daniel zychniewicz i mean the only thing that Nissan/Datsun had going for it was heritage, and they’ve been sleeping behind the wheel (all puns intended) in the past decade. The Z line has been long overdue for a next gen Z, they abandoned the IDX project, have been ignoring the ZX and Silvia lineups, and stepped away from the Skyline spec. They need to think of something fast, especially with the Corvette C8 mid-engine design coming out soon. LoL
With the GTR, it’s not so much exotic, let alone anything worth over $100k. If it wants to price it on an exotic platform, Nissan better step up a major overhaul of a redesign for it.

I love the GTR, but for that price it needs at least 700hp and some weight reduction. However; it really needs a major refresh from top to bottom, but I don't think Nissan has the capital to do R&D to improve it.
Not everything is about how much power something produces. This car debuted with less than 500 Hoursepower yet it had the 0-60 to rival 1200HP hypercars by the likes of Buggati and Koenigsegg.
if want it, Work hard. Save money. and don't be afraid to change up the way you think. you can blame the world or suit up and shut up and get after it. don't let this flashy car be your motivation. this will always be there.
Wow, is it me or are overpriced cars getting way more overpriced? I don't care what's been added/taken away, this car is not worth the $212k asking price. In all honesty, I'm not sure it's even a $175k car, or even $155k car. Well, I guess a fool and his money are soon separated. So, Nissan put all their R&D money in this car and left others to linger. The asking price supports this hypothesis. Nissan and priorities do not go in the same sentence. So glad our 04 pathfinder we had for 13 yrs was/will be our last Nissan.
Do you have any idea how much those tires, those rims and those Brembo Carbon Ceramic brakes cost? Even a set of the cheapest 4pot piston calipers still goes for $3000 brand new and not even Carbon Ceramic. I bet those brakes alone are at least $10,000+
@@kuvyoghmoobamelica6883 ...so we are up to 13k. But you are talking new replacement costs. Yes, Nissan is supposed to make money on cars they sell, and limited versions sell for higher; I get that. @@K03sport I think its worth 200k. Every thing on the car is race spec from the original GT car especially the turbos. I'm just saying, the extra money comes from lighter wheels, better brakes, better aerodynamic carbon fiber parts.

Lol. Just for the people that think this car is overpriced. Consider the Lexus LFA is $295k and is a joke to this GTR Nismo in ALL aspects of dynamic performamce. If anyone can show how the LFA performs better, feel free to comment and say how.
Wow, comparing a 2020 Nismo to a 2013 LFA. Wow you know a lot about cars. Also the LFA has a higher price because a limited amount was made at only 500 models. You are paying for the exclusivity also that LFA doesnt even have DCT so the shifts are slower than the 6 speed DCT of the Nissan. Also this car is pretty overpriced, it has been 10+ years on this current chassis and most of the changes are performances with some minor visual changes yet the prices are climbing exponentially. Im a GT-R fan since i was 10 but this car is not the holy grail, perfect, flawless car on the planet. Also have you not heard that sound from the N/A V10 from the LFA yet? Yahama partnered with Toyota to make probably the best sounding car ever IMO.
@@MrHalowars123 and to think. The R35 went into production 6 years before the LFA. I guess you didnt know the R35 went into production in 2007. So cry me a river about which car is older. Thats a lame excuse.
@@MrHalowars123 Im more into price for performance and the GTR has ALWAYS been and WILL always be a better value than the LFA. The GTR even has back seats(more suited for children) which the LFA doesnt. The Yahama V10 does sound nice at high revs but thats all the LFA has going for it really.
Conrad Sealy i know the GT-R is older in terms of start of production but that LFA was a hidden project and wasnt even revealed to the public until closer to 2011/2012. Plus Toyota sold that car at a heavy lost because they had spent almost 10 years just for R&D. Yes i know the GT-R is better in performance in about every way but like i said, you pay that higher premium for the LFA for the exclusivity. You dont get that with the GT-R because there is well more than 500 models that exist today. You really brought up about back seats lol. Regardless I like them both but the LFA is a luxury coupe while the GT-R is a sports car with track car capabilities. At the end of the day we are comparing oranges to apples.

