Do you still have pain? I have had this injury for 8 months and I twore C6 from the cord. (Avulsion) I just had my nerve transfer surgery the week ago. My first surgery was at 6 months trip are the plexus.
@@hgallegos915 Wish you well brother. I had my surgery 6 mths after the injury, >10 yrs ago. Praying you have better results than me, but never give up. :)
I also have a brachael plexus avulsion injury in my left arm and had my 1st surgery in November . I’ve gained shoulder movement and can raise it just a tiny bit but it’s still paralyzed. I’m having my 2nd nerve transfer in a few weeks
These many days no one was there to understand the level of pain we are going through , after seeing ur video it made me cry n happy who understands the condition n pain going through
I've suffered from the same thing since birth and hearing your comforting words & advice really helps. I appreciate you brother. I've spent my life sad and angry at the world & especially God for being the way i am. Many days i spent wishing death upon myself cause i couldn't bare the pain of not being able to do the things ive always wanted & wished to do .. ive felt left out my whole life. i wished things would b different. I am now trying to learn to love myself and understand that everything has its reason but its frustrating as you may understand but surely i will overcome my demons. Knowing theres other ppl going thru the same thing as me puts joy in my heart cause we are in this together & i don't feel so alone now.
I’ve had it since birth and I’m 34, and everything you said I mean was the realest thing I’ve read because that’s exactly how I feel, I’m glad that you’re trying to overcome everything and I salute you but for me this is just something I’ll never be able to forget ever but #Respect
im glad you posted this. My boyfriend had a dirtbike accident april 1 2021, slapped his entire left side on a pole which has resulted in a avulsion brachial plexus. Completely tore c5-t1. He was taken to bamc the military hospital in san antonio, they literally did nothing. No surgery no therapy. Its been a little over a year and he STILL hasnt had one surgery or any therapy. He has no movement or feeling anywhere on his left arm, hand and shoulder area. When you look at his left arm from the side it looks like his shoulder is out of socket, i can grab his arm and push it back up into the socket area but it doesnt stay. His pain is constant, unbearable at times. Hes currently taking Gabapentin 600mg 3 times a day, it helps but not alot. Ive been reading about acupuncture/electroacupuncture for brachial plexus injuries and how it may help with pain, as well as tinctures for nerve pain on etsy (if you believe in tinctures and that kind of stuff), Hopefully we and everyone else on here can find something that will help the pain more. This injury has affected his mental health so badly, im hoping when i show him this video he will feel a sense of hope. Thank you for sharing!
Hi devolt I have brachial plexus injury from motorcycle accident in 2010 not complete avulsion but a crush and stretch injury resulting in paralysis and loss of sensation. I had surgery in London from a Mr Fox (Stanmore) where I had a sensory nerve graft and muscle grafting. I am now able to move my arm and have 70% movement I’m one of the lucky ones but everyday is a reminder for me, the phantom pain is constant but I’ve learnt to live with it and I still live my life to the fullest. Your positivity and story struck many cords with me it’s been a long struggle but made me a stronger person I hope you continue to raise awareness and continue to be available for others in the same situation, thanks dude.
Thank you, thank you so much. I too have a brachial plexus injury. Riding my motorcycle, I was a victim of a hit & run, i95 in south Florida. C5-7 are herniated my left arm is completely paralyzed. I can't stop thinking how my life would have been of more quality if they amputated my arm instead of me having to carry this dead weight. 12/16/17 3:30pm on a Saturday afternoon, not even a Good Samaritan called 911 they just left me there like a dog on the side of the road, ruptured spleen, callasped lung, brain bleed whole list of injuries. Coma for 3 days. I used to walk around at 220 lbs now I weigh 160lb. I don't enjoy life, at least not like I once did. But you look so good, able to build things. Kinda gives me hope, in this hopeless situation.
Dont lose hope man. The universe loves u . Know that evn though this. I knw its hard. Beleive in miracles. When u hit rock bottom theres nowhere to go from there but up.
I gave birth to a baby boy who was born 2011 with Brachial Plexus. i didn't get to see him for the first few hours of his life because my delivery was one for the books. when i finally got to see him i instantly fell in love and crushed all at the same time. All i thought about was the things "he wouldn't" be able to do. as time passed i realized he had to just do things the way he felt was the easiest for him. i mean from holding his bottle to crawling to being able to walk without falling over. he is now 8 years old and sometimes i forget that he is a little more special than the average 8 year old. he does EVERYTHING any 8 year old does and might do it a little better because he is a LEFTY. I thank you for this video for encouraging my son and myself. I'm actually putting together a short documentary about my Aaron. i will post it on TH-cam. my goal is to show it to school age children who might not understand Aarons specialness. i refuse to tell him he is disable because in my eyes he isn't!!! ii wish you well and again thank you
On July 26 2016 I was also in a motorcycle accident. I had two root avulsions. I had a nerve transfer surgery which is mildly successful. I experience pain 24/7. I think the weather elevates the pain from time to time. Its hard to stay positive. Like many here, I feel alone.. I feel like there is nobody who can possibly understand what I am going through and I worry about my future. I wish all you the best, stay a strong and try and stay as active as you can.
Listen bro. I'm here with you. I'm 29 and had a football accident at the peak of my high school career. This happen in 2007. I'm still dealing with my injury. I had no surgery on my nerves because I was told I only stretched my nerves. Never give up. I came close to giving up. Science is improving. Soon they will be able to reverse this condition.
@@fikri9065 My surgeons didnt seem to really care once I got past 5 months. Turned out a year later I got some movement back. But my arm is very weak. 10% bicep back and maybe 1% deltoid. So this is my life now. 24/7 pain and cant do the things I want to.
you have my sympathy brother, i crashed my 2005 suzuki gsxr 1000 back in 2006 and got all broke up, but when my clavical broke it ripped c3, c5, and c6 out of my spinal chord and paralyzed my left arm. for the first few years i had stabbing pains in my arm pit every few minutes that felt like somebody was stabbing me with an 8 inch dagger, and shooting pains starting at my elbow and would shoot out my baby finger and ring finger. it also burns and feels like hot static. i just decided to have my arm removed just below the shoulder in 2013 and fused the remainder of bone to get the dead weight off my neck. still deal with burning hot static or pins and needles, and my scapular or shoulder blade is achey like a tooth ache. i get tention headaches also. severe brachial plexus injury will make you feel like somebody is playing with a voo doo doll of you. stay strong brother, i know exactly how you feel and would not wish it on the devil. he who endures till the end shall be blessed.
Same. 2005 been in pain ever since a bike accident. Had some nerve graphs done to no avail. I asked my doctor at one point, ready to have my arm removed, but he said it could actually make the pains worse. Like you and the rest of us, i accept living in pain. Thank God I have a great wife and great kids to keep my head up.
