My husband had a stress test in 2013 that was an all's clear so we thought. One week later he had a heart attack and a triple bypass.

Abnormal heart palpitations led me to have an abnormal nuclear stress test. So now I'm having a CT Angiogram.

Your doctor may also measure your blood oxygen level, blood pressure, and heart rate. During the test, you will exercise for 10 to 15 minutes.👍

I agree. ABIs have landed A LOT fewer people in cath labs!

So what now? If all of these tests are largely unreliable why bother with them and what are our options? Thank you , Taylor.

Could you recommend me a few health professionals for someone with PCOS, Hashimoto's and acne? I'm not having great success with my dermatologist and endocrinologist. Thank you!!!

My doctor couldn't bl., I reversed my heart disease and wanted me to get a stress test and I told him no so, we never got to talk about which one so I would guess he wanted me to get the most expensive one. I tell him no for everything and I'm always right! Alternative medicine, diet. rife machines all work for me!

Jeez dude, your the sort of person who will blame the medicak system after dismissing it when you inevitably have an issue

I've always had excellent cholesterol and blood sugar levels, and fasting insulin levels. I've never been overweight. I started having arrhythmias . The cardiology office never ordered any lab work but they did order a nuclear stress test. The test was normal so the physician's assistant wrote a note saying my symptoms (arrhythmias) had nothing to do with my heart. In the mean time I went to the ER of a different hospital system in heart failure . I had a conduction block per ECG and had to have an emergency pacemaker . The X-Ray done at the hospital showed I had an enlarged cardiac silhouette. Nuclear stress tests are limited in what they can show and now I know they shouldn't be the first test to consider.
