I know right???? Drives me crazy when people don’t use a silicone spatula!!! They get everything out of the bowl, and doesn’t make the noise that stainless steel or metal untensils do!!! Sometimes the noise from the metal utensils are so loud it makes it annoying to watch the video! I am a diehard fan of silicone spatulas❤❤❤

Added this to a Playlist cuz I want to try it. Somehow, you reminded me of my grandma, who lived from 1901 to 1985. She always enjoyed having me as her little kitchen helper, and taught me many things, like how to make egg noodles from scratch and her yummy Devil’s Food Float Cake. That was the weirdest thing to make! After she poured the chocolate batter into the cake pan, she she’d sprinkle it with Cocoa Powder and then top it with WATER! As it cooked, the water would filter down into the batter, taking the cocoa powder with it. When a slice was turned out and over onto a plate, I swear it was like magic, you had a chocolate syrup on top! Wow! Served it warm with vanilla ice cream. It was the best dessert EVER! Many years after she was long gone, I found several recipes of it online! Yippee!

Great video KC! I LOVE your presentation. I have always loved this recipe. We have made this for years at our house but we have always added potatoes and prebaked the bottom crust to prevent it from getting soggy. Also we switch out the cream of mushroom for cream of chicken or cream of celery soup or cheddar cheese soup depending on which kid requests it for dinner. I bet the holidays at your house are great-😊😊😊

I ❤️ the peas and carrots!
I even add p&c or mixed vegs to pot pies from the frozen entree section like Marie Callendar, etc.

If you're new to cooking this is a good recipe. When you get better skills make a pot pie from scratch Its really not that much harder than this recipe but tastes 100x better.
Always cook anything with a pie crust on the lowest rack to prevent soggy bottoms.

This looks really good, but I don't like mushrooms, so I'm going to substitute a small can of cream of chicken and a small can of cream of celery. I use these as a base for most of my casseroles. Thanks for sharing this.

Last week I bought the rotisserie chicken at Sam's , already baked for 4.99. big chicken too. Was also already flavored too and so it added to the flavor of my own ingredients. Dinner ready in 1 hour. ( And you know chicken is expensive too)
