Making some on the smoker right now! Just wrapped them! " Cannnndddddyyyyyy Redddddd" lol. Thats my guy!
@@Da-1Man-Gang back in the older days.. they used to just about give those things away…now they cost$ a arm and a leg!!!😱
The flies are killing me 😂
My grandparents were from South Carolina "Geechie", and oxtails stew was a favorite growing up in VA. Oxtails is an African American staple food going back to our roots.
Nice job. Great to see you gave props to Les BBQ.❤ he's the man!
A candy red sea. Texas Style. Salute to Les BBQ
I have cook oxtail 4 or 5 times with red beans and dirty rice on my offset smoker and I usually add 1/4 cup of Jamaican rum to my brine read Vidalia onion red green and yellow bell pepper very thinly sliced along with beef gravy along with my beef broth yours looks really good everyone that has tried mine says that they are incredible fixing to fire up my smoker again and cook something for myself because I haven't had a chance to taste them yet also going to throw on 4 Racks of ribs
Those oxtails look delicious! I’ve eaten them before and they are delicious, but I would’ve never thought about throwing them on the grill. I’ve got to try these. Thank y’all for another delicious looking recipe!
You did a great job. But here's a tip, put about 2 oz of barbeque sauce in with you beef broth. Any barbeque sauce will do. Also cut some green, red bell peppers, and carrots. Serve them over rice. Try it and I think you and you family will love them.
Yessssssssss! I have been looking for someone who has this recipe! Thank you! 💯👍🏾👍🏾
Looks great. Oxtail is so underrated. I need to make some
I'm a retired ships captain with 33 years at sea, whenever we had a gulf coast crew my favorite was usually on the menu once or twice a month and it was oxtails. I made some a year ago and they came out fabulous but I paid 15 bucks a pound for them here in New england. Malcolm Reed does a great recipe for a braise on BBQ Right involving lots of vegetables and spices, they came out phenomenal. Thanks for the video! Cheers!
That’s a cool food warmer. I need one lol
It’s only one ox tail king and it’s my man “LES BBQ” Texas in EVERYWAY !!!! 🤘🏾🍎🍎🍎
Wrong its nick and walt of destination smokehouse here in Hemet California give them a look move over LESBBQ
I've never cooked oxtails before; but I've eatn them before...They are really good... B & B products are phenomenal...When using lump charcoal; I've used it by itself r sometimes I like to mix lump & briquettes together...
They are so so good! I used to mix as well but I've been finding myself not doing that much anymore, not really sure why to be honest...
Never thought you could smoke oxtails . Always had it in soup or Jamaica style - I’m going to try this week . Thanks
Nice shout out to big les! I'm giving it a go tomorrow.. although I'm working with less.. I'm a beginner.. but I just love how these guys are such pros.. wish me luck
Those flies killed it for me
I was just watching some videos From LES BBQ I was like I wonder what that taste like then ran across your video now I definitely want to try smoking these lol👏🔥💯
Thanks for the recipe, it is a great idea. I am going to try smoking oxtails on my WSM. It would be much easier to do the braising part in the oven though. I will do the braise in the oven, probably in a cast iron braising pan and brown the onions a bit before adding the oxtails and broth.
I’ll definitely have to give these a try, have never cooked them. They look awesome. I’ve also been experimenting with mesquite wood lately. Not as harsh as one would think, but I never use more than one.
I haven't smoked them yet but my Lithuanian side of the family has been using them for oxtail soup for generations. Will try smoking them one day because it's just to good a cut of meat to not try it. Those looked freaking fantastic, nice cook!
I do the same as you sometimes different seasonings and spyces
WHOA!!! I never would have imagined smoking oxtails!! That Is BOSS!!! Adding that to my list for sure. Thanks for sharing!
I got some today and it’s all because of my boy lessbbq as well. Thanks for the lesson brother!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I cook mine southern style. I braise & smother in gravy. I will be smoking them some.
Guess I missed it…., what Temp. did you smoke them at before you wrapped them.
I think you turned up the heat to around 300/315 degrees AFTER you wrapped them.
Also….., what was your total cook time?
THANKS!!!💪🏼😋
Thank you for the tips! I have used similar methods for cooking. Tried tried an island spice to season with and came out beautiful. Thanks again
Damn, that looks good! I just did oxtails for the first time last night.
