What an effort! This whole build is worth watching again. No shortcuts. You are a wizard when it comes to breathing life back into a ride from the past. Great teacher also.
A real pleasure to come along for the journey. Really like white on the '69 Trans Am it looks like just off the showroom floor. Thank you Jon for the last 12 months.
Congratulations on another 5 Star restoration Jon! Thank you very much so sharing the journey. All the tips, tricks, and the VVG way! Keep having fun. God bless.
I enjoyed watching all the videos you post. Your theme song is awesome too. I can listen to that all day long! Thank you for everything you do for the hobby
Another thing to point out is you can do this quality of restoration by yourself with having a family and home to take care of, and a full time job. Doing it in a two car garage with pretty basic tools. When my buddies complain they dont have time to work on their own cars i should direct them to your channel. Now get started on that GTO.
@@VinylVillageGarage And you do it very well John. I stopped watching any other resto videos on line. They are hacks or over priced huge egos compared to you.
@ just trying to keep it real, I struggled with exactly what you observed and figured I could learn how to make videos and share real progress with real results.
Another Awesome job. I look forward to following along on your next project. I finally got my VVG swag in an it too is awesome. I love your channel and find myself rewatching episodes frequently as I work through aspects of my own 68 bird restoration. Keep up the great work
I am so very excited to have the opportunity to restore and own such an iconic car. Never in my wildest dreams would I think a guy like me would have one. I am very grateful to the viewer that helped me with the deal.
Definitely a vast improvement for sure. I am certain your build has extreme details as well. I will almost bet the farm it’s one of the most accurate body’s out there
Congratulations Jon!! ..this car, this fast ??! amazing work brother - and the gauges work - I'm sure you've already lined up your next project, but take a break, you deserve it :)
I have a 69 Firebird I'm currently working on. I'm having trouble getting the headlight buckets and rubber spacer to meet up with the fenders. From my research it's apparently a common problem. I can't remember if you covered this in a previous video. If so please point it out. If not how about helping a lot of people out. Really appreciate all the instructional videos and they help a lot! Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
I have not done a video yet. It’s a highly requested one. I have been gathering the part to assemble the front bumper On my car and will be doing a video. I have a feeling it will be a popular one for sure
The more I watch the Trans Am’s the more I want one..problem, there’s a numbers matching 400 Firebird at a reasonable cost ($15 grand)...(California car so zero rust hardtop) now the problem original paint code is 72 and the car is orange...easy to make a driver. I’ll keep looking, as you know I have plenty to do.
Sounds reasonable to me. Not to mention I have one just like that. 400 4spd 72 paint code carrousel red. But it’s far from a California car, has some advanced rust issues the way I like them.
I’ve got a 68 firebird i would like to get work done on. Down in Florida. Would you be interested in working on it? Seen your work on some of your videos. Love it. How would i be able to reach you directly? Thanks
As you might have noticed my house is for sale and the why is I am looking for a property that support taking on projects and get them done efficiently. Hopefully that transpires soon. And when it does we can definitely talk then
Yes and no, I sold him the before car a few years ago, then we stayed in touch and worked out a deal to restore his car. This isn’t something I would want to do full time it really is a big project to do a car bumper to bumper. Now I could see myself doing parts of a resto for other people in the near future. I have two of my own cars and my dad’s car to complete first.
@VinylVillageGarage that's awesome, vinyl village shop! Haha friend of mine bought a home with land and a shop in indy near the Kentucky boarder for around 400 I think. He work for ups in Louisville.
@ well today I am under Contract for a new VVG 5 acres, 3 car garage currently but a nice place to build a large barn is already cleared. So as long and financing works out big things will be coming.
The car deffinatly speaks for itself! Fantastic job!
I have no complaints!
What an effort! This whole build is worth watching again. No shortcuts. You are a wizard when it comes to breathing life back into a ride from the past. Great teacher also.
Glad you enjoyed it! I hope this works out to be a resource for other future builders.
A real pleasure to come along for the journey. Really like white on the '69 Trans Am it looks like just off the showroom floor. Thank you Jon for the last 12 months.
You are very welcome. Wish I could just play cars all day for work. Imagine how many I could save then
@VinylVillageGarage yes indeed. People are still finding project cars. Road trips like that are so much fun. A great family drive.
Congratulations on another 5 Star restoration Jon! Thank you very much so sharing the journey. All the tips, tricks, and the VVG way! Keep having fun. God bless.
Thanks the car was fun to do and really wish it was mine. Definitely the closest I have been to a real trans am convertible.
I enjoyed watching all the videos you post. Your theme song is awesome too. I can listen to that all day long! Thank you for everything you do for the hobby
Very happy to help and feeling blessed for all the people I have met and things that have happened for me since doing TH-cam
I can't believe what you did with this Bird !! Fantastic work !! 👍
Very happy to have found this car then got the opportunity to bring it back to better then new.