Thank you so much for this video. I had a motorcycle accident in April 2017. Also diagnosed with a brachial plexus injury. Its been a hard road these past couple of months, mentally. I have been going to physio and its a 50/50 chance I will recover. My dr said I will probably not recover from it. Please continue to make more videos. It has really put me in a better mindframe. Thank you. All the best!!!
My deepest sympathy Charne, it is a raw deal and not easy to accept, however, there is things you'll discover about yourself which you never knew existed. Be ready for a increased reflex with your working arm, something I was wow'ed by since my injury. I will continue to make more videos, share my support and empathy with you. I'll do some how-to's, etc. Good luck and hang in there, there is always hope.
Thank you for sharing! I recently injured myself by sleeping on my arm in an outstretched position. I know this sounds weird to most, and even to myself. I’m just glad to know I’m not alone. I’m hoping and praying to regain full function after a few months.
Hi, thank you for this video and im glad I found this. Theres a reason for everything and for whatever reason I watched this, im thankful. I injured my shoulder 5 years ago playing rugby making a tackle. Suffice to say, I came off 2nd best and felt a pain like never before after 10 mins. I ended having surgery after 12 months after doctors told me I had a brachial plexis injury which is more common to motorcycle accidents (I didnt know to feel lucky or unlucky, especially being the only one to have this injury I know of, making a tackle in rugby). Ive always been an active person and person of faith but after a few years it tore me down to lows Ive never experienced. I wasnt prepared to the extremity of how tough it was mentally, let alone physically. Im now in my 5th year and not much has improved. I have little movement but not as bad as in your case. Part of me was waiting for my hand to heal so I can get back into fitness and get back to how I was. This video has inspired me to.be content with what I have to make the most of it. I know God will never forsake me and I need to be as strong like you. My arm is disabled but my mind body can still achieve a lot more. Again, I thank you for sharing this message. God bless.
Thank you and God bless you too. That sounds like a real serious tackle sheesh!!! It had to be like a full on full head on tackle, brave man👍🏻 Well being also a technologist I can assure you 5 years from now some kind of affordable tech suit/gauntlet type wearable with mind control will pop unto the market so that we will be able regain ability. Until then thumbs up and keep faith🙏🏻
I got into a moyer scooter accident 6 month's ago while living in Thailand. My girlfriend at the time left after 3 weeks 😂 nobody could imagine the physical pain i am in 24 hrs a day hardly any sleep for 6 months. Thank you for the inspirational video. In Thailand i was on tramadol and alternativinh gabapentin and pregabalin bi weekly. When i returned to the states they immediately tried taking away the tramadol which is the only thing that actually helps ive tried going days with no meds but without the tramadol the pain is unbelievable. Anyhow i have a t8 alvulsion and major injury to all the other cords. My left arm is paralyzed but i can move my fingers and forearm a little. Im here to talk to anyone still out here that may come across this message. I could offer support and i could use some myself. I read every comment here and i honestly consider you all my brothers a sisters going through the same struggles. I'd like to thank anyone here that is here for a loved one and hope you continue your support for them you are a angel in their lives. Peace and love everyone. Take care. Stay positive.
I Had a car accident back in 1993 resulting in the same injury to the same arm so I know exactly what your talking about. For me the most aggravating thing has been the phantom pain. It's 24 hours all day every day but you learn to deal with it and live on. The only thing that will stop you is you. I do so much people actually forget I can only use one arm. I know from personal experience what this man is talking about you can still live a full life after this injury.
I also have brachial plexus nerve injury in left hand since 9 march 2017 and i have restored the 70% of function only by physiotherapy. Don't go for operation, operation is the last option. First go with physiotherapy.
Physiotherapy helps only in cases where nerves are only stretched and if the nerves are completely broken or out of alignment then surgery is necessary.
Wow! Thank you for sharing your story. It brought tears of hope to my eyes. My boyfriend is going through the same thing your going through. He can't use his left arm due to a car accident in 2006. He and I have been together for 7 years and he is my inspiration. Your wise words are so inspiring so thank you! 🙏💖🙏
Same with me, a left arm brachial plexus injury from a motorbike crash with a C6 evulsion; the really intense electrical pain throughout my arm and hand take my breath away. Some days I don't want to even breath because the pain is so overwhelming that any other sensation is too much to cope with. I take Gabapentin, Oxycodone and Morphine and it still doesnt keep the pain away. It is nice to hear from someone who knows what it's like because when I describe the pain to doctors and most people, I get the feeling they think I'm just exaggerating the level of pain.
I hear you! I nobody has any idea except those who has it. My doctor told me it’s one of the worst injuries one could have because of the mental exhaustion of experienced pain without the blood, cuts and bruises one would expect to see. It’s like fighting a invisible war everyday while trying to act normal. But we are over-comers and victors at the end of the day. Everyday is a victory, and well done in fighting it. You have my allied support.
@@painsupportgroup9654 Thank you. It definitely does feel like a battle every day. Trying to act like everything is fine in public is particularly challenging, I have to really resist the urge to grab my arm and curl up in a ball on the floor. I keep hoping science will come through with a fix for us, there were some successful results with spine damaged rats, even a head transplant in 2017, so hopefully the technology will come around soon, so I don't have to keep my hand in my jeans pocket all the time lol.
Lol I hear you about the hand in the pocket thing! Makes feel like I look so lazy in public while my wife does most of the carrying 🤦♂️ We’ll have to see about the head transplant thing though. Headless horseman stories gives me the creeps hahaha but I hear you. Its a matter of time for nano technology..
Anybody here from the U.K with this injury and had successful treatment?? I suffered a bracial plexus from a car accident when I was 21, now 32 and still wish for some sort of cure or more progress.
Motorcycle accident Aug 2012. Avulsed c6-t1 nerves in my left arm. Had two surgeries the first year, gaining bicep function. Became a single dad of of three in 2013 with my youngest still in diapers. Phantom pain is bad but keeping busy is the best way to get by it. Off all meds, was getting too many side effects before. Was a master automotive technician before, now I manage the same shop I worked at. I also worked a part time job maintaining a fleet of cars for a few years, was able to do everything one handed from brakes, timing belts, steering boxes... I learned that I can do everything one handed as I did before with two, may need to do it differently or be slower but there is nothing I can't do other than tie my shoes, lol. I'm currently doing a frame off truck restoration by myself. Gave up on dating, tried dating apps with no luck, seems like having three kids and having a disabled army is a big turn off.
Im just now finding this video im suffering with everything you said brother, from the phantom pain, to the everyday challenges. I was pedestrian struck by a car on Febuary 1st 2014, but since then, i've learned how to adapt, make changes, and get stronger, heck i can still play videogames. All in all, we are still strong and i salute those who go through with this injury and have chosen to make a life for themselves, ya know, small thing to a giant!
