  • Well it was only a matter of time. Time to start the durability testing of the Sonim XP10. Today’s challenge is a minimum of a 1 hour dip in antifreeze. Don’t do this at home!

I sure was pleasantly surprised when the 2 speakers membrane purged out the liquids from the housing itself.
Please refer to time : 6:55
Shows you the vibration going on in the chassis, via speakerphone mode.
I currently own the XP5S, XP3 Plus, and XP5 Plus.
And all love them too much to subject them to such conditions.
But good to know that you did honest tests of the XP10 in extreme situations.
Very instructive and entertaining test indeed.

Yeah it’s pretty neat. That was just the first time it was pronounced enough for me to notice. That shows you how much sound is really coming out of those speakers

Does the screen scratch at all?

Ide say no worse than any other phone screen. Glass is glass ya know. It’s gonna be scratchable. Personally I don’t ever really get much of any scratches. On any device. What this phone does have is a thicker screen. So more glass means it’s able to resist impacts. You can really smack on that screen hard and it takes it like a champ lol.

Depending on your location it’s around $600 bucks currently on ATT. Not bad.

Why antifreeze? Why not at 1.5m depth pressure? Stupid test.
