    I remember the days when Scott Oake would interview Bieska and those two would always find a way to crack me up. I also knew back then that Bieska had the personality to work on HNIC. Sure enough, here he is.. He's a great addition and adds a sense of humor HNIC always lacked.

      "What do the Canucks need to do in the third period to get back into this game?"

      "Ok, that was Kevin Bieksa of the Vancouver Canucks.." (way over Scotty's head)

    I think when Messier was a Canuck ranks as one of the worst times to be a Canuck fan. Linden being traded away sucked so much. I HATED it when they hired tortarella. That guy is the worst coach ever.
    Having Lu traded was awful too. Devastating, really. Bieksa is AWESOME isn't he? Loved him as a player, love him in media. His sass is what makes him so cool. Here's hoping for many great Canucks seasons from now on though!

    Yep Bieksa is a bright ex athlete who has great credentials, knowthe recent nhl, and knows he is the real hockey expert on the panel but doesn’t flout it or roll his eyes too much when Elliot Friedman talks about anything even though Bieksa (appropriately) doesn’t care what Friedman says about anything.

    0:52 Man down! Man down!
    2:11 And how'd that work out, Torts? He did so many things backasswards that year. Like overplaying the Twins, who were known to produce MORE with LESS minutes. Pretty sure Torts has a learning disability.
    3:20 I live in Red Deer, AB. Any hockey fan I've ever sat and talked hockey with at a lounge or pub HATED Juice when he was a Canuck, but they ALL agree, he's the real voice on hockey right now.

    Eddie lack wasn’t really the hot hand or on luongos heels which IS WHY fans were so mad.
    Luongo had just come back from wining gold for Canada and Torts was sour as he’s American and started Lack as a “f you” to Luo. It shattered Luongos relationship with GM Gillis and the owner Aquilini and Luongo and his agent immediately forced a trade.

    I hated it at the time but benching Luongo (my fav Canuck of all time) was the best thing for this team,Torts was right it wasn’t 2011 no more ,management need to make changes earlier,also getting rid of Tanev etc to the flames was better on the long run,teams that try to do it with the same players without results are just spinning their tires

  • @ethanparker7900
    @ethanparker7900 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The early 2010s was such a dominant time for the canucks with coming nearly 1 win short from winning a cup for the first time and obviously the back to back presidents trophies in both 2011 and 2012. Ever since the mid 2010s the Canucks have been inconsistent and mediocre at best. I personally thought it was kind of unfair they fired tortorella after just 1 season and would've preferred it if they maybe did it during the 2014-2015 season or after the 2014-2015 season ended if they really had to do it. Letting a guy go after 2 seasons is fine if the right reasons are there but after just 1 season seems just dirty. It should be 2 seasons or more for letting guys go if things don't pan out 1 season seems unfair. Their lackluster 2013-2014 season wasn't torts' fault at all (except for obviously the herritage classic not starting luongo leading to luongo getting traded at the deadline rather than simply wait until the off season like they did with kesler) I'm no canucks fan by any means but I sure did have a lot of respect for them especially in the early 2010s when they were the face of the western conference.