Very inspiring my brother, I have total brachial plexus palsy with nerve root avulsions from C5-T1 a year ago today 4/21/2017, from a motorcycle accident. I'm a former State Trooper (Law Enforcement) and now my life has completely changed. The pain is worse than not being able to use my arm and hand. I've had a nerve transfer at Mayo Clinic moving two of the intercostal nerves from lungs to my arm to hopefully regain elbow flexion with no positive results yet....Any insight or ideas you have to help would be much appreciated! With love from America, Chris
Hi Chris, thank you for sharing. Yes you are right, it would be a life changer if we could only get rid of the pain. The pain is something I can never get used to, but hey life goes on regardless. Keeping the mind busy is what helps me cope. I have taken on many hobbies from working leather to rebuilding car engines. Yes its frustrating but many of my hobbies taught me patience and the outcomes is almost always positive. Seeing and experiencing a work of art built and made by just one hand restores the dignity one lose after such a life changing accident. That is something I want to tell everyone, so thats one of my best advice. Hell even frying and chopping up a steak all by yourself even if that sucker jumps around everywhere was one of my first things a felt proud of accomplishing. It just kept pushing the boundaries from there with even more challenging things. I guess what I want to say is, never stop challenging yourself. If some miracle lands on the scene that takes the pain away, life with one hand would pretty much be normal as if I had two. Good luck and keep in touch.👍🏻
Chris! How you doing man!? I also was in a motorcycle accident. I also have a complete C5-T1 avulsion and i also was treated at the Mayo Clinic with the same intercostal nerve surgery! Dr. Allen Bishop was the lead on my surgery along with a team of 10! I also had a double gracilis muscle transfer, something I'm not sure they do any more. i was the 4th person in the US to have the muscle transfers (back in 1997). Reach out to me by phone if you would like. 616-843-1432 or contact me by email at naterowland@ymail.com. Lets chat! Maybe the discussion can help us both!
I have the same problem. i had many surgeries for it but no recovery yet. but now i can lift my hand. i have a severe pain in my arm. do you no any pain killers or something for that. thanks. god bless you!!
gabapentin 300-1200 mg/day (you have to take it daily) I go 300-600/day then shoot up to 1200 mg when the pain flairs up. You have to take it like a supplement.
Thanks for putting this video together. This is something I've talked about doing for years and years for the same reason, to pull us all together in hopes of helping others through the "storm". I have a complete avulsion of C5-T1 for 22 years (complete paralysis) as a result of a motorcycle accident (1997 Honda CBR600F3). My accident was June 4 1997 and within 6 months I went under the knife at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. I had both gracilis (thigh) muscles transferred into my arm (2 surgeries, 2 months apart Dec 1997, Feb 1998) and intercostal nerves (nerves on the lungs were transferred and retrained) to regain elbow flexion, shoulder stability and some hand function (all fingers open up at once, all fingers close at once). The concept of these Mayo Clinic surgeries is to give us a similar function as a prosthetic but doing it with our own anatony! The results were good for me i think. I have shoulder stability reducing the stress on my neck (a huge problem before the surgery). I am able to pull my arm in against my body (like if I fell down or if i bend over) which maybe doesn't sound like much but it most certainly is! To be able to pull it in against my body helps me roll over in bed and to keep it against me when needing to protect it from harms way! I also have elbow flexion and I can put 20-30lbs of pressure against my arm! You would be surprised how much I can carry! Its useful for say a laundry basket. I put pressure against the basket and use my good arm for balance. This is highly useful for many things, for instance holding a baby, I can use my arm to assist! :) Its mainly a "helper" function. I can pin things against my paralyzed arm to pick things up. I did not get any hand function but I also never followed up to change the length/tension of the tendons which was an option and wrist did not lock up on its own and i did not choose to have my wrist fused (a requirement to get hand function). ANYONE reading this interested in discussing their injury or has questions about my 22 years of experience with this injury and these surgeries can contact me by phone (call or text) 616-843-1432 or by email at naterowland@ymail.com. i would be delighted to share my experience in hope to adding value to yours and yours to mine! God bless and hang in there. You CAN peel an orange and you CAN tie your shoes! It might take a few years but YES YOU CAN! Nate Rowland Fruitport Michigan
Hi Very nice video. I'm Andrew and I've been living with brachial plexus injury for 20 years. Full avulsion. Amputated 13 years ago. Still got bad pain but manage most days. Going through rough patch lately.
🙏 Thank you. I could feel your sincerity and concern and it means so much. I’ve said to everyone that i deal with a lot of loneliness in this simply because there’s no way for my friends and family to really understand even though they try. I’m sorry this has happened to you but I am happy to hear your life is still beautiful.
Hi. I too am suffering from brachial plexus from birth due to a complacent doctor. It's nice knowing I'm not the only one out here with this injury although I would never want anyone to have to deal with the pain or doubts that come with this injury. I can only hope that more people will see your speech to learn that no matter how hard things can be that in the end that there is a great achievement to be awarded.
BPI on 10/10/17 from a Motorcycle accident. Surgery was on 2/13/18, and second surgery was on 3/20/18. I had both a nerve transplant, and a nerve graft done. I am currently patiently waiting on the results. C5 was completely torn from the spine. C6 & C7 were severely damaged. ----The pain in my hand is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I take 0 medication for it though. In my humble opinion, we have to really just do the mind over matter thing in regards to it. Those pain meds can turn into a whole new problem. Thank you for sharing your story, and I wish you nothing but the best Bro! I'll definitely comment back with my progress in the near future.
Goodness bro, I do hope the surgeries pays off. Yep OUT OF THIS WORLD is the correct take on it, in fact its sometimes crazy to think we have to keep a straight face in public. Anyways please do comment on your progress. A close friend of mine is also going for some surgery but he is getting some kind of device implant. I’ll also try to get him on this channel to give some feedback on a before and after. Cheers👍🏻
Mine was 2002 and this week I finally found a way to change the light bulb and lamp shade on my landing ceiling flex light......I did chip a tooth though, the shade was heavier than I thought. For real it made me so happy.
Same story brother. Same issue, right arm. 16 years ago. I feel your pain. We have to become 1 arm ninjas. I thankfully found a wonderful woman and have a step son and my own 2year old since my injury. I even work part-time now.
Some VERY important information that wasn't shared with me was you have a 12 month window to get the proper surgery to have full mobility of your arm again but will always struggle with pain. I didn't have any medical insurance at the time and when I was eligible for low income state medical, they purposely gave me the run around until it was to late. I made the mistake thinking the hospital and professional advise would serve and guide me in the right direction.
I had a "proper" 10hour surgery myself about 3-4 months after the accident but no such thing as full mobility - I noticed no improvements whatsoever and this includes the Pain
Omg please post more videos! I was in a car accident last year that’s left me not being able to lift my left arm or use bicep functions in my left arm and it’s so hard to find information on it if anyone else with similar injuries. I had surgery to fix it in February. I’m praying for you and hope you see this comment.
