LAMS... the worst thing to happen to motorcycling in Australia. What the hell was wrong with riding a 250cc for a year like they used to do (and I did) and then getting whatever you wanted after a year? Now we get these great bikes (XSR700, Trident, CB650R) that ONLY come in restricted form. Who wants to pay full price for a bike that's had 30% of it's power chopped off. F**king LAMS.
Good first bike? Any long term reviews? 12000 is not really a competitive price when most competitors are around that price and most 500cc bikes cost 10000
A used bike is the best beginner bike unless you’re rich and don’t mind dropping an $8k bike. Suzuki sfv650 is the best beginner bike imo. That’s what I started on and still have it.
@@keltecdan There are no best beginner's bike, just don't go with a power monster first. I'm glad you like your bike as well as I like the ones I have. Ride long and prosper mate.
What about it's suspension ?? Is it soft or hard ?? Like I live in India where there are a lot of potholes. Also I am 5ft 7in will it be okay for me or will I be tip toeing??
I’m in uk and love my full power triumph trident, awesome bike 👍🏻
Awesome video man.
Just got my hands on the silver and red trident so excited
Just got the white! Congrats
I wish there was an option for either version. As is in the UK & elsewhere in the whole wide world.
I understand the reasons for lams ( I'm in the UK) but not being able to remove the restrictions is crazy. Nice roads :)
good for daily driven! simplicity ,minimalist nice sounds not too loud not too quiet, fuel efficient, timeless beauty,well-behaved hehehe..
Shame you don't get the full power one in Australia.
LOve it cant wait to have in NZ
The only thing holding me back is the LAMS only option. If they came out with a de-restrictor kit for Aus then I'd be all over it
Same. This waa going to be my second bike when i finish my restricted lisence. Lams is shit

13k in aus now
So they aren't ever going to import the non lams version? Or just not initially?
No plans right now but Triumph says "never say never".
@@INFO_MOTO I noticed the guy you interviewed said that and mentioned if they get enough requests... How does one go about making such a request?
I'd say contact your local dealer, David, and hopefully they will pass it on to HQ.

Can the Trident be derestricted after passing the test?
Not in Australia, unfortunately.

As the bloke said in the vid, it's a class above its competitors, 'tho not the Honda, which costs more in the UK.
Excellent "review" at least you are riding it. Lot of the other reviews are just people talking about it
Thanks for the feedback, Roy! We have another video on the Trident coming out shortly. Cheers!
Why LAMS only ? Bummer
54 Bhp instead of 80, thats a joke.

It's not set up for Indian roads, its sporty, so it's stiff. Get ab enfield.
@@rbattson7171 Yeah got the RE Interceptor 650.
So dissapointing that it's LAMS only here in Oz. Nanny state.
What a rubbish review.
Cheap looking bike
Who said it was a review?
I enjoyed the video.
What a rubbish comment.
@@INFO_MOTO Was a great insight I to the bike. I have a full license and want to test ride this.
What a grouch! You,d whinge, if you won the lottery.