Right on! You nailed it, i do these videos to prove exactly what you just said.

I have a 67 400 and i love watching you work on these Birds!
Very nice! I finally have a 400 bird, it’s been on my wish list for years.
Holy cow man ! That car is beautiful and just amazing. Great work as always.
I miss this car sitting in my garage, it was a fun car to bring back with its own challenges too
Enjoyed watching this amazing transformation
Glad you enjoyed it. Another car rescued at the VVG

Fantastic! I'm looking forward to your '69 Judge project/journey!
I am so very excited to have the opportunity to restore and own such an iconic car. Never in my wildest dreams would I think a guy like me would have one. I am very grateful to the viewer that helped me with the deal.
Another piece of art from the VVG! Great job Jon! Looking forward to the next one!
Should definitely represent the VVG name well. Hopefully the next one comes out as nice.
Beautiful Job Jon. Love the song also.
That song was an amazing gift from a viewer.
Amazing work! Looks like a brand new car!
Thanks! Drives like one as well
Quite the transformation from when you received it. Excellent job. Love the attention to detail on all your projects. 👍
Definitely a vast improvement for sure. I am certain your build has extreme details as well. I will almost bet the farm it’s one of the most accurate body’s out there
Looks incredible! Great job! Looking forward to the judge actually a GTO guy first, then firebird guy
I am a bird guy but definitely a GTO guy as a very close second
Turned out fantastic, I bet the owner is thrilled too! Thanks for bring us along Jon, I've really enjoyed your videos and have learned a lot.
From what I saw he loves
This car and a dream come true for him. I am excited to see if he gets any trophies at the shows for it.
👏👏👏 Well done 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Great job. It looks nothing like the twisted hulk you started with.
Definitely not even close! To be honest I was just a little worried that this one was going to kick my butt after i learned how bad it was crashed.
Incredible job. And FAST! Wow!
Thank you! Now time to get yours done!
Amazing job!!
Thank you.
Unbelievable work is really impressive. You knock this one out of the park, brother 👏 👍 💪
Appreciate that. I hope to see your trans am soon 😎
@VinylVillageGarage soon brother really soon
Car definitely speaks for itself. Outstanding job on the entire project. Best channel on TH-cam. Looking forward to the next project starting.
Much appreciated! You are awesome!
Looks great, now I am missing the one I had back in the day!
I bet, how long ago did you sell it?
@@VinylVillageGarage It was 1976!
@tyronebrewer3219 wow. It was still new!
I got it used for $500.00 and had to replace the right front fender, a buddy of mine match up the paint for me.
@ dang. I paid $1,200 for a rusted out non-running heap and I thought I did good.
Great work! Enjoyed the journey. Looking forward to the next one. Happy Holidays!
I am looking forward to the next one too hopefully in a new garage too
Congratulations Jon!! ..this car, this fast ??! amazing work brother - and the gauges work - I'm sure you've already lined up your next project, but take a break, you deserve it :)
I will be taking a bit of a break, especially because I might be between houses too. I will tinker with the Judge for a bit.
super nice
Right on. Thanks!
You really do some fantastic work!
Appreciate that, this one was a fun project and wish it was mine.
Spectacular! Love watching your channel. Keep it up
Thank you very much!
Amazing work! By far my favorite channel. Please keep the videos coming!
Thanks! Will do! My goal is to still make time to make videos during the move if and when that happens
Looks awesome 👍👍👍👍
Thanks. I wish it was my car.
😊
Thanks

Man, did I miss the video on the nose for these ‘69’s?
Nope, I didn’t post it yet. I am going to use my 69 bird to do the video
Sweet! They seem to be a pain…
@ they definitely have their challenges.

How in a year? I seen it but you should summarize the hours and dollars it took. Amazing!
Not sure on the hours, dollars was quite a bit more then the last project just under $40,000 all in

Was the TA originally splatter painted in the trunk from factory?
Yes but is would have
Been more of a black base with white splatter
looks like bolt missing between the exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe at 56 minute mark could be camera is not picking it up
The stud is looking deceiving for sure. It’s not rusty. I had the owner check just to Be sure too because it was hard to tell.
Wait? You sell these things?

Gm prototype or concept 8 zr2 tunned port 454 corvettes 1997
👍
Man Jon, how do I send you my 68 camaro for some garage body work? Lol
Hopeful that I can work out the sale of my current home and locate a property that will support. A larger place to do exactly that fix more cars.
