idea we might learn a little bit more of the language for next time. Can’t wait to get back.

don't walk away, tell them you can't make it and wish them good luck, if anything changes, here's my contact. sold by owner (próprio ao próprio) is how old people (like my parents) prefer to do business, proper agencies make it easier (and faster).

I purchased an T2 with asking price 180k and ofered 172k and it was accepted, so I would say, in cities where is a lot of demand less than 5% from asking price begins to be dificult, I live in the area of sintra. 10% I know it would never got the house...but this is when the house is ok with no repairs to do, of course if the house is not 100% maybe there is more room to have a discounted price, and then the more far away from big cities where demand is scarce then I believe you can have biguer negoctiations, but 15 to 25% is hard to believe. But I bet in some very expensive areas prices where very high because foreigners tend to buy the asking price and so the market went way up...now I dont think its going up at least the demand is not so high has it was one year ago...prices still hang but I bet you can negociate favourably now

Portugal needs more people like you.
    Enjoy….and be happy…..
I think that Portugal is the most beautiful country in the world.
Small, but it offers beauty in every region.
And the people in general are great people.

"Everything" seems like serious hyperbole. We have known some Americans that have paid asking price or above, while others have refused like Renee. Americans have been such a small part of the market here. We also must acknowledge the fact that sellers are asking crazy prices too. We were offered the building adjacent to the one we bought. It's a ground floor and basement of no more than 100m2 area. They wanted €600,000 and it was a complete gut job. We said, "no". - Josh
