One of my favorite movie moments is Viggo talking to Aurelio about him hitting his son. You know Viggo is about to tell Aurelio how he's going to torture him to he begs for death but when he here's why he hit his son all the anger is replaced by fear. "Viggo Tarasov: I heard you struck my son. Aurelio: Yes, sir, I did. Viggo Tarasov: And may I ask why? Aurelio: Yeah, well, because he stole John Wick's car, sir, and, uh, killed his dog. Viggo Tarasov: [pause] Oh."
What most people miss was John lets his emotions take over in the club and spared Ioseph even though he had a clear shot because he wanted him to suffer. That decision cost him his chance at vengeance. The second time he doesn’t waste time because he wants to make sure he gets the job done this time. Before he was retired John, at this point he’s accepted he’s back.
Yea the moment of eye contact while shooting the other guy was meant to inspire fear, but it ended up costing more than it was worth so when he caught him again the guy shot was to inflict pain and immobilize so he could close in and finish while still satisfying the need for vengeance lol. Lesson learned there
The comment about this being a difficult film because of the loss in real life of Reeves' wife is an excellent one. Although it was his girlfriend, not wife and they had previously lost a child too. I work in the Entertainment Industry here in London and often deal with press, chaperone musicians and actors to concerts, TV and radio interviews and film premieres to make sure they arrive on time and safely. I distinctly remember an interview on morning TV here for the BBC to promote this movie and the female journalist (I'm not going to give her the publicity of naming her), immediately went for the throat and asked him exactly that - several times. She knew full well that there were topics not to be broached but did it anyway and kept doing it throughout the interview. He handled it brilliantly, calmly and finally just told her that he was here to answer questions about the film, nothing else. He had already answered her a couple of times - really very personal and painful details about grief and she just kept pushing. Absolutely disgraceful but she's known for it, now. We wanted to get in there and yank him from live TV but he didn't leave. He wasn't rattled, so you can't really initiate such a move. He was quite peturbed afterwards though. Who wouldn't be? It was nothing but an ambush - for no good reason. We now ensure that no big name interviews are conducted by that journalist. 😡🇬🇧
I find that people who do that do not have the talent nor professionalism to be a journalist this is why they need to go to such lengths to behave in such a detestable manner because they lack substance. “Journalist” like that do not belong in the industry they put a stain on the name while giving others who have integrity a not so good reputation. I cringe at their behavior I do wonder if they enjoy embarrassing themselves and their families.
@@Tara20052Well said. I can't tell you how angry I was because it just came from nowhere and part of my role is to prevent things like that from happening. Everyone was blindsided and as I say she's still behaving that way. No problem though, sooner or later she's going to run into a celebrity without such fortitude who will tear her apart - live television or not 😂
This reminds me how they handled Liam Nesson after his wife passed it was obvious he wasn’t handling it well at the time but didn’t seem like many journalist cared he was obviously grieving and when your a big movie star you definitely can’t do it in peace or private. It’s sad some just don’t understand the meaning of boundaries I understand your a journalist so getting the story is the priority but they honestly don’t think of others mental health I can’t imagine being asked a question over and over after I’ve made it clear I don’t want to talk about it especially if it was about a loved one who passed.
I mean, that's what journalism *actually* is. Asking the hard questions. Sure there's a point where you should stop and it's your job as a journalist to read your guest and stop when you're causing them pain and grief, but I'd rather have every interview, especially political ones, happen like you described this one instead of everything being a bunch of softball questions that the person has already been provided ahead of time so they know exactly what the PR way of answering is.
Now that the movies with John at his top badass form I’d honestly love to see a new trilogy of him just starting in the game learning from all his mentors fighting styles and making his friends along the way.
You don't fuck with a man's : family/wife/love interest; his car & lastly, his dog. So yeah, the best vengeance film ever. Keanu's 2nd iconic role - the franchise is solid overall - this is the best IMO.
I get people questioning if their reaction is genuine and how they haven't seen John Wick in the past 10 years; but you'd be surprised how many people haven't watched John Wick yet, I know a few myself. Recently a colleague at work surprised me when he said he hasn't seen a single Lord of the Rings movie (23 years since Fellowship came out); one of my Ex hadn't watched a single Harry Potter movie when I first met her; I myself haven't watched Avatar till this day.
Your journey has just begun. Three more in the can and another in progress. So far every single one has been absolutely amazing. - There is conjecture by a lot of long time viewers that it was likely that John's wife was a veterinarian. She gave him a dog. There are any number of things she could have given. Like she gave him the car!! When he's reading the card from her she mentions the car!! At the end John knew where he could get what he needed to fix his wounds. As he and the new dog are walking away they are walking where John's wife collapsed. - Great reactions. As we say in Texas; y'all be safe.
When he took the knife and stabbed himself at the last fight, he stabbed himself where he already had an injury so there wouldn't be much more damage than was already there, and it gave him the advantage.
The actor Viggo tells to "task a crew" is the Allstate commercial guy (Dean Winters). Hey, give John a break, he actually let the door guy go home. Now Kristen understands some of the opening credits of Deadpool 2.
Killing the dog was narrative brilliance! It ensures that our protagonist can do ANYTHING, no matter how brutal, and, the audience will still root for him.
This movie is a perfect example of how to make anyone who watches your movie to not care how much violence and pain the protagonist inflicts. I have yet to see anyone react to it and say, wow John needs to calm down the killing (or something to that nature).
11:40 That's a perfect approach to crafting a powerful character. First, you establish a deeply likable character-John Wick, a grieving husband whose only remaining connection to his wife is the dog she left him. Then, you introduce an irredeemably despicable character-Viggo's son, who heartlessly kills the "nice man's dog." Only to reveal that despite Viggo's demeanor changed as soon as it was revealed that his "despicable son" is no match for John Wick.
Is anyone going to talk about how emotional she was after? The dog died truly truly epic reaction and to know that you know how to defend yourself and others is absolutely extraordinary. I am an extreme advocate of women, knowing how to throw down keep doing your thing love