I'm Antar and I'm 20 years old , I have Brachial Plexus Injury at birth of my right hand, I can not lift it up or behind, I went to an orthopedist and he told me that your injury ( in the brachial plexus , as he did say one of the nerves had stretched during my birth) , as I mentioned he said that there is no therapy for the brachial plexus in any country in the world( I live in Algeria ) , but I didn't believe that , I said there is a probably a therapy for it and still not lose hope , so bro you are not alone , you had that accident since 2001 , I had it during my birth , but you know what , I really thank my God for being A Muslim , my religion has taught me that I should be patient on whatever Allah test us , and this is one of the Tests , so we always say ALHAMDOULILAH( thanks Allah) , and as i mentioned i still have hope in this life , it's full of surprises . I support you bro , We support each other , We are not Alone. Thanks.,
Allah should not have let the injury happen. Allah did not take care of you when you were being delivered and let that doctor cause that permanent injury to your body. You will carry that with you to your grave ! The same thing has happened to me.
@@freemindas No , you are wrong. Allah is the wisest, he created us and knows what's best for us , we Muslims believe that this life , is a life of test , the real eternal life begins at the day of judgment. But for now , we need to be patient, and succeed in the test , and say : El hamdoulilah for all the situations .
I had a car crush back in 2008 i have same injury on my right arm and got scar on my neck. It helped me alot with binaural beats and frequency for nerves, i am making progress. I've been there where are you brother. We are blessed. Keep the faith and hope. Stay strong brother and send the mind on your goal and you get there, that helped me alot.
Thank u for sharing. I offer my sympathy to u and everyone in the comment section.May the divine be with u all and give u all healing. Beleive in miracles. Much love and light to u all. Stay blessed.
the pain is so distracting my only desire is to do more of what i hurt myself doing (and i have a lot) but it's time consuming and expensive. my problem is my career has suffered due pain/distraction and limited use but very well disguised left arm. Complete lefts shoulder reconstruction after a snowboard accident. My other shoulder is overworked and has 3 muscles with slight damage. my back needs attention LOL. i feel best when i'm distracted from the nerve pain (extreme palm sensitivity like skin ripping at the lines, wooden fingerbones, pinching skin on forearn) and my shoulder is not quite in the right spot so it catches and that's a pain i used to not feel because the nerve pain was so bad (it has subsided but has leveled out and consistent now). It feels sooo much better than it did for years, i couldn't move it for 6 months and the extreme pain of my finger tips ripping off when the electrified firebolts came from my shoulder out my finger tips and my armskin was on fire for about 8 months. I laughed like a madman to see my arm laying there ...not burning or dripping with molten lead! i know i'm lucky i can move it at all for about 6 months. it took about 3 years to gets as recovered as i think i can. my major problem is finding the right job that is conducive to my hypertensive hand on a weak arm. a job not too demanding for my distracted mind! LOL i have a lot of empathy for those with one arm or with disabilities in general. the pain has made me more focused on enjoying life partially because the injury cost me my career that i hated! the pain is very real. i look normal because i can use my arm and hand but both are smaller than the other side. gloves help greatly but cramps are easy to get because of the lack of stamina in the muscles from my back to my fingers. i don't want sympathy but know that there are lots of people in pain debilitating pain that is not obvious and i commend those striving to enjoy life though pain.
Thank you for this video ,, really touched my hart .. I am suffering from this disability since i was born and child life was very hard .. after my teenage i realized that this happened for a reason and it made me start trying harder and instead of let my disability put me down ... Thank you once again
Thanks for sharing, when I stated my search for answers I realized that there were those like you who has this since birth and I could not begin to fathom your childhood struggle. You are a great testimony for staying positive and beating this disability to the ground.
I have brachial plexus avulsion too as of August 2018 from tripping over my dog at night. My Dr never did MRI of my neck. Another Dr did. But it was almost 1.5 yrs later. You are right my family help alot but don't understand what it's like. I am right handed and have to try to be a leftie. I can't do my hair which is my biggest complaint. Thank you for the video and knowing I am not alone.
Thank you for this video brother. i've been looking on the internet of people's who have experiencing this kind of injury. way back May 01, 2019 when i met my first motorcycle accident and left me with BPI until now the pain kills me everyday. Good luck to us brother from philippines. 💕💕💕
I believe in you guys, I was born with this and I have achieved so many things even tho it feels like a struggle sometimes but I don't let it get in the way of what I want to achieve, you guys can do it too
Wow watching this is incredible! My name is Devon, I too have brachial plexus in my left arm. My arm is completely paralyzed shoulder down, and mine also happened from a motorcycle accident. I’ve had multiple surgeries now due to the accident, mainly trying to regain movement, feeling and remove nerve pain. I don’t know how many surgeries were specifically on my arm but I’ve had 22 in total. As for my accident I hit a truck on the highway. It’s almost a little mind blowing for me watching this because your arm looks identical to what mine looked like pre-amputation. And this is my first time searching for anyone else with BP sense my accident in 2012 so it’s pretty amazing. I did meet one person with it while I was in the hospital but luckily she didn’t have pain from hers. It’s honestly really nice to hear what you’ve said about the pain though. I remember when it first happened I’d be laying in the hospital bed crying begging the nurses for any type of medication I could get. Luckily now it’s not quite as bad as then, idk maybe I’m just more used to it or something. I’m also on an outrageous amount of painkillers so I’m sure that helps lol. Anyways, I hope I didn’t over share but I really enjoyed the video! It’s nice to know there are people out there like me! Take care!
We meet again! i commented on your comment on another video a few months ago lol im still trying to convince my boyfriend to reach out to someone like you so he can actually talk to someone who knows exactly what hes going through, but hes stubborn...maybe one day hell actually do it lol
@@laureos hey! I totally understand what he's going through, I've had BP for almost 10 years now so I've had plenty of time to think about it and try and understand wtf is going on and the why me and all of that type of stuff. It's not easy that's for sure, talking to someone would definitely help I'm sure of it. I'd be happy to talk with him if he's ever up for it.
Is there some way we could all get together and talk online? I bet we have ideas to help each other. For example, I wear a wrist thing for carpel tunnel from amazon that helps me A LOT with pain. It also gives me a place to rest my wrist so I do not damage it. Anyone know of a forum we could all connect on?
