I was adopted through kinship placement at 4 years old. My "parents" never showed me love. I was yelled at and insulted every day, physically harmed regularly and denied nearly anything I requested. I ate ramen noodles 3 times a day my entire 3rd grade year. My clothes had holes, I smelled like dirty dogs. I suffered so horribly it took years to realize that kindness isnt something a person needs to earn. We just deserve it. You have no idea what you're doing for these kids. But I really do. You're showing them they are worth the thought. The money, the effort. You cannot make a person feel like they belong, you have to step them in it. The way so many of us are steeped in apathy. You are saving them from a lifetime of trying to fill their emptiness, you fill them up with love. These 12 children will be pitchers. Thank you so much. Every lunch. Every birthday party. You put their worries to rest. Someone loves them. Someone cares.

i love that you get things JUST because a kiddo is into it now...you are so responsive and present as a mom. also, as someone who lost their mom early in life --this is so nice, i love coming along with you on your errands! your channel's videos are never hectic, only soothing to me.

She is great I only have 14 year old but allow him make a lot choices in food!!! He picks a meal out once every 3 wks, meals I cook and eat a lot breakfast and lunch at school so I don’t fuss much with food.

How is it that I hate grocery shopping myself but yet I can watch your grocery videos all day? I watch all your videos but I look forward to these ones the most! I could not even imagine trying to figure out what you would need for groceries in a week.

Try checking if your area does any kind of grocery delivery! I hated grocery shopping as well bc of all the lifting and putting away now the only things I don’t let people get me is meat and sometimes produce bc of sales

Alicia, if you see this, thank you for these. (No need to respond, you're a busy momma.) I have agoraphobia and it can be debilitating. But watching your videos when you're shopping feel therapeutic and feel as though I got my kick of human interaction. VERY weird, I know, but these videos actually help me take baby steps in going out. I can't really figure out how though but they do. The panic and anxiety still hit but lately, when I do venture out, I'm not _as_ scared, paranoid or worried. Again, thank you.❤
This mirrors some thoughts I was having while watching. It is so weird, lol. I can’t figure it out and I honestly feel a bit off by how much I look for a video each day. And then the days of multiple videos are such a mental boost!

As a person who came up in a family of 11, please do a recycling/garbage video. Based off what you buy and paper plates and all, it must be incredible.
I love the idea of around the world Monday. Exposing the kids to different cultures foods and experience!!! Is awesome and allows them to try different things. Gives me Inspiration to try different recipes. Had a though you could expand on the idea and maybe watch a movie, documentary or tv show from the country that week and show the kids where that country is on a world map etc

I cannot even imagine keeping food for 14 people stocked! Oh my gosh! You have an amazing system with your store list and your home organization storage. You always seem to know what you have and what you’re low on. Soooo many meals!!! Wow! I don’t care for grocery shopping, but I will never complain about it again! ❤️

"Skyr" is pronounced like "skeer", it's a type of Icelandic yogurt that's similar in texture and taste to Greek yogurt, so that was a good substitute! I'm surprised Wegmans didn't have it in the yogurt section, skyr has gotten popular due to its likeness to Greek yogurt :-)

Yay! When I saw the short I hoped for the full length video before bedtime. Is it ridiculous how much I enjoy going along while you grocery shop? Maybe. Is it something I look forward to every week? Yes, yes it is. When you go down an aisle I want to shout "Wait! You forgot the mayo and the Ranch!" I've noticed lately that you point out when you don't need a regular item, so perhaps other people have mentioned this to you. Thank you for sharing your family with us!

I hope someday if they haven't already. I hope the kids watch your videos to know how well you paid attention to their needs. As you've shopped for each individual item the wanted or needed. Meal planned. Making sure everything was stocked for the entire week each week. Just such a good parent in general. Your videos make my entire day.

Here is Australia the only time we ever use disposable plates, bowls and cups is for like a bbq or something. But I suppose with that many people eating each day it’s like event catering 🤣🇦🇺

This lady is amazing the time she dedicates cooking, shopping and laundry and her children. I only have 1 14 year son and husband so I work outside the home but this lady seems work 24/7. She is most productive SAHM I have ever seen in my life.

In out country, if children were fed with customs duty. Child protection and school health nurses would intervene in family affairs. Look at Taina Licciardo-Toivola with their. healthly children´s feeding .They have 10 children

Alicia, you and I are the same age and I honestly don’t know how you do it all! I only have my husband and little sister (I couldn’t have children) and work a full time job and I don’t accomplish HALF what you do in a week! You’re an amazing mom! BTW, the stores here in northern Louisiana usually have caramel macchiato creamer (it’s my favorite too) and if I could figure out how to send it to you without it spoiling, I’d definitely send you some!!
I don't like coffee but here in Mexico me and my sister saw the creamers in Sam's club and we had to buy it to try it on. Everytime I see them I remember Alicia and this week I saw she cannot find them I thought the same, that I hope I could send one 🤭

