I think for someone like him who trains so hard at his sport, strength and general physical preparation training should be kinda fun and easy...just to balance his body out and prevent injuries while improving his abilities but more and more I'm thinking that this may be optimal for someone of that level who puts so many countless hours into hitting pads and sparring. This guys the scariest striker in the UFC and also seems like a good dude. Always rooting for him!
i find as a martial artist myself i hate lifting weights or doing strength training becuase i find i get bored of it but tbh i think its one of the most importanest things to do and once u you get by it , it just feels so much better and u feel stronger
they said one should focus on techniques but I think it's much better to balance cause how can you execute a technique if you're not strong enough? vice versa
It's easy to see why certain football players' positions could generally do well in MMA free-safety drills, and weight lifting is basically the same thing
Bro Alex would made a good actor after his UFC career ngl. He’s tall and scary and he’s built. He could be an anti hero or some villain in a movie or smth lmao
I always hated this kind of training because its so difficult to program, so much easier when you have a PT just tell you what to do. The average joe has no chance against ppl doing this kind of training, hes getting strong from every possible position now factor in his striking and grappling...absolute killer

I bet that if Alex Pereira were to fight the biggest strongest steroid freak he would send them into another dimension. Skills matter. So does size and strength but that gives many gym bros delusions of combat competence.
Take two guys with a similar skill level and the more muscular and stronger guy will win. That's why it definitely matters and is nowhere near a delusion. Stay weak.
Yes I agree, he will send the roidhead into another dimension because steroid freaks aren't very good fighting but let's say... what if it's a steroid freak that is at the same level that Alex Pereira is at? And with similar skills? Would Alex Pereira win? I don't think so