I was born with this condition on my right hand but you know what? We all can achieve are dreams no matter how hard we try! I'm an artist and my condition is not stopping me from doing what I love....don't let anyone get to you!❤🙌
Thank you. I suffered a motorcycle accident 5 months ago and have brachial plexus. Left arm is paralyzed. I’m trying to stay positive. About to have surgery to try to regain some movement, what are your feelings about that? And also any thoughts about stellate ganglion block for pain? I’m so grateful for your compassion and sharing yourself and stories that make me feel so much better. Especially about the pain. It’s so hard to explain I have the most pain in the place that I can’t feel. Rock on to you and to all my brachial brothers and sisters that are fighting the good fight staying positive and loving life no matter what it throws our way ;-)
Hey! I'm only 14 but I have the same Injury as you when I recked my dirtbike on June 19th, 2017 and I've had my surgery and I'm on my way to recovery. I know how u feel i had to change my whole life style and all I'm saying is I'm here with you!
pain support group I've had one surgery that fix three of my nerves and a total of 9 hours of operation back in October. My neuro doctor said I should get about 85 to 90% of my strength back
Similar injury, similar pains. ty for the video, looking for sites or pages that have tips on one handed living. LOL after ten years of this, I still look for tricks that will help me do things around the house and garage. Where can we share what we have learned from our life experiences.
7 months post-injury, and I'm still in pain. I'm told I'm lucky I've still got use of my arm, but the people telling me that don't even slightly understand the pain level. Despite this, I refuse to give up karate, and I've mastered one arm swimming...gutted though, as I was a bit of a ballerina/stunt artist in the water, now reduced to slow lane swimming! I can't remember the last time I slept! As for work...they have no clue...I can look normal, they'll tell me to pick things up, and BANG neuropathy! Then there's the sicky, dizzy feeling! The doctor has no clue how to treat the condition! I'm getting well peed off with the whole thing! I just want to do yoga again, without compromising and adapting! You know, first 3 months were hell...I've never felt pain like it...without family I'd have "given up" entirely!
Thank you my brother I have the same injury from a car accident I lost my leg to and broke my back in three places I never let nothing stop me but it’s people out here that really need to hear this very inspirational story you’re amazing brother
@@earlholler7872 I'm not sure if anyone is active in this post. I'd be happy to talk with you. I have a brachial plexus injury in my left hand. I have had multiple surgeries. I am unsure what to do or to just accept life with a paralyzed hand (probably the second option). I was hoping to hear from others who deal with the injury.
I had my accident six weeks ago thankfully less serious than the majority on here. My main loss at this stage is Bicep movement, the chronic pain mentioned is an overriding issue, as so many say concentration is non-existent and my only focus is on the injury and hopefully getting back to full health. I'm getting very little advice from specialists who initially prescribed Gabapentin and then Pregablin with a wash down of Oramorph. I spent a week trying the Oramorph and found little benefit so stopped that, i'm currently on 300mg of Pregablin and will double that soon but not convinced it does anything. I really would like a nights sleep, currently getting naps so obviously the sleep deprivation has a negative knock on to everything. Thanks for Vid though and keep fighting on.
I have a brachial plexus injury also from an ATV accident in 2006.. I deal with some crazy pains.. I have an SCS (Spinal Chord Stimulator) implanted in me for pain.. I’ve been blessed to have my wife (of 28 years) and kids and family support me emotionally as well as financially at times..God bless you and your family..Glad I’m not alone in this crazy journey thru life.. I’m 46 years old n are doing different hobbies with my wife.. trying to enjoy life... but there are days that I just cringe in pain n don’t wanna do nothing.. thank you for your testimony.. mahalo 🤙🏽
Sept 2012. I got into a bad motorcycle accident caused by people racing their cars in the freeway . I have a compound fracture of the femur and yes TBPI ( coma for 2 wks) . Cant move my right arm and the pain was unbelievable . I was told my arm functions will never come back since they fused my C1 C2 and C3 . Depression ensued and my weight dropped to 120 lbs. ...my triceps works but my biceps , forearm , thumb and index is a no go. . It came back albeit not 100 % after 2 yrs after extensive theraphy . I can ride my mountain bike again ..
Hi good day thanks for sharing i am also suffering a brachial plexus at the moment while watching your video it made me cry because in my 34 years of existance here on earth. I think this is the worst by far its so hard to move with one arm only and it is hard to wake up everyday knowing that everything will not be back to normal again.
@@charkeeofficial hang in there bro.. i was so lucky my arm (my dominant arm ) came back after 2 years. 3 failed EMG test The biggest hurdle was the depression . . Do you have any movement at all .. like fingers etc?
@@toetz4491 my fingers are still working i just cant lift my arms i have a video for my exercise on my channel bro it hit me bad and caused anxiety and depression bec my dominant arm was affect there are veins on my clavical that is not responding after my EMG
@@charkeeofficial one of the best routine I came up with was ... lay flat in the center of the bed and raise the bad arm straight up with the help of the good arm and slowly release it.. i eventually can hold and balance it up without dropping but will fall if i made a wider circle but eventually, i can make a wider circle . That was the time i knew i will get thru this
Jesse Ahumada I’ve had it since birth as well, Im able to play sports just with limited movements from my arm. I can also do push ups but can’t fully extend the damaged arm while doing it
Thank you for this video. My father has the same injury and the road ahead looks uncertain. Doctors are not very hopeful that his situation will change. We try and support him as best we can, but this is uncharted territory for us. We would love to get in touch.
Yeah tell me about it. Doctors are amazing but they don't always have the answers. Tell your Dad there is someone in the world who knows exactly how he feels. If he wants to fight the situation and go through with the many surgeries, then I'm supporting all the way. I he decides to accept and live life the way it is now, then I'm also there. All he needs to know is there is hope and joy and still a beautiful life to life. The body is amazing to accept changes if the mind is willing. Bless you😊
I got this as well since 2004. Just ignore this awful sense (thats what I'm trying to do all the time) and fight it. I tend to focus on the positive aspects / outcome. This way you will overcome many things. Once I came to conclude it is actually a blessing.
Crashed my 1000 cc ninja in 2015 right arm brachial plexus and right below knee amputee life changing had my struggles but if excepted it and life is improving good video bro
Thanks for this vid as im struggling to come to terms with the injury to my left arm as a result of a motorcycle accident 2 months ago....no movement apart from small amount finger twitch ....awaiting a referral to brachial plexus specialist ....its the not knowing to what extent i will get the use of my left arm back is playing on mind heavely .all the usual worries financially etc. Although i have pain in my upper arm shoulder an hand it doesnt appear to be on same chronic level as most of the previous comments or am i being naive as it may get worse as the swelling an numbness disappears thanks again
I am so sorry for what happened! I can imagine what is going through your mind. I really really really hope its just a nerve stretch which heals over time. In my case this what I was hoping for in the beginning, but turned out to be unlucky. So I’ll be praying that you’ll get good news! However should this not be the case, life will get challenging but there always remain hope. I’m here if you need me friend.
Was at the b plexus specialist yesterday an had good news as i my nerves are only badly stretched... according to the doc it will take 1000 days ish as a arm is 1m long an nerves regenerate at 1mm .....so heres hoping Thanks for the support
Im here because of a motorcycle 🏍 injury just over 2 yr ago .causing nerve damage not as severe as urs but not alot better . The pain and mental struggle is tough me
Pot Moon I could move it early on. I had surgery at 5 so I could bring my arm in closer to my chest. I still don’t have full range of motion on it. I can’t lift it over my head
I don’t normally ask for help but I’m needing it right now. I feel so alone because how drastically my life has changed since my accident and getting this disease. I’m told all the time to reach out if I need to so I’m doing it now...
