You're not the only one that cried to Holley for 6L trans support.. I was like; "it's 2023 FFS, why can't I have a damn 6 speed auto controlled by My Terminator X ?"
Unrelated to this video... but have you looked into those 19in brushless spal fans that came on 2016 and up SS Camaros. They have two big power wires and then a PWM signal wire for the ECU, the brushless controller is built in, they are like 800W and you can find them cheap at the junkyard... would be a cool video. I know you hate it when things overheat
I used that nylon fuel line to connect my Walbro to my sender. No clamps, no leaks. Not the easiest or most forgiving stuff to work with, but so far so good!
Not sure about hf air hammers but they could be great.. I have never had a chance to test one. But I have a Chicago pneumatic cp714 the little one(717) is the big daddy. But the small one has a super verbal trigger. Highly recommend if you do have a little money to blow on one
Have at beating the trans tunnel into submission but that trans is bigger than you think. We did one on a g-body and ended up cutting the tunnel out. we weren’t even worried about tucking it up because the car was on 24s so ground clearance wasn’t an issue. It’s not that it’s THAT big it’s just how large it is allllll the way down the trans.
With the surge tank mounted at the rear, would it make any sense to weld a section of a steel oil pan to the tank and put pump pickups at the bottom of the sump instead of using a separate surge tank?
Are you PWM'ing the pumps at the same time or you're going to stage them? Does that model pump have internal check valves? (Not the 044) Once you use fuel injection hose clamps, you won't use the worm ones anymore. They clamp better and don't cut the hose as you tighten them.
Do you run just the 100 micron filter inline before the fuel rails? Seen lots of other people who say you need a 10 micron. Or are they just trying to sell us their products?
Quality looking unit. I am building a 4th gen Fbody and the fuel tanks are hard to work with on those. Also, since there is no trunk running a fuel cell is a bit sketchy.
I wholeheartedly believe your 6l80 will do fine with a power adder using the holley control. The pcs was junk. Let me know if you want to borrow my homework for the virtual torque table and tm table.
Unless u have a nascar this over kill 450 is 750 hp 2 1500 plus your stock fuel pump which normally is around 400-600 that’s already 2100 who tf is pushing 2100hp+ on the road to add an extra 3rd one is just a waste

Man that filter is like the filter she told you not to worry about
When your brain fires and makes you walk around the car for no reason 🤣. I can relate.
That surge tank is great. It uses space much more effectively than the radium unit.
Good to see you cranking out videos again I miss you. cranking out is a phrase that I am using very loosely anyway good to see you again dude
I use PEX clamps for my rubber fuel lines. No chance of them backing off or getting loose.
Don't give me the credit, Chris built that one. LOL
The knowledge you drop is priceless man. Appreciate it more than you know
Air hammer on the tunnel is mint... quick work of the soft areas.
Highly recommend the chief long barrel air hammer from HF. It's a beast
1. Is the hose e85 rated?
2. Better to use Fuel Injection clamps.
whoa now... we have to keep some things sloppy still
Let's be real he's going to pull all that out and change things long before that fuel line breaks down anyway.. love the head porting videos btw!
I like the strapping point on the fuel cell
I can’t wait to see the fuel system come together. I love plumbing cars

I could have missed it, but you’re going to use a 10 micron before injectors, not a 100 right?
Yes
Super fancy

Ahhhh... This had double the minimum required amount of "ramble".
It was a good Monday. 😆

I’ve done a 5.3 and 6l80 in a Ltd fox previously it’s not bad
@@SloppyMechanics doh, I’ll go back under my rock now. 😅👍

Hey Matt, where did you find that fuel tank, looking to do the same setup on my fox body. Thanks a lot

Isn't it supposed to be 10 micron after the pump?
Thanks for the update!

I've got the chief air hammer from harbor freight, it's the truth
Well dang, it's cool to see you say it's "your dream" to use the 6l80. I hope my 6l90 works when I get it running lol.
Oh my god, I haven't looked in so long now Holley supports my trans??? Oh my god I need to sell everything I own of value.
Ah the classic, tappy tap tap.
Any reason to not put the surge tank under the hood?
Ever state your goals for this fancy mechanic build?
Link for fuel filter?

What's the advantage to all this complexity versus just clamping 2 or 3 walbros on your stock pickup?
No starvation issues all the way down to E

Where is that solid state relay from
I'd like to know also.
I make that relay. 😊
Uh oh, F7 is going Shiny Boi!!!!
Watching
Whose pwm relay is that?
I make it 😊
Damnit Bobby
Sweet thingamajig.
I like shiny parts
B/A? You Stole That Frome me. My Attourneys will be in touch with you Very Soon.