These trips are soothing to me. Idk y but lately I have been experiencing anxiety over groceries and supplies. I do know that before the pandemic, I stocked up on barely anything. But for some reason lately - don’t know if because it’s hurricane season or because of all the inflation talk and supply chain issues - I have been spending crazy amounts at the store. This is such a weird feeling for me to feel. I used to be ok with a half empty fridge, now I only feel content if it is stuffed to the gills and it’s just me!
Wow 6am on a Sunday! Our shops here in the UK don’t open until 10am on Sunday’s...I’d love to go out shopping that time of day when it’s empty. Love you all x

None are fosters, 4 biological, 6 adopted, and the 2 new kids are kinship placements so they're actually kids of family friends that they gave taken in so they don't have to go into real foster care.
The big $$ comes from TH-cam and other social media. It's a LOT of money. Dad also works full time as a special education teacher, so there's that too!
Also it's illegal, you're not allowed to show actual Foster kids online so you know none them are Foster kids!
@@valtoton2982 Don’t forget that teachers make SQUAT! And from the looks of it, all of their kids are well taken care of and they really do cater to their likes and preferences. They don’t seem to be taking in money and then putting on this extravagant, lifestyle, their way of life seems very average, they are doing well for themselves and the children!
You let your kids sleep in after grocery shopping? That's really nice of you, my parents go shopping at the crack of dawn and wake me and my sister up before they leave to do chores and clean the house while they're gone, then to be ready to bring in everything and put it away and start their lunch.

We always put a piece of toast under our beef stew to stretch it. We loved Denty Moore. Noodles are a good idea too.

The basic items, like sugar, flour, oil , maybe macaroni, rice, potatoe, ex, it's really helpful to get those in bulk. In my family those are the items, for a year. Same with meat , you buy a meat for like 3 months supply from farmers. Same includes vegetables, fruit. You prepare them in the reserve, for a year, or less. I hope you get the idea.

Love the idea of trying foods around the world! I used to love skyr, it's almost like sour cream mixed with plain yogurt. When i moved to the states i couldn't find it for a long time, then i saw it along with the "healthier" yogurts one time haha. I would eat it like yogurt for breakfast with some honey on top but i heard that you can also use it to bake break and make pancakes.

I love these videos it’s so interesting to see US supermarkets even though it’s a mundane task it’s just fascinating to see stores around the world. The package sizes are so huge even brands from my country don’t sell the sizes here they have there.

Icelandic Yoghurt or Skyr as they call their favourite brand is pronounced ‘Skee-err’
It’s a lovely thick yoghurt, slightly thicker and tarter in taste to Greek yoghurt. It’s very popular here in the UK, a big pot never lives in the fridge for long in my home!! I love watching your weekly grocery hauls, albeit rather mind-boggling. I’m on my own, but occasionally have an extra three to feed, my daughter, her partner and my two year old granddaughter which brings my food bills down considerably next to yours. But like you, anything that keeps my family happy and content, I usually end up buying more than I need to. 💞🇬🇧

It looks like a lot of sweet things are bought but remember items are being divided amongst 12 children. One box is one day or one treat. For my kids a box of 12 Popsicles could have lasted almost a week at one a day each. But with 12 kids one box is one day. So multiply everything you buy for your family to equal 12 kids and two adult's. Plus there are teenagers so maybe then add xtra because they are high energy and eat

Patrick’s bday is 7/29! We spent the weekend planning his party and Josh did online shopping without telling me so I’ll have to post a screen record of what he bought lol. He was excited because Patrick had pointed out things in NYC that he wanted and Josh wanted to get them all for him.

I don’t know if it’s just easier for you to get the smaller sizes of sugar and flower, but I recommend buying the larger sizes as it lasts longer and ends up being cheaper in the long run🙂
I was thinking that myself. It’s just my hubby and I and we try to buy sugar and flour in bulk even just for us. I wonder if it’s just easier for her. Could be storage honestly. She probably runs out of room super fast lol
Maybe you should try out gallon freezer ziploc bags to store the pop icicles etc it will take up less space than stacking all the boxes into the freezer and fridge.

I was in foster care for almost my whole young life from 2-17 and I had some really mean ones that wasn’t good to me it makes my heart happen to see how much y’all love all your friends I wish I would have had foster parents as good as y’all. I finally did find good foster parents that adopted me when I was 18. My adopted parents was amazing I unfortunately lost my dad almost two years ago due to Covid. Watching your channel always brings me joy

Wegmans is like Publix here in Florida. They pretty much have everything you need. One stop shop is convenient. Especially for someone who doesn't like grocery shopping! 🛒🛍️😬
It's interesting to see what each store has to offer.
Skyr is pronounced more like skier. It's basically a fat-free Greek yogurt with higher protein than your average Greek yogurt. I first had it in Iceland, but it became available in our Canadian grocery stores just a couple years later. 😊

I’ve gotta commend you. It’s just me, myself and I over here, and I haven’t had time to grocery shop in a few weeks now. I just ordered $175 worth of groceries (I needed to restock a lot of staples too) on Instacart that I’ll pick up after work tomorrow. I’m already dreading bringing it all in and putting it away; I can only imagine how you felt when you first started out in this life 😆

Growing up my mom would go grocery shopping w/o me and I felt so betrayed. 😂. I just wanted to go to pull the coupons out the machines in the different aisles. Lol Love your videos.