I know exactly what you are talking about. At a stage it got so bad that people sat circles around me in a crowd as if the loneliness were emanating from me. Its is not as if there is something wrong with us as a person, its just that we dont have someone to relate to in what we are going through. The pain is a big deal and so part of our daily routine and is therefore part of our conversations. I can imagine normal healthy people not being able to associate with us. Well all I can tell you is that through staying positive, prayer and not giving up I met the most awesome people that understood me. I even met a friend who lost his hand in a accident who goes through exactly the same kind of pain every day. We met in church and became the best of friends. He is my go-to guy when I want to rant/rave/complain/lash out/freak out over this ruthless pain and I’m the same for him. I really want to help you, I can be that friend. I’m here to support where I can. God bless you and hope to hear from you. Perhaps some time close in the future I’ll start n messaging group to connect everyone subscribed on this channel.
pain support group thank you for replying. I really appreciate it. I’ve fairly new to this disease. I got shot during a home invasion. The bullet missed my heart by a half of an inch but tore my brachial plexus to shreds. I had to get 12 units of blood because I lost so much. The surgeons had my mother come say her goodbyes to me before they started to do surgery because they said there was no chance in hell I would survive but here I am 7 months later wishing that could’ve been the outcome. I don’t know where to go or what to do. I miss my old life so so bad!! So yea.. that’s a little of my story.
pain support group I guess I should tell you a little bit more about my injury though. My left arm is completely paralyzed. I cannot move my hand or fingers at all. My shoulders jumps every once in a while but I can’t move it on my own. I get the phantom pains and I lash out at people who love me the most and I’m just tired of being miserable.
Hang in there buddy, I did this too with the people that were close to me. It still happens but I do my part to make things right, my injury were not their fault and they shouldn’t get the wrath of it. I hope you understand. But hang in there buddy, you are tougher than you think. You’ll overcome by staying positive. The pain needs to fought in the brain, negativity and hopelessness just makes the pain worse with no end in sight. Trust me on this one. But I’m here to listen, I apologize if I reply late, but I will reply. Good luck and all the best👍🏻
So sorry for your injury. Been there since 2005. Yes when you are in pain it is hard not to lash out at those around you, esp when they talk about their pains. They have no ideal. But we learn to live with it. Personally I remove myself from the room when it becomes unbearable, and have stopped my car on the road so I could scream when needed. But I do try to never let my friends or family see my pain, "try" being the key word. Life is good, just different. Christ is Great!
will I ever be able to ride scooty again...cant raise my right...broke right clavicle on 2nd nov...burning pain in upper back...trying to do everything with left hand...
Can we get an update , I got shot through my chest 5 months ago and the bullet went up and came out the top of my shoulder . It saved my life but left me with a severe biracial plexus injury. I’m fighting hard and getting my strength back , I’m trying to hold a 5 pound dumbell from time to time
I'm from Serbia, 27, I've had the same kind of injury in 2006...In a car accident... I've been through a lot of shit since then. I've had a nerve transplantation but without success so....i know... Thanks for the video

I was in a bad car accident June 13 2018 and flew out of the windshield. I have a brachial plexus avulsion in my left arm as a result along with other injuries. I’m having my 2nd surgery in a couple weeks and I just would like to know would I regain my arm again cause it’s completely paralyzed like yours. & the pain is in crucial. I have to take 6 gabapentins a day along with 3 Tylenol’s every 6 hours. Any suggestions? Tips or help ?
Hi Brian, I haven’t met a nurse to date that gives a thumbs up towards bikes and especially quads, I bet you still get it from them ever since haha. 6 Years after my accident I decided to try a quad one day. Everything went well until I took a sharp right turn...lets just say I got the shaking head from nurses for a few hospital visits after that. Jokes aside, you have my empathy brother. All the best.
I'm 23, I was injured after jumping out of a car almost 9 years ago now. Everyday of my life I have experienced sharp pains, tingling, burning, and spasms. Sometimes I seriously want to give up, it's so unbearable! Thank you for sharing your experience it's refreshing to see someone who understands the severity & what it takes to get through everyday.
Moscow, 2009, intersection, moped meets speeding car, same arm, all 5, root avulsion. Had plastic surgery-too invasive, little effect (my case). Pregabalin. Cut it off last summer. Same pain, more freedom. Not advocating, just sharing. Stay sane! *hugs*
Hi brother im from Turkey and you are like my mirror... I have the same think with my left arm. From 2015 Fucking total brakial plexus.sorry for my bad inglish im understanding %75 to you but im feeling %100.
I have complete brachial plexus avulsion injury too from a accident in 2005. I spiraled out of control and became a addict for over a decade but fortunately I have amazing parents that didn't give up on me and helped me through my darkest times. Im doing so much better now and I'm trying to get healthy again and exercise but I'm completely lost on how to exercise my chest and back. Does anyone have a solution to this??
My husband has been living with this injury now for 1 1/2 years now. Yesterday his doctors suggested he have his shoulder fused and he should have the arm amputeed. Can you tell me why you decided to keep your arm?
Hi, i'm Corey, When I was a baby I was 11 1/2 lbs. I am a male and when I was a baby the Doctor that delivered me was having a difficult time getting me out and he pulled me out by my left arm because in a few more minutes I would have been dead. so all my life from the Doctor pulling me out by my left arm, it is a bit shorter by a few inches and thinner and weaker then my right arm, but still the same like my right just different and bent in my the elbow just a bit... but still I notice it and I have hated this my whole life.. and I can't lift it over my head but I can move it and do regular activities I just can't lift my left arm that high and I can't turn my arm like wrist up like arm wrestle position since forever, I can't curl my arm up since birth, I can only lift maybe only up to about my forehead, all my life I have had this birth defect and I hate it for the past 31 years of my life, so I recently came to finally accept it and trying to better my situation. I have been trying to strengthen my arm and trying everything. it's not going as I planned.. I don't know how to fix this, I have been to doctors and none want to help me or even know what my condition is even called, one doctor said it's called "brachial plexus"
Omg i have exactly the same story and also with my left arm. Now i’m 20 years old studying and living a normal life. It’s not bothering me at all but I still wish I can do more physical activities. We should just stay strong and accept it the way it’s and be thankful that at least we have an arm. Greetings from Germany
Did you ever have any chronic pain? I cannot stand the mine after my brachial plexus injury. My hand feels like it's being crushed and it is chronic pain.
