Yeah amzn.to/3Adyg63 This was the worst roll out I have come across and I was pissed by name issues @ look at the first price as it states Pros. Otofix is a good sub brand company but they really need to get it together with these names!
Great review! Best review available on the ‘net, for sure. I have the D1 Pro (non-“S”), and you hit all the key points. Yeah, I wish it had Topology (and a kickstand!), but, Oh well.
This would make perfect sense for someone who is planning to work on more than one car at a time, most likely business wise and fix the same sorts of issues...

In terms of features how does this compare to the Launch X431 Pro TT? They seem to be a similar price point apart from updates which seem much more expensive for the Launch vs OTOFIX (important for home mechanic).
I have tried the x431 tt but I did review the x431 pro elite and between launch and Otofix unit I little the Otofix unit better as it’s really a really platform. For home diy and not having to worry about yearly fees I recommend this unit th-cam.com/video/mf5zDmiEpe8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uwsgr6x38XkiQC-i
Yes, with the rate that car dealerships are charging per hour of $200+ this is a must for any car owner. Honey you can buy one tool and share it with friends and family.
Hello, watched so many of your obd reviews hope you can give me insight before doing my purchase. Should i go with otofix d1 lite vs the launch pro elite? As of today the price are half difference. Indont have a shop but really getting into repairing my cars. Thanks.
Between the two I would go with d1 lite for sure but after two years you will have to pay for upgrades. With that being said I recommend you look at this th-cam.com/video/mf5zDmiEpe8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=eaN4aLxssHyj-K7l as it’s got lifetime updates and is as good as the d1 lite. I hope that helps, and there is a 20 percent off discount code I left in the video description that is still active. There is also a Bluetooth version as well and I have the review coming this Wednesday for that. Enjoy
Be careful of the warranty. I had a problem 3 months into owning one of these and they tried to skip out on fixing or replacing it. Still waiting on a replacement. Not the deal it appears to be. They are a subsidiary of Autel so I would consider their warranty one in the same.
New subscriber here. I’ve been interested in a autel mx808S or an innova 5610 before watching your videos. My budget is around 400 I have a Honda and a Mazda, what scan tool you think is better than the ones I mention for my budget. Also I’m just trying to do basic test and maintenance on the cars
For home diy and the price I like the 689 but it’s not as good as the d1 pros s. The lifetime updates are main feature of the 689 and it’s decent, not perfect, decent
Thanks for the feedback. Why do you link the topology visual chart so much? For me it’s more of a visual gimmick. So I would love to understand your thoughts.

Are you 100% sure this link is for the Pro"S" model? The description says it is Android 10 and the screen size is 10.1".
Yeah amzn.to/3Adyg63

I just ordered the unit today because a friend has one. Your tutorial is just what I need.😄😘😍
Hope you like it!
Thanks for the video
Will this do cvt fluid reset? Valve body replacement? Transmission initialization? Thank you!

Thank you for the great feedback. Enjoy your D1 pro, both are good tools

Yes, you are right and you can also share the device with friends and family as we all (some people have 2 to 3 cars) need a car in the USA.
I have been trying to decide on a bidirectional scanner to buy. Thank you for the video. 😎💞✌
Glad I could help
Nice video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice tool. Thanks for making this video. What's the latest year of vehicle it will scan?🥰
It can scan a 2024 but most of these vehicles are under warranty.
Nice video mate , does it do adblue resets ? Thanks
Yes, of course

Which market is this tool manufactured for?
The USA only?
Does the tool show a list of regions for which it is authorized ?
I works for world wide. No regions locks, you can choice the region the vehicle from.
@@RANDOMFIX I'm obliged.
100% a tool that’ll pay itself in the long run with BMW’s. Absolute live saver.☺

Yes. Even more basic scan tool can this
Hi there, I have infiniti Q70 2.2d does it support injector leak test and codding?
Yes
Thanks for sharing, I have not heard experience with small diesel motors in the usa.
