I’m not a CrossFit fan but I do think Usyk is maximizing his effectiveness with his current CrossFit methods. His gas tank is unreal. Doing burpees and full body barbell movements for conditioning will get you in supreme shape extremely fast.

    This guy is the truth.
Speaking from experience, the heavier + older you get, the more problematic high-impact cardio becomes for recovery/wear & tear on the body.

    Great content!
Would love to see some takes on classic archive footage from the 4 Kings era.
Adaptions in the modern era, work rate frequency, etc
Keep up the good work guys 👌🏻🙏🏻

I have some observations; Usyk's Th spines are pretty stiff, but i think his limited range in Th creates his fantastic style.

It's a lot of information to absorb. Would like to hear how many sets. Reps and how many x p/week you would perform these exercises. How many of the exercises, in one session.

    Question:
As a lean 225 lbs guy who competes at 205 in amateur MMA, I don't do any weight lifting because I don't want to get too big for my weight class. Any advice regarding this? I am already strong but I always wonder if I'm missing out on the benefits.

Do some plyometrics and power and speed training and some mobility drills in between sets during rest

If you keep the intensity (weight on bar) very high and reps 1-5 you’ll increase strength without hypertrophy / weight gain. This rep range hits the nervous system hard… increasing the percentage of muscle fibres recruited in each muscle rather than growing the muscle.

I usually agree with you but if that works for Usyk then good for him. Training heavyweights is not a “one type , works for all” . Alot of Usyks work is all about explosion adding to his athleticism, something heavies lack.

Haven't you watched the rest of the video? This is exactly what I say he seems to have strong justifications for what he's doing