(I Edited for Some What Correction)
Lesson learned there
He also wanted him to have absolute fear and knowledge of how bad ass he is 😂
15:57 he doesn’t think hes rusty bro sent every mercenary on his payroll to go and try to kill john lol
Dang...Kristen gotta mean streak in her ...don't mess with the puppies.!!!...great reaction guys
27:04 “they remembered but they did not have an understanding” I think is the sentiment you’re looking for there
The comment about this being a difficult film because of the loss in real life of Reeves' wife is an excellent one.
No problem though, sooner or later she's going to run into a celebrity without such fortitude who will tear her apart - live television or not 😂
Well said. And if that reporter was the same one who did the BBC ambush interview on Andrew Tate, such blacklisting would be appropriate.
I'm biased because it's my favorite movie, but I think Willem Defoe's best role was the detective in Boondock Saints
I wouldn’t disagree, but then he’s been so good in so many.
Platoon, boondocks saints, spiderman, and John wick are all movies he was excellent in.
Keanu daughter Ava Archer Reeves died 1999 and his fiance Jennifer Syme died 2001
Damn guy went through some rough time
This film is why I highly respect another person's puppy.
Until it bites you 😂😂😂😂
We're not all John Wick 😂 don't stress
"I once saw him kill three men in a bar with a pencil!"
_With a fcking pencil!_
These 2 are awesome together!! and for John Wick?? Near perfection lol
You don't fuck with a man's : family/wife/love interest; his car & lastly, his dog. So yeah, the best vengeance film ever. Keanu's 2nd iconic role - the franchise is solid overall - this is the best IMO.
The insurance guy riding with Vigo is perfect irony😂
Yeah Viggo's "Oh" is pretty much the most iconic line across all four John Wick movies 😀
Charlie (David Patrick Kelly) the clean up guy also played the gang member Luther in The Warriors clanging the coke bottles together in Coney.
Warroirs come out and play!
Kristen I thought you were actually trying to say mourning 🤣🤣🤣🤣
great action scenes, Keanu is really good with that gun skills
Kristen's plan is terrifying. Never get on her bad side
Your journey has just begun. Three more in the can and another in progress. So far every single one has been absolutely amazing.

There is conjecture by a lot of long time viewers that it was likely that John's wife was a veterinarian. She gave him a dog. There are any number of things she could have given. Like she gave him the car!! When he's reading the card from her she mentions the car!! At the end John knew where he could get what he needed to fix his wounds. As he and the new dog are walking away they are walking where John's wife collapsed.

Great reactions.
As we say in Texas; y'all be safe.
Putting the dog in the thumbnail is diabolical 😂
the must powerful use of the word "Oh" in movie history!
I would love to see Star Trek reactions on Your channel. 🖖🖖🏻🖖🏼🖖🏽🖖🏾🖖🏿
Ahhh. The power of a good mechanic. Has gun pointed at his head then says,' go ahead'. The power of a good mechanic.
When he took the knife and stabbed himself at the last fight, he stabbed himself where he already had an injury so there wouldn't be much more damage than was already there, and it gave him the advantage.
The John Wick series is THE BAR for modern action movies!
The actor Viggo tells to "task a crew" is the Allstate commercial guy (Dean Winters). Hey, give John a break, he actually let the door guy go home. Now Kristen understands some of the opening credits of Deadpool 2.
Beat me too it came to say nice Pull on Mayem Like Him😂
Killing the dog was narrative brilliance! It ensures that our protagonist can do ANYTHING, no matter how brutal, and, the audience will still root for him.
9:45 You should check out Reacher. One of only possessions is a bus pass, LOL. 25:53 Michael's face!!! 😂😂😂
My favorite John Wick reaction; well done!
You can mess with the man, but don't mess with his dog.
That allstate line "protect from mayhem " was hilarious
This movie is a perfect example of how to make anyone who watches your movie to not care how much violence and pain the protagonist inflicts. I have yet to see anyone react to it and say, wow John needs to calm down the killing (or something to that nature).
I loved you two’s reaction. I think this is one of my favorites now. I am starting the next movies reaction.
29:46 Neo and the Keymaker reunited.
And he is one of the actual greatest actors
Kristen with the golden "moaning" comment 🤣🤣🤣💀
"What a heartwarming movie about a man and his dog."
I say, what a gripping series about a man and THAT dog. 🐶
Wow.. you guys skipped Jimmy? How rude :P
This woman has the most adorable smile, ever.
My favorite pair of cinepals and one of my favorite action movies! 🍿🎉
dog shows up, me: "don't get too attached to it"
The clean up guy is T-Bird from the crow. David Patrick Kelly. Great actor
Makes sense the director was Brandon Lees stunt double and stand in after he died on the filming of the crow.
Kristen: People are gonna hate me for this, but...
What? What!? Spit it out, Kristen!! 😱🤯
I love the fighting spirit of Kristen
Kristen has a couple dogs. This movie is totally for her!
Is anyone going to talk about how emotional she was after? The dog died truly truly epic reaction and to know that you know how to defend yourself and others is absolutely extraordinary. I am an extreme advocate of women, knowing how to throw down keep doing your thing love