Hi Hector, yes I also had the crushing feeling especially on my phantom fingers. But over time it changed to a burning/frying feeling. I can also describe it as a electric storm type of thing, like as if thunder starts crackling and reach like a peak and suddenly its over, then the cycle starts repeating. Yeah I feel with you, hang in there bro. Its crazy to think life goes on regardless of this unforgivable pain. Let me know how things go.
pain support group I went to a brachial plexus injury specialist and I will be having my surgery on Wednesday. He will be doing exploration and also nerve transfer transplant. Something new that develop within the last week or so is that my shoulder feels like if it's going to pop out of its socket. Also my back hurts and it's very hard for me to get out of bed to do things that I could even do two weeks ago. I really hope the surgery helps at least with the pain . I know for sure I have at least one or two nerve avulsions. the pain is so great that it doesn't even let me concentrate and I don't have a mind for things like that. My girlfriend is the one that handles all that and knows my specific injury. Wish me luck for my surgery
They move the nerve from the rear of my foot to fix another nerve and now I am bedridden for 4 weeks. whenever I get up to go to the restroom or do anything I get an intense pain or the nerve was removed. I can feel the blood rushing to it and it's pure pain.
I was shot back in February and suffered this injury to my right shoulder and arm, everyday it's a sturgle just to the simple things, by not being about to work I've lost everything and somedays i just wanna kill myself, maybe with surgery it wilm get better but i know exactly what you're going through
No doubt these suicidal thoughts are there, but it is so not worth the deed. Its you against the world, people and pain. You feel out gunned and outnumbered, but hey its all lies. Your thoughts are your greatest weapon if the barrel is faced away from you. It takes great practice, but as sure as heaven exists and hell being under your feet you are a victorious warrior if you live to see another day. The bravest of the brave such as you and me and all the others on this channel are chosen ones to prove to the world life goes on. I feel your pain brother, literally, but you are a success with every breath you take from here on out till its your time to be fetched off this earth rather than to be stolen from us off this earth. God bless you brother and Im here for you.
Hi my brother was involved in a motorcycle accident last February. He had a nerve transplant in September No movement or feeling. This is his right arm. He loss all of his muscle. His arm is very skinny. My brother is very fit went to the gym everyday. Now he doesn't go he's in pain all the time. He's very depressed. I feel really bad for brother. Did you have a nerve transplant? .
Hello, I'm very sorry for his loss, first time the doctors told me the news I felt like the whole world caved in on me. I was a very active person and always did stuff with my hands. But 17 years down the line I discovered I was still doing stuff with my hand. The skinny part is a reality, but there are braces that could make up for that, people at some stage defined me as robocop. My brace got old and worn out, so Im getting a replacement. One thing I can advise for your brother is to stay fit and active. Fit and being active was never about others, its about you, if you know what I'm saying. He must continue to make it about him, and not give up a passion. Dont let the world and a accident steal something he loved doing. Tell him I said hi, and tell him all is not lost, start to take back and he'll even get more than he bargained for. In many ways this is what happened to me. Perhaps he didn't get what he wanted in life, but it also doesn't mean that he'll stop getting. But he must choose what he wants to receive. Many many times I'm faced with depression, and I fight that devil daily, but time taught me victory more times than defeat and a good life has always been the reward. I encourage him to armor up because it is definitely worth it.
Thank you very much. He doesn't see it yet. I pray for him everyday that he will want to fight and take back his life. As of right now he just lays in bed all day and says he can't go to the gym go out to the mall ect...he says the pain is very uncomfortable. He gets angry and mean towards the ones who loves him and want to help. I'm always encouraging him to look at videos and reach out. His response is that the people in the video are alot futher along than him. I told him he isnt the only person in this world with this injury I just don't know what to do for him anymore. It's hard to watch him wither away. How do you control your pain ? He says he will have pain for the rest of his life. I hope one day that he will be able to live again.
well it took me about a year to get over it and accept the loss, but I still do get annoyed when pain strikes bad. Sometimes my wife do get caught in the crossfire. But I do get over it and apologize and life goes on. As easy it is to give an excuse an blame it on pain, I still take the responsibility in saying sorry. After all an accident is an accident, nobody's fault and everyone makes mistakes as you well know. Take it easy on him, as I said it took me a year, he'll get there too. Just don't stop praying, you'll be amazed at what difference it makes at the end of the day, somebody did it for me and I thank God for that everyday! I deal with the pain in a number of ways, praying, reading bible, going to church, talking to God (weird as people might think these things are, it helps me tremendously), electronics, swimming, trips, programming, building stuff in my workshop, gardening, road trips, working on my car, radio controlled hobbies, just plain enjoying life kind of stuff. Keeping myself busy physically and spiritually kind of gets your mind off the pain. Blessings for you and him and good luck and don't lose hope.
Suggest me a solution to deal with this pain sir. I have been suffering from this disability since 7 years. I too lost function in my right hand as a result of an accident
in my opinion, the best solution is a positive mindset and attitude. I kind of mind over matter thought and thinking. You kill the pain by surrounding yourself with things that brings life and growth into your situation. I have gone down the medication and cannibus oils and medical marijuana path and honestly, while they do have an effect on the brain, it doesnt do much for the soul. Drugs are temporary and wear out quick plus your body gets used to dosages induced. Above all, best solution: acceptance and positive outlook on life. These are things that last. I'm there for you and all the best sir👍🏻 Please ask more questions, I'll be happy to address them in future videos. Good luck
Good afternoon I hope you might be able to answer me I am suffering unbelievably just like the majority of these people here. If you might be able to reach back to me today I’m having a very tough time being that both of my arms have been compromised.
My accident was in 2006 t boned a pick up truck on my motorcycle and I have the same symptoms like you pain and no feeling or movement I think I do more things now then when I had two arms I just can’t drive dump trucks anymore it’s not safe. When I get pain it feels like someone is stabbing my left hand with a knife i usually put my chin to my chest and cradle my arm till the pain stops usually lasts 5 to 10 seconds a few times a day.
This is exactly what I’m feeling. Usually rub left side of my chest too. This helps me to get distracted from the pain. Lately I try to look straight up when I get the pain, cause as you know chin to chest has an affect on back pain after a while especially when the pain comes constantly throughout the day.
I’m glad I found this video my friend I also have a left brachial plexius injury November 2016 avulsed all 5 nerves I got a surgery done April 2017 nerve transfer total root avulsion (12 hours)I’ve gotten some return back triceps , pecs, shoulders, some sensory as well looking to keep on forging forward making more progress and seeing even more return !!

I’m glad you’re doing good Mike you’re the man I’m going through the same thing you guys are God bless

I really needed this video, thankyou and god bless any of you who are also going through hard times!
Thank u .God bless u too.
I'm actually putting together a short documentary about my Aaron. i will post it on TH-cam. my goal is to show it to school age children who might not understand Aarons specialness. i refuse to tell him he is disable because in my eyes he isn't!!! ii wish you well and again thank you
Thank you so much for your video. I just sobbed through it. I just started on this journey on 11/14/19. Thank you for your honesty and hope.
