    The small detail about the hand was huge for me, I always felt unstable and off balance going for this but the hand on the matt makes it 10 times more stable comfertable and fluid for me. Appreciate the content man

    Wrestled a bit when I was younger. Started no-gi jiu jitsu about a year ago, for the most part I’ve been getting away with blast doubles with a turn to either side, running the pipe with singles, or slide by’s from the collar tie. But I’ve recently realized that I’ve been missing something from my arsenal that I used to utilize during my wrestling, football, and rugby days….the sweep single. The sweep single acts almost like a cheat code against fantastic takedown defense. Most of the effort being done for you by using that angle to offset your opponents balance and then using the had to create a forward pressure into the shin or outside knee. A lot of the times resulting in an immediate takedown. Just got away with spamming the sweep single yesterday at practice, works fantastic against both smaller and bigger opponents.

    • @KOLATCOM
      @KOLATCOM  ปีที่แล้ว

      You have to work on your mental game. This comes with meditation and visualizations. Do some deep breathing exercises everyday in a quiet place while visualizing yourself scoring and winning in front of a large crowd. Visualize the win and getting your hand raised and the crowd cheering for you. Also, you must do everything you can to prepare for the match by training hard and this will give you the confidence you need to succeed. On the day of the match you may want to but on some headphones with your favorite inspirational music to drown out the noise so you can focus on your objective. If you prepare yourself like this you will be ready when you stop on the mat because you have been there and done it already in your mind.
