    Wow great video Jef! 🔥 Thanks for mentioning my little app! 🙏
    For new users: Select all the samples inside the kit folder, then drag them to the empty drum pads (pad 1).
This Numbered Files method also works for other daws like Logic, Bitwig, Reason etc (I think Jef has an older video showing this!).
    Kit Maker can also make actual preset files for Ableton and MPC directly 😎

thanks again for the mention Jef!✌ -Grayson

    Great job, Jeff, as usual. In Cubase 14, I'm utilizing drum patterns with NI Battery. I've imported all my kits from Maschine, and I can program them directly into the drum patterns-cool stuff indeed.

    KitMaker works nicely to create Ableton Drum Racks out of NI Battery & Maschine kits as well.

      I wish cubase also had those effects per sample like ableton has... those are some killer effects! The drumsequencer in cubase is better tho

    NI hardware in front of Steinberg software utilizing NI samples - that's some serious 4D chess!

      @@jefgibbonsNo mention needed. I'm making music for fun and just enjoy when things work fine. Meanwhile I have also figured out dealing with Maschine midi content for complete integration into Cubase 14, and the power of exported Cubase "midi loops" (opposed to mere midi parts and files).

    I completely forgot about Kit Maker! Thank you for this! It would be nice to be able to load Maschine in as a VST the same way you can in Ableton's drum rack...but maybe that will come in a future update.

    What’s the set up, are you just using machine as midi comtroller, can this be done with the mpc as well. The workflow,looks super cool but I never managed to get that working before. What’s the set up buddy.

    This looks great Jef - I’m interested in getting it. At 3:36 you showed the folder with the 16 samples, how did you get them into drum machine, did you drag the folder in or drag the 16 files separately. The vid didn’t show how you loaded it. Many thanks

      Shoot, sorry, just drag and drop all 16 files onto the first bottom left pad!

    How to save preset with the audio samples i add ?

  • @aloharay

    Within Maschine the kits often have many effects on each pad, in addition to a sample sound. Di dyour Kit Maker software transfer the effects as well into Cubase? Or did it just transfer the underlying sample sound?

    • @Aleksandr-youtube

      Only sample

    • @defrigge

      @@Aleksandr-youtube But it is extremely easy to recreate those effects when you know what you are after within the Cubase Drum Machine. And many Maschine effects come as special fx samples with the effects already in them.

      No it doesn’t so samples will sound different.

    • @jefgibbons

      No, but have a close look at a lot of those effects, often they are not even turned on, which makes for big cpu problems on the Maschine+. But yeah, they will sound different in many situations.

      I think maybe he is talking about the hardware, which was also my doubt. In this case, the Maschine hardware is in midi mode and will not have the responsive pads LED, right? Thanks for the great video as always @@jefgibbons

    • @jefgibbons

      @@FelipeAyres Not sure exactly what you mean by the responsive pads, but the pads still work just as beautifully with the Cubase Drum Machine as they do with Maschine!

    • @FelipeAyres

      @@jefgibbons hey Jef, thx! Sorry, I meant how pads glow up by themselves when used in Maschine software when you playback a sequence. In the case of cubase drum track, the Maschine hardware is used only in midi mode and does not have visual/light feedback when sequence is played, right?

    cool but.... why? you lose so many nice features from Maschine... these kits comes with grooves ,FX and patterns making them sound even greater. And that's also what you paid for. Human is strange sometimes.

    • @Byron101_

      nonsense. I´m only interested in my Machine samples. The new C14 drum machine is absolutely gold and enough for me. I´m in sounddesign, I´m not a preset guy and I do my own groove patterns.

    • @defrigge

      I import them from my Maschine expansions, because IMO the Cubase Drum Maschine has a MUCH better workflow and overview than Maschine, with all functionality (comparably powerful as NI Maschine) easily accessible. The Cubase 14 Drum Machine is simply the better Maschine to me and i get good results much faster from it!

      @@Byron101_ then why do you buy premade maschine kits to begin with? It’s like saying: I am a cook and I buy a premade burger in a fast food so i can remove the bread , the sauce, the salad and make my own burger. … THIS is non sense.
