This isn't just a great learner's bike it's also a great motorcycle for older more experienced riders who have had a long hiatus from riding and want to get back into it. It's just an all round great entry level triumph for anyone really.
To me it seemed a very forgiving bike with just enough tech and power to make it interesting and a great price tag to boot. I haven't ridden a bike in over 10 years but that's the reason I bought one last week.
That would be me. Last bike was a Honda Trail 90 that I sold in '77. Recently retired and want to enjoy greater Seattle and Vancouver, BC backroads and this may be the ideal bike.
@@INFO_MOTO How can a 600+cc bike making 80hp be a learner's bike? I haven't ridden the bike but this kind of messaging by Triumph is going to get someone hurt. This is a great second bike, but as a first? Cmon.
Hey great video, but I do have a couple suggestions that can help in future videos. 1. Get a gimbal for the camera or phone (or both when doing B-Roll and moving interviews). This will remove the excessive camera movement that is felt when watching. 2. Slow down the pace of the walk when doing the walking introductions in the beginning. Makes the viewer feel “rushed” and not relaxed. Other than that - great work!!
G,day pal. I 100% agree, fit for purpose and great value... its a great riders bike, forget the learner thing. I ride it a full 81 bhp... Ive been riding for 40 years and I thoroughly enjoyed it.... Cheers Reg Smith @threesixmoto
and now they are bring out a sports touring bike with the 660 engine will be good for us restricted riders who have to ride on highways nearly daily in the middle of nowere and i hope the tiger 660 adventure comes soon too
The 53hp isn't the problem for me. It's the LAMS status which means that even though I have a full licence I can't legally modify or upgrade the suspension - which is a must for the terrible condition of our roads in NSW.
It's looks like a mix of ducati scrambler and monster when it comes design🤔. I really love those two bikes. But can't own both🤷🏻. I think this is a good choice for me..🧐
I think it depends on the buyer. If it’s the persons only means of transport, it’s cheaper then buying a new car. Therefore 13K is bloody cheap from that perspective.
It’s not. I don’t have a problem with it. Can you imagine if some idiot can jump on a full power bike after a two day learner course? That person would be dead. I do think it should be tweaked though. I think if we mimic the UK system of A2, that would be great.
German reviewers compared with Suzuki SV650, both unrestricted, guess what, mighty Trident lost :) Here is the link th-cam.com/video/iXWDC6_rKHs/w-d-xo.html. But..from 60 to 100km/h on 5th gear, Trident won.
Hey mate. LAMS stands for Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme. It basically refers to all models that are legal for people to ride on their learner's permit here in Australia.
@@bobfallis Oh I see. Yeah it stands for Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme in Australia and New Zealand. You have to ride a 'LAMS' bike for the first three years after you get your license before you can ride a more powerful bike. Thanks for watching mate!

@@aka_pierre It makes 53hp (39kw) in learner guise. Not 80hp.
You said "grouse" instant thumbs up from me.
Finally an Aussie review. Much appreciated!

Is it possible to get it full power as I have an open driving licence?
Great review and new subscriber in Seattle!
Happy to have you, Brian. Cheers!

You can. You can let them know and they will register it that way. But you cannot convert back.
Or you can get it done and not say anything.....
Brother I stand 6feet tall and my weight is 115kgs. So should i buy this bike and would it look good on me. I am just 18 years old
Love everything about mine except the headlight hard to see at night
Could you guys explore some accessory options like luggage options?
Is that the Macquarie pass near Robertson? Exactly where I wana test ride
Hey mate! This video was mostly shot around Mount Dandenong in Victoria.
@@INFO_MOTO nice! Looks amazing to ride
Great Review, can I know the location you were riding, it’s wonderful 👍🏽
Thanks mate! This was shot around east Victoria, Australia.
If I hadn't already ordered one, I probably would have after watching this video 😁
Where was this shot?

@@INFO_MOTO I thought as much and that pub is familiar. Great place to ride.

Anyone know if this beaut is learners approved (LAMS) in NZ?
Yep!
3cylinder 210kmph top speed is learner’s bike? 😯🤔
Great review as usual! Just too damn expensive for a learner
I was thinking no real Lplater could afford a 13k bike but it everyone calls it great value for the beginner

Trident was going to be my second bike when i am off of my restricted lisence.... i wanted the full trident... LAMS is a crap system.

Im being stupid. What is LAMS

Nice review guys! Thrown the channel a sub 😉
Happy to return the favour. Thanks for watching mate!
@@INFO_MOTO Thanks, legend. Appreciate the support. Long way to go, but I'm happy to finally get our channel off the ground.
Lambs bike?!?
Yep! It's learner approved in Australia.
@@INFO_MOTO Oh, ok. Wasn't familiar with the terminology as we don't have bike restrictions in the States. Nicely done video btw.

Definitely disruptive, I was looking at my first road bike and would have got the Honda, but then I had seen this bike was coming out.