agrees. and actually have real prestige. i mean the gtr has prestige but not in the same way mclaren does.
daniel zychniewicz i mean the only thing that Nissan/Datsun had going for it was heritage, and they’ve been sleeping behind the wheel (all puns intended) in the past decade.
@@tovopro agreed 100% way overpriced. even moreso then the new nsx old Z cars ftw.
How long will they be building that old nissan ?
Some of the interior pieces look like they’re from a 2008 altima, like those flip up and down switches near the shift lever 😂
M. B. Those are 5k each 🤣
2021 nissan GTR nismo 390 hp with a tune in my part of the woods in S.C and another 160 hp from what I'm doing now and I'll let you know when it's done with 900 hp when it's over on this go around!!!
That looks awesome! 😎😎👍👍👍👑👑 this version is much lighter. Good job! 👍
It is not much lighter.Bullshit.It s a rip off
I love the GTR, but for that price it needs at least 700hp and some weight reduction. However; it really needs a major refresh from top to bottom, but I don't think Nissan has the capital to do R&D to improve it.
vr38's can handle 800hp+ FBO. just switching to e85, upgraded exhaust and a flash tune is enough to get u over 700.
Nissan needed a Sports Car, so I engineered the Nismo - Niskam like a Porche.
Are you trying to say you are the designer you wish
@@jimbarrows4069 There are signs Z for Zeus - Nikola Tesla, and Nismo for Niskam - Mi'kmaq word for God.
TBH this nismo GTR is more of a collector's item than anything.
Way over priced. For that money it should at least be pushing 1000hp.
Or more lmao
Not everything is about how much power something produces. This car debuted with less than 500 Hoursepower yet it had the 0-60 to rival 1200HP hypercars by the likes of Buggati and Koenigsegg.
Nissan GT-R Nismo vs Alfa Romeo GTAm. What do you think?
This car shouldn't be even worth more than 130k....WTFFFFFF
Honestly I love how there is still a ton of room inside the engine bay.
My dream car💔😔💙
I love this car like my PARENT💙
if want it, Work hard. Save money. and don't be afraid to change up the way you think. you can blame the world or suit up and shut up and get after it. don't let this flashy car be your motivation. this will always be there.
Way to much for a Nissan GTR no matter what is in it..
I'm pretty sure the keyfob still looks the same as the Nissan Altima. ...😁
Dan Ordel 🤣
What’s the name of that background track??
Wow, is it me or are overpriced cars getting way more overpriced? I don't care what's been added/taken away, this car is not worth the $212k asking price. In all honesty, I'm not sure it's even a $175k car, or even $155k car. Well, I guess a fool and his money are soon separated.
So, Nissan put all their R&D money in this car and left others to linger. The asking price supports this hypothesis. Nissan and priorities do not go in the same sentence.
So glad our 04 pathfinder we had for 13 yrs was/will be our last Nissan.
$150k for this Nissan would be a perfect price! Stop bitching. You can't even afford one either way.
My point is this is not a $200k regardless of what the sticker says or the MFGR thinks it is worth. Of that 212k, how much of it is "profit". It is in some hat similar to the Demon/Red Eye; $80k+ gets you the same basic, cheap Challenger interior but in a faster car which is sad.
@@davidortiz7930 ...you are absolutely correct, but I can still voice my disagreement/opinion with the asking price. Regardless of the tweeks made to the car, $212k is too much even for this NISMO GT-R. I guess they are playing off the "racecar" parts excuse. Innovation that excites...
@@K03sport I think its worth 200k. Every thing on the car is race spec from the original GT car especially the turbos. I'm just saying, the extra money comes from lighter wheels, better brakes, better aerodynamic carbon fiber parts.
Ok why does the nismo look 10 x better with the carbon vents on the front fenders
Hasn’t changed but they charged more wow ok.
From 2009-2020 baby
$50,000 C8 Corvette for the Win!!!
