you can swap a bench player with the captain spot and still retain the boost in the manage squad menu, better to do that then accidently forget to do it in the lineup menu
They patched that like last update so that method doesn’t work anymore

This game really just seems to favor one player over the other, the amount of times my opponent will get the worst contact hits while im sitting here perfectperfect lining out to the 3rd baseman or dead center drives me outta my mind.
Just to let y’all know a glitch. If you take out the captain in the pre game lineup menu, you still get the boosts

I hate the way it goes off the base card stats. Like cals 99 durability would be amazing but its only if the cards have 99 durability base stat. Parallels dont count. Stupid imo

Greg Vaughn Brewers captain is still the best for hitting imo. +15 power R/L and +10 Con L. You can use Yelich, Topps Now Mitchell, Turang, and Weimer, Braun, Molitor, WBC Tellez, and the Sal Frelick card.
Only position that isn’t great is C, but Contreras with the boosts can still bat 9th and not be terrible.

What does Trevor Offman captain card boost?
Tier 3 is +15 K/9 and +15 H/9 to any bullpen pitcher that is listed on their card as a Relief Pitcher (RP). Closing Pitchers (CP) don't receive a boost from Trevor.