This dude is like the human version of Kermit the frog😂 great video
Lmao dude, I don’t hear it but enough people have told me this I can’t ignore it anymore!
Yours look perfect bro keep it up. You inspire me
Those oxtails looks amazing bro
Looks so good
Very nice! I’m sending you some stickers!
Love your content...keep up the good work...and the shout out to the original oxtail "candy red" guy.
Shout out LES! We’ve done oxtails before but I’d be lying if I said he wasn’t the reason we made these! He 100% is!
Also key facts when you sir tye oxtail it takes off the fat. Also the fat makes it so good that's the best part . Been cooking oxtail for years
I gotta try those candy reds on my pit barrel
I was gonna try them till I went to the store and seen they were $22 for 2 of them. Fuhgeddaboutit
Awesome job.
Lmao shoutout to you for shouting out Lesbbq that’s the first person I thought of when I saw yours, you definitely got that candy red!
You don't have any neighbor who has foil l o l? Good job...
Ok I can’t get passed the flies 😮😮😮😮
You wanna cook those oxtails til they become jelly.
Not sure if I've ever seen Oxtails before. I'll have to ask my butcher or check BJ's. Thanks for another killa video my brotha
Damn heading to Costco on Friday I need to try these brotha..great video like always
Of tail almost 10$ a pound in Oklahoma, not enough meat to justify the cost.
Those flies are getting busy on those oxtails lol
Destination smokehouse has black diamond oxtails
In California Oxtails are 10-13.00 a pound.
Love it
@lesbbq inspired me to try to make these. Thanks for the video.
Y'all see the fly posing for a shot in the video
I like dat shout out to lsbbq cuz he the reason I watched yours
Great video, I noticed you started the fire near the holes and not the middle, does it make a difference. I tried your method the other week but from the middle and it worked amazing. Really consistent temp and easy to adjust temp with only one dial not 3.
Thank you! I like starting toward one vent because it allows me to manipulate the fire exactly how I want! But if throwing it right in middle is giving you results, keep doing it!!
Les bbq has the candy red oxtail
$6.78 per lb?! Where can we find that price?
Mannn this guy...wit dem lil ass glasses. 😂😂😂. Mannn knock it off. Aint no Texas in every way.
If you turn on a fan it will keep the flies away when outside
How long did you smoke it for , 2 hours smoke and 2 hours wrapped and 1 rest
Everything minus the flies
For a first time oxtail smoker, what temp should I look for internally
making them right now, mine are bit smaller than yours so i guess it’ll be done faster than yours, cheers!
nice
Are they still smokey after the braising process??
Where did you get those oxtails from!!??? That’s a good deal 🧐
What temp?
Where can I get that hat? I went to the website and I didn’t see it .
💯💯💯
Everybody trying to copy les.....know you probably don't even eat ox tails 😂😂😂😂😂
I’ve made them before a few times! Did you not hear how I literally said that he inspired me to cook them again and shout out to Les?!
Patrick Mahomes voice ass 😂
Great vid man
The flys not bothering you
Great job
Much respect to you for showing love to another cook. U had them candy red nuggets looking good. Im out
That’s what it’s all about! Didn’t wanna sit here and pretend I just randomly wanted oxtails! LESBBQ got me wanting them badly!!
@@GulfCoastSmoke hes definitely doing his thing. An u aren't doing to bad urself keep it up bro God's speed
Everybody trying to take les bbq place😂😂😂
Can we buy them from you for Les than $150 sum for 3lbs? Les BBQ got them tails for power ball winners. 😂😂😂
Recommendation: Season “inside”. Good video otherwise 👍
Hold the flys
Ive read that those little metal clips throw the heat temp off a lot cause they heat up themselves. I stick my probes threw a cut potato or onion
Never had an issue with it and have tested them a lot! But whatever works for you, that’s cool too
I'm sorry I couldn't finish watching the video. The flies was nasty work.
candie red nuggets
I wish I had more right now! How do y’all cook Oxtails?!
Jamaican style, must try this when I get some property and a smoker.
Jamaican?? Tell me more!
@@GulfCoastSmoke one of my favorites th-cam.com/video/ajfA8eIx8rA/w-d-xo.html he’s not Jamaican but I love his videos and he cooked it well
Sop buntut. It's Indonesian and the best way I've ever had them
@@ekraamshah4737 I need to look into that and try!!
