From a Kentucky fan, Chris Lofton was such a beast. I got to see my town's team play against him, Paris vs Mason County. We always gave him a good game. But he was unconcious from three. That man could hit any shot he wanted to.
I was in my junior year at UT when this game took place...watched it at a friend's house who lived across the river just past the Henley St Bridge. I was so freakin' baked lolol.

This game needs to be happening every year. We that love both teams looked forward to that sooo much. Then they just erased it from the schedule. WTH? Put it back! Football, Mens Basketball, and Lady's Basketball. Knaah Mean?
The thing I remember most about that game, was how our big men really stepped up to carry the team, when the guards were having an awful game. Smith and Chism were so clutch, along with the hustle of JP Prince.
If they're hitting their shots, nobody can beat us. Other than that, Fulky has to wake up. He's fallen off like he's depressed or something. Triple J (James Jordan) needs to warm up. If Johnson, Springer, Bailey, and Trip J are hitting, it can be a great March. Hopefully Barnes can do better this time with his strategy.

Non conference schedule that year included wins @Xavier(made Sweet 16), @Gonzaga (made NCAA), Ohio State, and a loss to Texas (made The Elite Eight) in the Legends Classic. The schedule also included a very tough road game @Chattanooga, which was probably one of the biggest games in Chattanooga basketball history to be able to host Tennessee in a season like that where Tennessee had a ton of hype in the off season and lived up to it throughout the year. Say what you will about Pearl, but scheduling was NEVER an issue with him. Immediately when he got to Tennessee he started scheduling games that would be good for both exposure and the RPI/NCAA resume. He was great at setting up both.
I'll never forget Tennessee blocking Memphis from getting to the floor, it was epic, i know Bruce orchestrated that troll move, that moment set the pace for the game, Memphis was denied entry into their own arena and lost. GO Vols🤜🏾👁️🤛🏾
It's not like memphis won the championship so I guess that game didn't really matter either, if they could make free throws you would have an argument.

Vols are special this year!! I watched Gonzaga throttle Iowa, they are crazy good along with Baylor but the Vols are a special team this year.