... You mean $60k+ C8. The Supra is 50-55k.
Corvette c8 parts are made in mexico
No c8 vette will be 60k. They'll go for a lot more than that. Chevy got y'all fooled with that price tag LOL
How are those racecar parts?
$212,000 for a Nissan!!!!
Get a merc AMG GT and have some quality in your life.
💯 Someone in nissan headquarters is on some serious drugs
What about the r34 z tune
I will pay 210k for a R34 remake 🤷🤷🤷
Kao Lee well said
I'm really impressed by this comment section. Didn't know that this many people can afford this car LOL...
This car is worth every penny IMO
600HP for 212K$?? LOL it is a BIG JOKE 🤣🤣😂
MK Performance BMW charges 100k for 450hp LOL
GTR has never been about just hp. Likely competes with 750k cars on track
it got lots of handling upgrades. especially carbon ceramic upgrades which made the price rise even more. if you’re too dumb to understand how cars work. don’t make lame ass statements. there is also a reason why the GT2RS is faster than the SVJ. CAR BALANCE!!!
MK Performance cars aren’t just about hp, fucking idiot.
Pretty sure the nismo has 750 but ok
nismo edition if fully seem welded inside, before it's built up, giving a flatter stance & less flexing over uneven roads etc
Or u could just buy a Ford Taurus show for 20 grand then put 10 k in upgrades and your just as fast
Don't be stupid. A Ford Taurus being used in a similar alternative to a GTR 🤣🤣🤣
Ashley Edwards it may not look as good but u literally can
why it has much lower torque?
If we’re just talking price I’d rather get an R8.
Dyllon London have you even driven the gtr or the r8? The gtr is more exciting in terms of driving dynamics
@@G0ddEityawesome and you can seat 4 xtra folks on the GTR😂
Mr. NiceGuy yes it is far better daily driver due to its practicality too
G0ddEity and have you?
Daniele Lim if I didn’t, how would I know the difference? The R8 is a very subdued version of the huracan and it does nothing for me at high speeds. The gtr on the other hand, although feels a bit heavier, feels lighter and more nimble and exciting as the speed goes up and it can handle corners with ease
The GTR biggest strength was the price tag for a damned fast car. For less money you can buy a ZR1 2019 with 766 hp and 969 torque. And it looks way better.
212k?....hahahaha.....C'mon on nissan, the GTR hasn't been redesigned in over 10yrs now.....
.. Like the majority of their lineup. Sad from a company whose ad slogan is "innovation that excites". One has to ask, what innovation?
@@K03sport .....exactly.....most people wouldnt recognize which keyfob is the Nissan Altima or the GTR.....a 200k+ so called super car has the same interior (almost) with a 30k maxima...
@@Bruce.-Wayne... Innovation goes beyond keyfobs and exterior styling. The point is they tout innovation, but fail to innovate their model line. Ok, the VC engine pretty innovative, but it isn't used across the board. They have cars/trucks lingering on 10yo chassies, they keep adding power to their most expensive car while the rest of them go stale. They use an inferior cvt and the list goes on and on... Again, where's the innovation?
@@K03sport ....I own a 2018 maxima and I had the chance to look at a GTR at the dealership and seeing how outdated this GTR since its introduction.....Nissan keep making refresh of the model but never a redesign.....that's laziness...., the Porsche 911 brand is on their 3rd redesign if I'm not mistaken, but nissan is still refreshing their 10yr old chassis over and over again
212K? Dam I guess I won’t be investing 75 grand into modifications n such info when I get mine, dam😭
@@MrHalowars123 imagine how much a LFA would cost today. Even the 2012 Basic model GTR beat up on the LFA.
You just have to love the GTR for what it is.
Update the friggin platform already. You’ve been flogging this since before SJW’s even existed.
Rather get something older like a 2016 or cheaper and tune it and mod it. The GTR is my dream car and if I keep focusing in the right path, I know for sure I will get it one day.
$212K for a car that's essentially over a decade old... ridiculous... Come on Nissan, come out with a new Z or 240sx.