Stay strong and keep going brother.
I wish all you the best, stay a strong and try and stay as active as you can.
me too
My surgery failed and the doctor didnt tell me to wait 6 month 😆😆
Now how you hands bro
Same here may 2017
❤️ You own the respect to speak up brother. Mine also left hand.
Thank you brother👍🏻👍🏻 A 1993 model and still going strong, keep it up👍🏻
I have the same injury!! We just have to live on! Life doesn’t stop for our injury!
I also have brachial plexus nerve injury in left hand since 9 march 2017 and i have restored the 70% of function only by physiotherapy.
Don't go for operation, operation is the last option. First go with physiotherapy.
How many nerves was your damaged
In first three months or after that people say movement on its own come in 3 months then after that surgery should be done
Physiotherapy helps only in cases where nerves are only stretched and if the nerves are completely broken or out of alignment then surgery is necessary.
I’ve had this since birth. This has been my life.
i feel u . i have it to since the birth

Wow! Thank you for sharing your story. It brought tears of hope to my eyes. My boyfriend is going through the same thing your going through. He can't use his left arm due to a car accident in 2006. He and I have been together for 7 years and he is my inspiration. Your wise words are so inspiring so thank you! 🙏💖🙏
Thank you Brenna, you are also a pillar in his life believe me. Thank you for the blessed words.

This video gives me hope. Thank you!
Mine was a cbr929. 😁. Thank you for sharing your story. And offering support to everyone. Very kind of you!
Hi
Very nice video.
Really appreciate ur video ur right no1 realy understands apart from some1 with dame or simar injuries
Hi. I too am suffering from brachial plexus from birth due to a complacent doctor. It's nice knowing I'm not the only one out here with this injury although I would never want anyone to have to deal with the pain or doubts that come with this injury. I can only hope that more people will see your speech to learn that no matter how hard things can be that in the end that there is a great achievement to be awarded.
i have the same shit as you , the worst class of injury i have, its quite a nightmare , the pain is inhuman ,,
BPI on 10/10/17 from a Motorcycle accident.
Cheers👍🏻
Gerald Alvarez Hey, how did your surgeries go? My C5 was also avulsed. I’m waiting for surgery now.
Are you a filipino?
I'm Antar and I'm 20 years old , I have Brachial Plexus Injury at birth of my right hand, I can not lift it up or behind, I went to an orthopedist and he told me that your injury ( in the brachial plexus , as he did say one of the nerves had stretched during my birth) , as I mentioned he said that there is no therapy for the brachial plexus in any country in the world( I live in Algeria ) , but I didn't believe that , I said there is a probably a therapy for it and still not lose hope ,
so bro you are not alone , you had that accident since 2001 , I had it during my birth , but you know what , I really thank my God for being A Muslim , my religion has taught me that I should be patient on whatever Allah test us , and this is one of the Tests , so we always say ALHAMDOULILAH( thanks Allah) , and as i mentioned i still have hope in this life , it's full of surprises .
I support you bro , We support each other , We are not Alone.

We are proud of you my Brother... Alhamdulillah

LOL
i have a lot of empathy for those with one arm or with disabilities in general. the pain has made me more focused on enjoying life partially because the injury cost me my career that i hated!
the pain is very real. i look normal because i can use my arm and hand but both are smaller than the other side.
gloves help greatly but cramps are easy to get because of the lack of stamina in the muscles from my back to my fingers.
i don't want sympathy but know that there are lots of people in pain debilitating pain that is not obvious and i commend those striving to enjoy life though pain.
I have the same injury as well the pain is very hard to deal with I know.you can talk to me if you like I live in ny

Any updates on your arm ?

I know how you feel David I was injured in a surgery The pain is nightmarish concentrating on anything else you are correct unbelievably hard.
I’m 46 years old n are doing different hobbies with my wife.. trying to enjoy life... but there are days that I just cringe in pain n don’t wanna do nothing.. thank you for your testimony.. mahalo 🤙🏽
Were u able to get your disability started because I have the same injury and I can barely move my arm but I've been turned down twice already
Pot Moon yes I did.. it took 2 years and a good lawyer.. I don’t make much but it’s something to help out..
@@jadelinnfernandez8624 Thanks, it's been almost a year for me
Pot Moon. Hope u get it.. god bless

That was the time i knew i will get thru this
@@toetz4491 is there a way i can connect with so that i can get more ideas brother. So that i can perform your strategy as well
woah. I've had my injury since birth (i was pulled out the womb wrong). it's really tough living with it but I've managed to do quite a bit.
What have u done? Cuz I've had it since birth and I honestly hate it, so hard to do anything
Jesse Ahumada I’ve had it since birth as well, Im able to play sports just with limited movements from my arm. I can also do push ups but can’t fully extend the damaged arm while doing it
@@AbdelXtreme that's crazy that you can actually do push ups because I really can't do much
Jesse Ahumada Yeah I hope your arm does get better, I constantly stretch/ work it out. Its like it helps but barely but somethings better than nothing
@@AbdelXtreme i honestly never worked it out because I gave up on it
Thank you 👊🏻
Thank you for this video.
Bless you😊
God bless uh
I got this as well since 2004. Just ignore this awful sense (thats what I'm trying to do all the time) and fight it. I tend to focus on the positive aspects / outcome. This way you will overcome many things. Once I came to conclude it is actually a blessing.
It felt like dying and being 2 years later at least
partialy reborn. I cried, nobody gave me a break and I broke. Bro all the best. Good luck

Was at the b plexus specialist yesterday an had good news as i my nerves are only badly stretched... according to the doc it will take 1000 days ish as a arm is 1m long an nerves regenerate at 1mm .....so heres hoping

How long did it take you to move your arm?
Pot Moon I could move it early on. I had surgery at 5 so I could bring my arm in closer to my chest. I still don’t have full range of motion on it. I can’t lift it over my head
Elena Zuniga were u able to get disability because of it, I'm trying to get mine started

I have the same exact thing. I had my accident when I was 14 on a quad.
Bro, a you know about muscle transfer surgery?
Moto injury broke ulna radius and humerus also lacerated radial nerve and possible brachial plexus injury
Same here.. Everything is changed after accident..
I’m injured 2012 and my right hand and my right leg is not working and continues 24 hours deep pain in my hand and neck ....
Me also bro...Every tym burning pain
My husband has been living with this injury now for 1 1/2 years now. Yesterday his doctors suggested he have his shoulder fused and he should have the arm amputeed. Can you tell me why you decided to keep your arm?
I’m 2 years in pain still here I’m gonna be saving this vid
I’m the same but I’m only 12
Did you ever have any chronic pain?
Christine Stephens I have the same problem here :( nearly 4 years i'm suffering from this pain and bearing it
Suggest me a solution to deal with this pain sir.
