    p. 34 From the Microkorg Owners Manual
Using an external input as the carrier of the vocoder
    1. connect the included mic to the AUDIO 1 CONDENSER jack, and connect the output jack of your external device to the AUDIO IN 2 LINE jack. Use the VOLUME 1 and Volume 2 knobs to adjust the levels so that the audio signals are output to AUDIO IN 1 and 2
2 When you raise the MIXER "INST LEVEL" (knob 2) value, the input signal from AUDIO IN 2 will be input to the band pass filter (synthesis filter) of the carrier.
    3. When you raise the MIXER "OSC 1 LEVEL" (knob 1) and play the keyboard, the OSC 1 waveform will be input to the the band pass filter of the carrier
    4. If you set the AUDIO IN 1 "HPF GATE" (knob 4) to Disable (DIS), the high frequency portion of the input signal from the AUDIO In 1 jack will also be output.
    Have FUN!

hey you know if you click the formant hold button while you're singing/using the mic you can 'sample' whatever the mic input is so that you dont have to keep talking into it. then you can just use the keys. this is how the vocoder patches that don't require input work. cheers!

+patsmalling I guess he can't play the guitar and the keys at the same time.

after years of trying to find what's right and saving money I finally am getting one of these. the thing that I always doubted was people's cynicism towards the vocoder on the machine. Saying things like "it isn't good enough to compare to present day standards" etc etc. You have proved that with creativity, something amazing can emerge from this awesome piece of hardware. Can't wait to get mine.

Really awesome stuff man. I really like how you are using different things to explore sound as a whole thing rather than sticking to preset or conventional ways of music making. This and your other tutorial video really inspired me. I just ordered a microkorg and I am eagerly awaiting its arrival in the mail. Your tutorials really helped, and I will be checking out your website for sure.

I'm picking up a microkorg today sully because I saw this video. I'm wanting to use bass through it instead of guitar. But, I would like to split the signal to run one to the Korg and one to my amp. Would that be possible by running out of one of my pedals to the synth? Or would I have to get a line splitter. My pedals are a Boss DD-3, Darkglass B7K Ultra and Boss TU2 tuner.

    150. it's good as new and is unregistered, you can register it with moog and get free stuff, I also have the power supply for it around here...somewhere haha. I see you have Logic Pro, you can use the ring mods oscillator as an external audio device, and if you have a midi>>cv module or midi cables, you can send pitch to it from your keys or whatever and then record back in the oscillator and sample it or use recordings. I have enough samples from it and use WOW for filtering now.
