Unpopular opinion: I feel like Origins was on the right path after realizing they strayed too far from the original content with Syndicate. It was kind of like starting fresh with the series, and changing so many things like the combat mechanics, while keeping many of the original aspects that made Assassin's Creed what it was. (Although, they probably could have had more stealth) But then I feel like they took it too far into the new direction when they made Odyssey, and Valhalla. Bayek's story draws the player in, and simultaneously makes him feel mortal and invincible. Now if they rebooted the Assassin's Creed series with the original plot idea from the first couple of games and with the game mechanics from Origins, I would probably get back into Assassin's Creed.
@@rwplm that was exactly what I was thinking about AC Origins too! That is also the reason why it's in my top 3 AC games. I thought the one year break and the formula change was exactly what the game needed and AC Origins did a perfect job while still giving you the AC feeling. With Odyssey it's basically the opposite... it did not feel like an AC gane at all.
on one hand i loved origins on the other hand the story had so many issues its hard to really like it. I totally forgot who this dude was minutes after and when his name and all came up again later i had to google it.
And now we're stuck with AC Shadows. I'd rather just get a sequel to origins, unity, AC3 or Black Flag. A sequel to any of these would be spectacular if done properly.
If they made it today: He'd be gay, no he'd be the gayest. And he'd be super colourful, think mardi gras. (And we could be hero's music aka COncord, DuStborN)
You say it's a good introduction. I say it's overly edgy and really only tells us that your character is a murderous angry dude just like many others. It's maybe an unfair assessment but It doesn't hurt to give some personality to your main character beyond the very basic concept of what they do in the game. I get it's a angry stabby game but personality does help to develop a likeable character. Doesn't have to just be edginess.
@@MisterAlpha444 yeah not really, lost my attention to any story afterwards, & imo instead of codename red/ shadows coming out soon, it would've been nice to see AC Mongolia (since it has the potential to show us what Altair, Maria & their sons were up to over there before returning home in Revelations, or show the Mongolian Brotherhood with Altair & his family having a chapter cameo working alongside with them, or even show whether the Khan & his army were allies or enemies working with the Order)
The sound in this game sucks so much ass I was not able to play it. It feels like a bootleg screen recording of a movie. just took me out of it. That and the combat is garbo. A shame because the story and the setting do seem appealing

Unpopular opinion: I feel like Origins was on the right path after realizing they strayed too far from the original content with Syndicate.
It was kind of like starting fresh with the series, and changing so many things like the combat mechanics, while keeping many of the original aspects that made Assassin's Creed what it was. (Although, they probably could have had more stealth)
But then I feel like they took it too far into the new direction when they made Odyssey, and Valhalla.
Yeah it'd be amazing if the audio quality didn't make my ears bleed. Why did the dev's compress it so much?
@@chrisvisser-fee2631 bro when the game came out I thought my tv speakers were broken 🤣
that knife wouldn't go through the skull, these devs seems to not know how thick and sturdy human skull is.
If the knife can penetrate a wooden mask after being thrown from 10ft away, it can go through bone.
This was the scene that convinced me to buy the game
💪
Might replay the game again

The only good AC from the new trilogy imo. Bayek was an amazingly written character.

on one hand i loved origins on the other hand the story had so many issues its hard to really like it. I totally forgot who this dude was minutes after and when his name and all came up again later i had to google it.

Fatality!
Bayak wins.
🤣❤️
And now we're stuck with AC Shadows. I'd rather just get a sequel to origins, unity, AC3 or Black Flag. A sequel to any of these would be spectacular if done properly.
I am sure AC Shadows could be one of the greatest AC games ever!

origins is so underrated because of the rpg style and the successive games but it's such a good assassin's creed, i'd argue top 3

If they made it today: He'd be gay, no he'd be the gayest. And he'd be super colourful, think mardi gras. (And we could be hero's music aka COncord, DuStborN)
@@aggressivecalm I don't think so
You say it's a good introduction.
I'll just pretend that this series ended at Origins
@@I_love_bread_and_Hungry_Jacks not a fan of the other games?
@@MisterAlpha444 yeah not really, lost my attention to any story afterwards, & imo instead of codename red/ shadows coming out soon, it would've been nice to see AC Mongolia (since it has the potential to show us what Altair, Maria & their sons were up to over there before returning home in Revelations, or show the Mongolian Brotherhood with Altair & his family having a chapter cameo working alongside with them, or even show whether the Khan & his army were allies or enemies working with the Order)

@@MisterAlpha444 ubisoft is a pretty crappy company? Do I need anything more?
Ah, yes. Back when Ubi could still tell a story and wasn't worried if their characters were woke, diverse, or gay enough.

The sound in this game sucks so much ass I was not able to play it. It feels like a bootleg screen recording of a movie. just took me out of it. That and the combat is garbo. A shame because the story and the setting do seem appealing
