The whole REDAVAC song is the complete reverse, note for note, in all instruments (and vocals) of the song CAVADER (with the exception of drums and lyrics). It’s an incredible achievement.
If you play cadaver in reverse as revadac, the note and the length of the lyrics still remain its actually impressive
Had the massive pleasure of seeing these guys live last year. Absolutely incredible and i got to hang out with the drummer Fumiya, who is a hell of a nice guy. If you ever get a chance to see them live, drop whatever you are doing and go. Excellent band
What I wouldn't give to go to Japan and see them live
Fun fact about Shiren (the guitarist with the red guitar in this video). He was one of the initial members of the Kami Band (the band behind Babymetal). He and Fuki (the vocalist) were the founders of Unlucky Morpheus. He also provides male vocals. On several songs, his vocals are of the screaming/growling variety. He has tendinitis in his arm, so he sometimes needs to take a break from playing guitar in live shows, and only does vocals on some songs. Jill (the violin player) is featured more prominently in some of Unlucky Morpheus's other songs. There are also some songs were she does violin covers of other songs with the drummer, bass player, and one of the guitar players from Unlucky Morpheus. (They call this subset of Unlucky Morpheus Quadratum). You recently reacted to Eddie Van Halen's Eruption guitar solo. Eruption is one of the songs that Jill does a violin cover for.

The song came about due to the lead guitarist, Shiren, read in a newspaper about a company in Switzerland, that was turning peoples ashes in to diamonds, which is what Cadaver is about. Revadac is about someone that wanted to turn the diamond, of someone they cared about back in to a person.
So the whole song is about the reverse of the other, not only meaning, but musically.
You want to know more about the band, well here we go.
Unlucky Morpheus a band that was 8 years in the making, the band was started as a side project between the singer Fuki and Shiren (guitar). They started with metal versions of a popular Japanese game. They released a few albums and fans wanted to see them live, so they got some friends to help them out live. These concerts were also auditions for other band members, if they fitted in with the sound Shiren wanted in the band, after a few show he'd as if they wanted to join. The only one that didn't do this was Jill, as soon as Shiren her her play, he knew it was a sound he wanted in the band. Jill had played in a few rock/metal bands up to this point.
Fuki is the only member of the band that has not had any training, she copied her mothers style of singing.
Most of the band went to MI Tokyo (Musicians Institute), that is were Shrien and Ogawa met 1st.
Jill graduated Tokyo University of the Arts, playing violin, which is the most prestigious art school in Japan. Jill claims she can hear pitch perfect, due to the way she was trained at a young age. When she was 1st taught to play, it was by ear and not sheet music, and she can almost play anything on the violin that you can play on a guitar, inc pinch notes. Jill maybe the most popular member of the band, next to Fuki.
Ogawa is really a jazz bassist, and was the protégé of Fujioka Mikio, who you may know from Babymetals Kami Band. And still plays in a popular Jazz band.
Shiren The band's leader and co-founder. Guitars, Harsh vocals, Bass, Keyboards, Piano, Programming, Drums, Percussion, Arrangement, Composition, and various other instruments, and writes all the music and some of the lyrics. He was also in the 1st Kami band at Legend i. He is suffering from tendonitis of the wrist, so has to rest it at times when playing live, which is when Jill will take over his guitar parts on violin.
Jinya youngest member of the band in age, and was found by Fuki, who told Shiren to check out.
Fumiya, drummer and just a beast behind the drum kit.
Fuki is just a force of nature, she is a workaholic, in18 years she has be involved in around 100 releases, mostly full albums. Apart from UM she is also the singer in a rock band called Doll$boxx another side project that is between her and Gacharic Spin (a all female rock/funk band). She also has her own solo project, as well asd being a guest vocalist in many other bands. She used to be in a band called Light Bringer, who are in hiatus. She also does voice acting, she used to run a radio show, she has a kanji kentai level 1 degree, and she is a Sugino fashion college costume creation graduate, she makes some of the costumes she and the band wear and she has also done some modling work.
All the members of the band used to be in other bands, as UM were a side project, but after 2016 the band became more full time, and did their 1st tour of Japan in 2017. They released their 1st metal album of there own work in 2014. Black Pentagram was the 1st video they released, and yes Jill seems to be down in the mix, something they tend not to do now, down to her popularity with the fans, they even released an album of instrumental covers in which, according to Fuki, the violin is the vocals. Some of the members still are in other bands, but tend to look on UM as their main band.
They have played outside Japan once, which was at a festival in London, which is where I got to see and met them. Due to the popularity overseas they have said they want to do a world tour some day, when events let them. They are a band that just loves to play and play together, you can tell that they are really good friends by the way they interact with each other on stage, and you get the feeling that they would still play, if there was only 1 man and his dog turn up and still give everything.
They are also a truly independent band, they have their own label, produce everything, self promote, book tours, t-shirt design, everything is done by the band themselves, mainly Shiren and Fuki, and that is the reason why this great, overly talented band are not bigger than they are.

Great reaction! This band actually started as a project of Fuki, the singer and the guitarist with the red guitar and they started as a band playing covers and music for anime and such and then it evolved into a full blown band. The violinist, (Jill) is the most recent addition ( she plays with them for years at this point) and they are immensely proud of her.

This is a Japanese Visual Kei band！ Japan has a wonderful Visual-kei genre that cannot be explained by metal or rock. It began with Xjapan.

This band is more likely a symphonic metal genre from Japan..for this song, the Revadac is the backward song of Cadaver..

Visual kei band
The second song reverses the sequence of notes in the first song. The lyrics are sung in the first song about wanting to turn back time.

I know what you mean when it comes to learning about the Japanese rock and metal scenes. I started down the rabbit hole a little over two years ago (end of Dec. 2019) when BANDMAID popped up into my recommends, and it turns out Japan has almost been keeping all this amazing music a secret for decades! I'm a big old anime fan, too (since at least 1979, when "Starblazers"/Space Battleship Yamato aired here in Canada), but I had no idea. The silver lining is that there's so much to discover at this point! xD

Cadaver in English means a dead body that is ready for dissection. Like the band's name, their songs are morbid and dark in nature.

Well, Unlucky Morpheus is really just a 'cover' name (which everybody knows them by). The real name of this band is Ankimo, and has been since 2008. BTW - In Japanese Ankimo means 'Monkfish liver' Talent and creativity off the charts . . . and also JILL!

It's one song played in two ways. In REVADAC, vocal, guitars and violin notes are the same from CADAVER, but reversed.
In CADAVER she sings as someone who is dying and wondering about the afterlife. Fuki came with this lyrics because there was some news about people turning ashes from their loved ones into jewels (diamonds I guess, that's why they show a diamond in the MV) at the time. In REVADAC, they're playing with fantasy. She sings as someone who had a beloved one turned into diamond and wants to use it to defy destiny and even God to bring this person back to life.
They have many good songs to react to. "Angreifer" or "Dignity of Spirit" official live videos or the MVs for "Knight of Sword", "Unending Sorceress" or "Takiyasha Hime" are all great choices in my opinion.

Maybe everybody knows but for those who don't, CADAVER not only is a spanish word that means corpse, but REDAVAC is also CADAVER spelled backwards so it makes sense that musically the song can also be played backwards, I wonder if they used palindromes for the lyrics to make sense when pronounced backwards, anyways... pretty cool huh?
