@@cjtizvideo I agree with you. Also this team was low key deep. Douglas Roberts was considered their best player before Rose came into his own. DR led the team in scoring that year. He was the number one option
@@cjtizvideo funny enough in his math hoffa interview he said pretty much the same thing he said cal would yell at him and sub him out everytime he messed up he said it made him wanna leave but his brother made him stay the backup would come in a lot cuz he was like a junior and knew the system and did everything cal wanted him to do within the system
Memphis schedule was lit asf that year Georgetown, Oklahoma, Gonzaga, USC, Richmond, Tennessee etc. Penny is trying to bring it back with the tough schedule this year
Huh. The way you worded that were you trying to say something different?Because it seems like you were saying that derek rose is the second most explosive player in memphis state when he never went to memphis state lol.
Facts wish I could’ve watched Rose & Westbrook in college because at that time it was entertaining now men’s college basketball gets overshadowed by Women’s college basketball
Kansas was a juggernaut that year. D Rose should have capitalize on that free because Kansas didn't allow you to make mistakes. I loved the games they had against Beasley and Kansas st. that year. Great year of college basketball. More balanced year in talent than the previous year. You had a freshman Beasley, Rose, Griffin and E. Gordon and Mayo killing it. You also had Kevin love and that deep UCLA team. Everyone was crazy about the previous season with Oden, Durant, and those boys at Florida but I think this season was better
That’s why you gotta hit your free throws. Rose was quiet for most of that game and really turned it on in the final mins and in OT. He hit a crazy bank shot that was changed from 3 to 2 pts after review, that took Memphis from being up 1 to a tie game or something like that. Rose missed critical free throws that would have won the game as well. One of the best NCAA finals games in the last 20 years for sure
That’s usually how it goes man, zone defense on a short ass 3 pt line means super clogged lanes. You literally gotta swing the ball until you find a opening. It must be tough being a HS star dealing with that shit knowing how good you are lol
I wouldn't say easier. I would say in NBA he wasn't as restricted. Sometimes college basketball is over-coached. Plus he was freshman. CDR was a upperclassmen and considered the guy. He led the team in scoring
Rose came out of nowhere on a already solid team and took college by storm. His one year was incredible! The whole year the team the whole year couldn’t hit their free throws and eventually killed then in the Champion game or they would have won the Tourney. What was it.. 4-5 ft missed you for the OT
He’s not nearly as destructive here as he would be during his prime with the bulls. Nonetheless you can definitely see and appreciate him.
College doesn't always let you be yourself. You gotta play in that system.

College totally different. A lot of zone d

And it got more lit in March Madness.
D.Rose probably the fastest PG ever while running with the rock
Yes Indeed He Was
He made everyone look slow in a playoff game 2011 vs the hawks. Looked unreal in person
He was the fastest player on the court in his youth.
Easily
Still one of the fastest...in spurts!
Facts you can tell by how the defense just reaches at him instead of trying to stay in front of him
Clearly.
I Hope Bulls draft him.
Yeah
@@Alex-bq8qd Hope his knees dont give out, seems like an MVP caliber player.
😂😂 y’all funny
They should draft Russell westbrook
I made him 99 everything on NBA2K

Second most electrifying player in Memphis State university history after Penny
